Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2007;14(z1):13-14
Objective To study the clinical analysis in the neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE)for evealuation of the severity of brain injury and prognosis. Methods The manifestation, laboratory findings, outcomes of 117 HIE were analyzed. Results Manifestations of HIE in 117 infants included 3 groups(minor level, moderate level, severe level). There was no significant difference in the weight and gestation-age among 3 groups.Scores of Apgar lowing, which Was marked in the severe level(P<0.01). There was significant difference in the level of pH and PaCO2(P<0.01). There was significant difference in the level of blood GLU and BE reduced aboviusly in the severe level, and in the level of BUN,CK-MB,CK increased aboviusly in the moderate and severe level, among all(P<0.01). 69 patients were taked CT on the brain, the abnormal rate of which was 82.6%. The abnormal rate of CT on the brain increased 100% changing with the severity of brain injury on HIE especially in the moderate and severe level. Conclusion The prognosis of the minor level of brain injury on HIE is the best. The prognosis of the moderate-level group who was treated reasonably and enough,is better mostly.

Fluorescent technology is widely used in many fields due to its high sensitivity. However, the direct quantification of one target analyte in complex system is still difficult to be achieved when using the traditional fluorescent method without any pretreatment separation procedure. This is due to the fact that serious overlapping of fluorescence spectra often occurs, mainly originating from natural interferences in complex sample backgrounds, or the interferents with similar structures to a target analyte, particularly in the simultaneous analysis of multi-components samples. The rapid development of modern analytical instruments and three-way data collection techniques has led to a resurgence of interest in the development of chemomet-rics-based analytical strategies, which might light a new avenue to simple experimentation using“mathematical separation” as a replacement or enhancement of“physical or chemical separation” of uncalibrated background or interferents. These methods can offer a highly attractive property, called“second-order advantage”, which allows for the direct and rapid determination of a single target component or simultaneous determination of multiple target components in complex samples, even in the presence of uncalibrated interferences. The property has been a hotspot in the current chemometric domain, and was successfully employed for many applications, such as pharmaceuticals, biological, food, environmental analysis and so on.

Objective To test the inhabiting effect of Lactobacillus acidophilus on E.coli O157: H7 in intestinal colonization and explore its mechanism. Methods The suppressive effects of Lactobacillus acidophilus against E.coli O157:H7 adhering to Ht29 cells were carried out by competition , exclusion and replacement as-says. Furthermore, we evaluated the cytokine levels of IL-4, IL-12, and INF-γ in serum of mice. In addition, E.coli O157:H7 fecal shedding was monitored and the pathological changes of intestines were observed in mice. Results The competition, exclusion and replacement assays showed Lactobacillus acidophilus inhibited E.coli O157:H7 adhering to Ht29 cells. In vivo, the mice of treatment group were induced significantly higher level of IL-4, IL-12, and INF-γ, though prevention group induced IL-12 only. Fifteen days after E.coli O157:H7 infec-tion, there were 8 mice (80%) in prevention group and 5 mice (50%) in treatment group stopped shedding. Moreover, the pathological changes of intestines of both prevention group and treatment group appeared normal , but control groups showed seriously damaged in intestinal villus. Conclusion Lactobacillus acidophilus inhibits E.coli O157:H7 in intestinal colonization and the preventative effect was better than treatment effect. Thus , Lac-tobacillus acidophilus can be used for E.coli O157:H7 in prevention and treatment infection as probiotics.

Chinese Medical Ethics 2024;35(6):649-653
Ethical sensitivity is a behavioral concept emerging in recent years, which has attracted high attention from all sectors of society. Ethical sensitivity not only affects the clinical decision-making, doctor-patient relationship and medical quality of medical staff, but also provides the possibility to identify, predict and solve ethical problems in clinical. Combined with previous studies, this paper analyzed the current situation of ethical sensitivity of medical personnel in China, and took pediatric medical staff as an example to analyze the factors affecting the ethical sensitivity of medical staff from clinical practice and related theories, including age, working years, occupational categories, education level, work environment, empathy ability, etc. At the same time, this paper analyzed the causes of the ethical sensitivity of medical staff from the perspective of clinical practice and related systems, and put forward corresponding countermeasures, so as to improve the ethical sensitivity of medical staff and help to build a harmonious doctor-patient relationship.

Objective:
To understand the fruit consumption of adults of Qingdao and examine the association between fruit consumption and stroke.
Methods:
We analyzed baseline data and stroke incidence of the participants who were aged 30-79 years and had been enrolled into the China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) study from Qingdao city. Cox proportional hazards regression model was conducted to estimate the association of fruit consumption with risk of stroke.
Results:
A total of 35 509 participants were investgated in the baseline survey. Ratio of male to female was 1∶1.27, and the average age was (50.3±10.2) years. Respondents with higher frequency of fruit consumption were younger, more women, with higher education level and higher income (

Objective:
To evaluate the correlation between alcohol consumption and obesity in adults in China.
Methods:
The information about alcohol consumption were collected at the baseline survey of the China Kadoorie Biobank. The general obesity and central obesity were defined by BMI and waist circumference (WC) respectively. Logistic regression model was employed to examine the relationship of drinking behavior with general obesity and central obesity.
Results:
A total of 249 873 adults were included. A J-shaped relationship was observed between alcohol consumption and obesity measurement index (BMI and WC) in men. Compared with non-drinkers, the proportion of general obesity and central obesity were lower in light drinkers (men:
