1.Establishment and evaluation of a method for determination of total arsenic in urine by test-tube rapid digestion hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry

Objective To establish and evaluate a method for determination of total arsenic in urine by test-tube rapid digestion hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry.Methods After digestion of urine samples using graduated test-tube and graphite digestion apparatus,arsenic content in urine was determined with atomic fluorescence spectrometer.Then the test results were evaluated by using quality control measures,such as precision and accuracy experiments,and the results between different laboratories were reviewed and compared.Results The urinary arsenic was in a linear range of 0-0.300 mg/L,correlation coefficient (r) > 0.999 3,detection limit was 0.000 21 mg/L,relative standard deviation (RSD) ≤4.62% and the recoveries of standard addition were 93.9%-104.3%.The value of standard reference material measured was within the allowable range.The blind sample of the national urinary arsenic was qualified.Conclusions This method is suitable for large scale determination of urinary arsenic for its micro sample amount needed,less interference and strong practicability.The error results are in a controlled range.
2.Salicylate-induced changes of synaptic ultrastructures in the rat auditory center: a pilot study

OBJECTIVE To observe the changes of synaptic ultrastructures in the rat auditory center after long-term salicylate administration and to elucidate the role of neuroplasticity in some areas of the CNS and its involvement in tinnitus. METHODS The rats were divided into 4 groups: the control group, the acute treatment group, the chronic treatment group, and the recovery group. We investigated ultrastructural alterations in the synapses of inferior colliculus (IC), auditory center (AC) and cerebellum (CRB) by transmission electron microscopy. RESULTS There were more synaptic vesicles (tIC=-4. 61, tAC=-7. 00, P<0. 01), with greater postsynaptic densities(tIC=-4. 72,P<0. 01; tAc=-3. 15, P<0. 05), longer synaptic active zone (tIC=-4. 89, tAC=-3. 48, P< 0. 01), and increased synaptic interface curvature (tIC=-2. 32, tAC=-3. 17, P<0. 05) in the chronic treatment group, as compared with the control group. There were more synaptic vesicles but no other changes in the acute salicylate-treatment group(tIC=-10. 57, tAC=-8. 34, tCRB=-9. 18,P <0. 01). CONCLUSION These findings showed that long-term salicylate administration have induced synaptic ultrastructural changes in the IC and AC because of neuroplasticity. These structural changes may result in increased speed and efficacy of chemical synaptic transmission. Alterations to neuroplasticity of the auditory center pathway may lead to tinnitus.
3.Application of combined detection of PCT ,hs-CRP ,IL-6 and WBC in diagnosing type 2 diabetes mellitus bloodstream infection

Objective To investigate the application value of single detection and combined detection of 4 kinds of inflammatory indicators of procalcitonin (PCT ) ,high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) ,interleu-kin-6(IL-6) and white blood cell(WBC) in diagnosing type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) bloodstream by analy-zing the levels of peripheral blood PCT ,hs-CRP ,IL-6 and WBC in the T2DM bloodstream infection group and T2DM non-bloodstream infection group .Methods The clinical data in 85 patients with T2DM bloodstream in-fection (T2DM bloodstream infection group ) and contemporaneous 80 cases of T2DM non-bloodstream infec-tion(T2DM non-bloodstream infection group) in this hospital from January 2013 to July 2016 were retrospec-tively analyzed .The levels of various inflammatory indicators in peripheral blood were analyzed .The receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve of various inflammatory indicators was drawn ,the area under the curve (AUC) and the best cut-off value were calculated .The detection schemes included 24 kinds of schemes such as the single indicator ,2-indicator ,3-indicator and 4-indicator .Results The levels of PCT ,hs-CRP ,IL-6 and WBC in the T2DM bloodstream infection group were significantly higher than those in the T 2DM non-blood-stream infection group ,the difference was statistically significant (P<0 .05) .AUC of PCT ,hs-CRP ,IL-6 and WBC were 0 .909 ,0 .818 ,0 .838 and 0 .760 respectively ,with best cut-off values of 0 .493 ng/mL ,11 .19 ng/mL ,40 .95 pg/mL and 11 .87 × 109/L respectively .The Youden index of PCT was highest (0 .65) and the ac-curacy of IL-6 was highest (83 .33% ) in the single indicator detection scheme .The Youden index and accuracy of the scheme of PCT/hs-CRP and PCT+hs-CRP+IL-6 were highest in the combined detection scheme .Con-clusion PCT detection has the prominent value in the assisted diagnosis of T 2DM bloodstream infection .Inthe combined detection scheme ,PCT/hs-CRP and PCT+hs-CRP+IL-6 have the highest value in the assisted diagnosis in T2DM bloodstream infection .
4.Effects of Salicylate Administration on Metabolic Activity in the Rat Auditory Center

Objective To investigate the neural activity in the central auditory pathway by using a tinnitus an-imal model .Methods Twenty -four rats were randomly divided into the control ,acute salicylate treatment ,chronic salicylate treatment ,and recovery groups .The gap prepulse inhibition of acoustic startle test was used to confirm tinnitus -like behavior .After delivery of an intravenous bolus of fluorine -18 fluorodeoxyglucose (18F -FDG ) , small animal positron emission tomography scans were performed on rats .Results Only rats in chronic salicylate -treatment group showed evidence of experiencing tinnitus .The SUV ratios of the AC were significantly greater in the acute salicylate treatment group than in the control group (P<0 .01) ,suggesting relatively increased metabolism in the two brain regions of the rats in this group .The SUV ratios of the IC and AC (P<0 .01) ,but not of the CRB (P>0 .05) were greater in the chronic salicylate treatment group than in the control groups .There was a significant difference in whole brain SUVs between the control and acute salicylate treatment groups (P<0 .01) ,the whole brain SUVs in chronic salicylate treatment group were a little higher but showed no significant difference (P>0 .05) .There was no significant difference in the SUVs between the control and recovery groups (P>0 .05) .Conclu-sion These findings indicate that long -term salicylate administration induced tinnitus in rats and may have en-hanced neural activity corresponded to the up -regulated metabolic rate in our study .Alterations to neuroplasticity of the CNS may lead to tinnitus .

's acupuncture school in Gansu,represented byand,is of great influence in China.'s acupuncture school originated from(Inner Canon of Yellow Emperor) and(Classic of Questioning),and shaped aroundDynasty andDynasty. Professorhas formed a unique "'s acupuncture" diagnosis and treatment system by inheritance and innovation. He clinically paid attention to basic training,obtainingand keeping spirit,as well as syndrome differentiation,reinforcing and reducing. Also,he took the priority the pressing hand with bilaterally needle manipulation. Besides,he thought important simplicity,innovation and acupoints selecting according to time. We inherited's acupuncture from his family,teachers'techniques,international communication,college and university education and scientific research. In this article we prescribe the development,the inheritance and the protection measures of's acupuncture school in terms of its origination,academic thought,and inheritance research,etc.,so as to provide references for further study and inheritance.
