Objective To compare the effect of various manipulation of Tuina on surface electromyogram (sEMG) in hemiplegics after stroke. Methods From January to May, 2016, 20 inpatients with hemiplegia after stroke accepted Tuina on bilateral rectus femoris by the same therapist, with the techniques of rolling, patting, rubbing, shaking, kneading and pressing, one minute a manipulation and interval one minute. Integrated electromyography (iEMG), root mean square (RMS) and median frequency (MF) of sEMG were compared, both in rest and during Tuina. Results There was no significant difference of iEMG, RMS and MF between affected and unaffected sides in rest (t<1.147, P>0.05). iEMG and RMS were the most under patting (F>21.376, P<0.001), and MF was the highest under pressing (F>11.772, P<0.001). iEMG, RMS and MF were not very different under other manipulation (P>0.05). iEMG and RMS were less in the affected side than in the unaffected side under patting (P<0.05). Conclusion Various manipulation of Tuina may be different in neuromuscular stimulation, that patting may stimulate more muscles and motor units.

Objective:To investigate the current status of the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) nursing knowledge-attitude-practice of newly recruited nurses in TCM hospitals, so as to provide evidence for improving the standardized training of TCM nursing among newly-recruited nurses. Methods:From March to April in 2020, a total of 800 newly-recruited nurses from 6 TCM hospitals above the municipal level in Hunan Province were selected as research objects by convenient sampling method. The investigation was conducted by TCM Nursing Knowledge-Attitude-Practice Questionnaire. A total of 800 questionnaires were distributed and 768 valid questionnaires were collected, with an effective recovery rate of 96%.Results:The total score of the Knowledge-Attitude-Practice Questionnaire of the newly recruited nurses of the TCM hospital was (191.61±41.80) ; the scores of knowledge and attitude dimension were (73.93±17.21) and (78.17±15.81) , at a middle level; the score of practice dimension was (39.51±8.78) , at a low level. There were significant differences in the total score of the questionnaire among the new nurses with different hospital levels, working years, whether they graduated from a college of TCM and whether they had received the training of TCM nursing knowledge-attitude-practice ( P<0.01) . Conclusions:The newly recruited nurses in TCM hospitals have a high level of TCM nursing knowledge and a positive attitude towards TCM nursing. However, in clinical work, TCM nursing has poor application ability and insufficient use of clinical skills. In-depth study of TCM nursing knowledge should be strengthened, focusing on the cultivation of TCM nursing thinking. It is also important to improve laws, regulations and related rules, and to conduct training according to the different characteristics of new nurses.

Objective:To investigate the incidence of thyroid dysfunction in patients with chronic kidney disease and analyze the influencing factors. Methods:One hundred and ninety-eight patients with chronic kidney disease who were treated in Chronic Disease Management Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Apr. 2021 to Apr. 2022 were selected, including 71 patients with abnormal thyroid function and 127 patients with normal thyroid function. The differences in TT3, FT3, TT4, FT4, and TSH between patients with abnormal thyroid function and those with normal thyroid function were analyzed. At the same time, the abnormal thyroid function of patients with different clinical characteristics and the influencing factors were analyzed. The intergroup differences were analyzed using t-test or χ2-test, and the influencing factors were analyzed using logistic regression analysis. Results:In one hundred and ninety-eight patients with chronic kidney disease, thyroid function abnormality occurred in 71 patients (35.86%), including two or more abnormal thyroid function indicators in 35 patients (49.30%). The total triiodothyronine (TT3), free triiodothyronine (FT3), total thyroxine (TT4) and free thyroxine (FT4) in patients with abnormal thyroid function were (1.02 ± 0.29) nmol/mL, (3.03 ± 0.88) pmol/L, (77.93 ± 20.02) nmol/mL and (11.02 ± 1.95) pmol/L respectively, which was significantly lower in patients with normal thyroid function (1.32±0.25) nmol/mL, (4.20±0.92) pmol/L, (93.30±19.28) nmol/mL and (13.54±1.82) pmol/ ( P<0.05), while thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) was (3.14 ± 0.96) mIU/L, which was significantly higher than that in patients with normal thyroid function (1.84±0.89) mIU/L ( P<0.05). The incidence of thyroid dysfunction in female patients was 50.59% (43/85), It was significantly higher than 24.78% (28/113) of male patients (P <0.05) ; The incidence of thyroid dysfunction in patients aged 60 years was 49.55% (55/111), It was significantly higher than 18.39% (16/87) of the patients aged <60 years ( P<0.05) ; The incidence of thyroid dysfunction in patients with 1-year duration of disease was 71.43% (30/42), It was significantly higher than 25.28% (41/156) of patients with a course of disease <1 year ( P<0.05) ; The incidence of thyroid dysfunction in patients with clinical stage G 4 to 5 was 50.62% (41/81), It was significantly higher than 25.64% (30/117) of patients in G1~3 stages ( P<0.05) ; The incidence of thyroid dysfunction in patients with diabetes was 74.36% (29/39), This was significantly higher than 26.42% (42/159) in patients without diabetes mellitus ( P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that gender, age, course of disease and clinical stage were the influencing factors of thyroid dysfunction in patients with chronic kidney disease ( P<0.05) . Conclusion:A high proportion of patients with chronic kidney disease have abnormal thyroid function, which is affected by the patient's sex, age, course of disease and clinical stage, clinical attention should be paid to targeted intervention to prevent the incidence of thyroid dysfunction in chronic kidney disease population.

Objective To explore the experience and needs on clinical practice training for interventional therapy specialized nurses of Hu'nan Province, so as to provide a reference for reasonably setting up the training practical courses for interventional therapy specialized nurses and a basis for further perfecting the system of interventional therapy specialized nurses training. Methods From 10th June to August 6th 2017, the semi-structured in-depth interview was used to 14 nurses attending the training for interventional therapy specialized nurses of Hu'nan Province by purposive sampling. The results were analyzed and themes were refined with the Colaizzi seven-step analysis. Results A total of five themes were refined in training experiences including that the practical ability of interventional therapy was improved, the time of clinical practice was too short, clinical rotating department was arranged unreasonably, quality of clinical teachers was uneven, the forms of clinical practice assessment needed to be standardized. Conclusions Interventional therapy specialized nurses training can improve trainees' quality of clinical practice. However, course offered should be adjusted based on trainees' actual situation and the model of interventional therapy specialized nurses training should be perfected so as to improve training effects.
