OBJECTIVE: To evaluat the effects of a culture medium with glucose in the presence of glutamine on the development of mouse embryos. METHODS: Two-cell embryos recovered from ICR mice at 48 hrs after hCG injection (mated just after hCG injection) were cultured in DMEM (with 20% hFF) supplemented with or without glucose on the presence of glutamine. Embryos were cultured under three different glucose regimens: (1) 0 mM (control); (2) 0.5 mM (group I); or (3) 3.15 mM (group II), and were analyzed at 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours intervals. Chi-square test (x2-test) was used to compare values of groups. RESULTS: No differences were found in the number of embryos showing morula (control: 37.5%; group I: 51.0%; group II: 48.4%), blastocyst (control: 21.5%; group I: 33.3%; group II: 34.4%) and blastocyst and hatching or hatched blastocyst (control: 81.9%; group I: 83.3%; group II: 82.8%) between groups at 24 hrs, 48 hrs or 72 hrs respectively. However at 96 hrs, the number of hatched and attached blastocyst was significantly higher in group I (82.3%) and II (78.5%) than control (63.2%; P<0.05). CONCLUSION: The addition of glucose (0.5 mM) to the DMEM, as energy source, improved the rate of development of late stage embryos in mice.

3. Microsurgical accurately treated spinal dura! arteriovenous fistulas with intraoperative spinal digital subtraction: report or 2 cases and review of the literatures
Chinese Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2019;16(2):97-100
Hie medical records of 2 case∗ of spinal dural arteriovenous fistula (SDAVF) treated in the hybrid operating room were analyzed retrospective])- and die relevant literatures were reviewed to evaluate the clinical value of intraoperative 9pinal digital subtraction angiography (SDSA) combined with image fusion technology. Both case9 were diagnosed by spinal angiograms before operation. Both fistulas were accurately found at thoracic level and surgically disconnected in the hybrid operating room. The modified Aminoff- Loguc scores (mALS) was used to evaluate the spinal function. Intraoperative SDSAs were performed immcdiaicly after disconnections, and the fistulas were showed to be completely disappeared. The duration of intraoperative SDSAs and Image fusion for fistula localization were 70 and 60minutes respectively. No SDSA-redated complications happened. "Hie clinical symptoms of both patients improved variously during 12-14 months of follow-up. The decreasing of mALS were 6 and 5 points respectively. Our experience indicated that intraoperative SDSA combining image fusion technology was helpful for precisely localizing the fistulas of SDAVF,making their surgeries less invasive and the surgical disconnections more reliable.
4.The Effect of Oral Health Education on Oral Health in Kindergarten Children.
Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing 2004;34(1):132-140
PURPOSE: This study was performed to investigate the effects of oral health education on kindergarten children. METHOD: The study was designed as a quasi-experimental, nonequivalent control group pre -post test design. Data was collected from April 1st to November 30th, 2001. The total samples were sixty seven healthy kindergarten children; the experiment group consisted of thirty three and the control group was thirty four children. The experimental group received an oral health education program daily for 20 minutes for four weeks. RESULT : There was significant improvements on oral health behavior in the experimental group. Streptococcus mutans and lactobacilli of the salivary variables in the experimental group were significantly higher than the control group. The dmft was lower in the experimental group than the control group, but there was no significant difference between the two groups. However it was significantly lower in the experimental group than control group over time. CONCLUSION: Oral health education for kindergarten children showed an increase in the use of tooth paste and practicing correct tooth brush usage. Also, it decreased the rate of eating cariogenic food and had a positive effect on oral health through suppressing dental cavities.

Korean Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 1998;41(8):2067-2071
Antioxidants oppose the toxic actions of lipid peroxides and oxygen radicals, and they limit the amount of lipid peroxides formed. Women with normal pregnancies have an increase in oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation when compared with nonpregnant women. The antioxidants also increase progressively with advancing gestation, and the antioxidants in the fetus also increase with advancing gestation, especially during late gestation. The purpose of this study is to investigate the diefference of antioxidant status in maternal and neonatal plasma according to the delivery type. So, we investigated the status of antioxidant in the maternal and neonatal plasma when compared normal vaginal delivery with Cesarian section without labor. This study was done under the hypothesis that labor pain is originated from the hypoxic state of myometrium during uterine contraction. The number of women who were studied was total 56, 24 women were delivered by normal vaginal delivery and 32 women were done by Cesarean section without labor. The blood was sampled during active labor and postpartum 24 hour in the case of normal vaginal delivery, the women who were done Cesarean section being sampled before operation and 24 hours after operation. The neonatal blood was sampled from cord, birth 1 day and 3 day. The antioxidant levels were measured by Total Antioxidant Status (Randox Laboratory Ltd., UK) kit. The results were as follows. 1. The mean maternal plasma antioxidant status was not significantly different according to delivery types and not significantly different when compared antepartum with postpartum (vaginal delivery; antepartum: 1.54+/-0.31 mM/L, postpartum: 1.58+/-0.32 mM/L, Cesarean section; antepartum: 1.55+/-0.29 mM/L, postpartum: 1.56+/-0.33 mM/L). 2. The neonatal antioxidant status was not significantly different between the neonates who were born by vaginal delivery and the neonates who were born by Cesarean section. The neonatal plasma antioxidant status was increased progressively after birth (cord: birth 1 day: birth 3 day=1.46+/-0.25 mM/L: 1.59+/-0.25 mM/L: 1.79+/-0.37 mM/L). Therefore, labor pain was not seems to be significantly affect the maternal and neonatal plasma antioxidant status. And the neonatal antioxidant status was increased for adaptation to the external environment after birth.

Korean Circulation Journal 1986;16(1):155-158
The rupture of ventricular septum complicating acute myocardial infarction requires prompt recognition for the correct management of the patient. The diagnosis of this condition had required right heart catheterization. We performed two-dimensional and Doppler echocardiography in patients with systolic murmur after acute myocardioal infarction. Ventricular septal defect was found at lower interventricular septum by mapping technique of pulsed wave Doppler system and obtained high velocity Doppler tracting by continuous wave Doppler echocardiography. Doppler echocardiography could be useful noninvasive method for detection of ventricular septal rupture after acute myocardial infarction.

The diagnostic value of the DNA polymerase chain reaction for the detection of M. tuberculosis in tuberculous meningitis uas established by using cerebrospinal fluids obtained from 7 bacteriologically confirmed patients (Group IA), 17 clinically diagnosed patients (Group IB), 21 patients with other bacterial or viral meningitis (Group IIA) and two norrnal persons (Group IIB) The PCR was perforrned with P1 and P2 primer set which directed against the 123bp segment of IS5110. A repetitive sequence of M. tuberculosis chromosome. The sensitivity and specificity of the PCR for the detection of M. tuberculosis was evaluated by using DNAs purified from cultured M tuberculosis and M intracellulare . The detection limit by the PCR amplication with Pl and P2 primer was lfg of DNA for M. tuberculosis and lpg for M. intracellulare indicating that the PCR was very sensitive for M. tubererculosis DNA detection; although weakly cross-reactive with DNA of M. tuberculosis. Of the 7 cerebrospinnal fluids from bacterologically proven tuberculous meningitis patients (Group IA), 7 samples were all positive by PCR (10Q%). 15 sarnples of 17 the AFB smear-negative and culture-negative samples from tuberculous meningitis patients (Group IB) were positive by PCR (88.2%) and 2 of 2l sanples from other meningitis patients (Group IIA) showed positive reaction (9.5%). There were no sarnples whick showed positive reaction by PCR among 2 sarnples from normal persons (Group IIB). This results indicated that the PCR using P1 and P2 primer set was useful for the early diagosis of tuberculous meningitis.

Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases 2021;29(8):548-552
Objective:
To explore the feasibility of curettage combined with fenestration for jaw classic ameloblastoma treatment and to provide a basis for improving the treatment of classic ameloblastoma.
Methods:
Twenty-two patients with jaw classic ameloblastoma admitted to Liuzhou People’s Hospital from 2016 to 2019 were selected. They were treated by curettage combined with fenestration. Monthly follow-up visits were conducted after surgery, and orthopantomography was performed for reexamination to observe the recovery of bone and whether there was recurrence.
Results :
Tumors were completely scraped off in 22 patients, no pathological fracture occurred, and no wound infection occurred after surgery. After 1 to 3 years of follow-up, 19 patients showed excellent bone recovery in the original tumor area, and no recurrence was observed. Three patients relapsed and underwent a second curettage combined with fenestration, and the bone at the original tumor site recovered well. During the 12-month follow-up, no tumor recurrence was observed. After the second curettage combined with open surgery, the bone at the original tumor site recovered well. Eight patients underwent dental implants to repair dentition defects one year after surgery.
Conclusion
Curettage combined with fenestration is a convenient and effective treatment for jaw classic ameloblastoma.
9. Diagnosis and treatment of osteoblastic metastasis in patients with breast cancer
Chinese Journal of Oncology 2018;40(6):401-405
Osteoblastic metastasis of breast cancer is relatively rare, but there are cases of misdiagnosis and mistreatment in clinical treatment. They can only be diagnosed by X ray or CT bone scan and must be identified from bone repair after effective treatment in patients with osteolytic or mixed bone metastases. Bone metastasis is often seen in the disease-free condition of breast cancer, and very few can occur in stage Ⅳ lesions prior to surgery. Based on the analysis of clinical phenomena, we questioned the evaluation criteria of the therapeutic effect on bone metastasis of breast cancer created by the World Health Organization and the MD Anderson Cancer Center and concluded the formation mechanism of bone metastasis. For patients with simple osteoblastic bone metastasis, we broke through the recommendations of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network guideline and advocated the concept of "noninterference" . Patients with positive hormone receptor can be treated with traditional endocrine therapy. Hormone receptor negative and/or human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 positive patients can be observed first, followed by chemotherapy and/or targeted therapy when there is osteolytic bone metastasis or visceral metastasis. Furthermore, bisphosphonates are not required since osteoblastic bone metastasis is generally not associated with the risk of bone related events. The active treatment of primary lesion should be taken into account in stage Ⅳ patient before operation.
