1.Preoperative Findings of Cardiac Carcinoma of Stomach Using B-mode Ultrasonography

Fourty cases of pathologically proved cardiac carcinoma of the stomach were examined with ultrasonography before operattion. The echographic findings were the metastatic lymph nodes around the gastric left artery, the involving degree of gastric wall and the size of the tumor. These findings were of important in estimating the operability of the tumor. The following features appeared such as: (1) the enlarged lymph nodes around the gastric left artery, the tumor mass and the pancrease fused belong together; (2) although no enlarged lymph node was demonstrated, but the sea gull's sign was absent or deformity and (3) the peripheral vessels were involved, then the radical therapy was impossible.
5.Hepatic integrated backscatter in healthy rabbits

Objective To measure hepatic ultrasonic integrated backscatter (IBS) in healthy rabbits as a non-invasive quantitative diagnostic means for hepatic steatosis, hepatic fibrosis, and liver cirrhosis; to determine the factors that may influence the IBS measurement. Methods Thirty-five healthy New Zealand white rabbits with normal liver function tests and normal liver biopsies were used in this study. HP Sonos 5500 image system with quantitative analysis function was used for IBS measurement. With the machine setting fixed, and optimal image obtained, left and right liver were divided into near, medial and far areas according to the depth. Further the measurements of IBS in different depth were performed respectively. Meanwhile, in the same liver the IBS image was collected and the change of IBS intensity was measured in various setting of machine index (MI), time gain compensation (TGC) and lateral gain compensation (LGC). Results Average image intensity (AII) of left liver (from near to far areas) was ( 25.38? 2.36)dB, ( 26.32? 2.38)dB, and ( 26.45? 2.28)dB, respectively. The AII of the right liver (from near to far areas) was ( 24.99? 2.23)dB, ( 24.92? 2.59)dB, and ( 25.38? 2.36)dB, respectively. 6.The relationship between cerebral artery stenosis and carotid artery elasticity in the ischemia stroke patients by echo-tracking technique

Objective To study the relationship between the cerebral artery stenosis and the carotid artery elasticity in the ischemia stroke patients by echo-tracking technique.Methods Ninety-two ischemia stroke patients were divided into both the mild cerebral arteries stenosis and moderate-severe cerebral arteries stenosis groups.CT angiography was performed to evaluate the stenosis of cerebral artery.The changes of the carotid diameter during cardiac cycles were obtained by echo-tracking technique and the quantitative parameters of pressure-strain elastic modulus (Ep),stiffness (β) and arterial compliance (AC) were calculated automatically. Results①There were significant differences (P<0.05) between the ischemia stroke patient group and the normal adults group in β,Ep and AC.② There were significant differences (P<0.05) between the mild cerebral arteries stenosis groups and the moderate-severe cerebral arteries stenosis groups in β and Ep.AC was lower in patients with the mild cerebral arteries stenosis groups than that in the moderate-severe cerebral arteries stenosis groups.Conclusions The carotid artery elasticity in ischemia stroke patients were significantly different from normal adults.In the ischemia stroke patients,the stiffer the carotid artery was,the higher the likelihood of moderate-severe cerebral stenosis was.
7.Application of time intensity curve of contrast enhanced ultrasound in the discrimination of benign and malignant soft tissue tumors

Objective To study the value of time intensity curve of contrast enhanced ultrasound in the discrimination of benign and malignant soft tissue tumors. Methods Thirty-seven cases of soft tissue tumors were carried out contrast-enhanced ultrasound examination. The region of interest in the dynamic images were chosen to carry out Gamma-Variate curve fitting through Q-LAB software and made a quantitative analysis. Then they were compared with pathological diagnosis to analyze the ultrasound imaging performance of benign and malignant tumors and their characteristics of micro-irrigation. Results Thirty-seven cases of soft tissue tumors were pathologically diagnosed 21 cases of benign and malignant in 16 cases. The perfusion of benign tumors were mainly uniformity (19/21) or potentialization (2/21). The perfusion of malignant tumors were mainly uniformity (10/16) or nonuniformity (6/16). There were no significant differences in time to peak(TTP) and arrival time of contrast agent(AT) between benign and malignant tumors( P >0.05). The upslope rate(A) and the derived peak intensity(DPI) in benign group were significantly less than malignant group ( P <0.05). Conclusions Time-intensity curve analysis of contrast-enhanced ultrasound showed that benign and malignant soft tissue tumors were different in perfusion,and it will be of a certain value for the clinical differential diagnosis.
8.Analysis of ultrasonic diagnosis of appendiceal mucinous neoplasms in elderly patients

Objective To the value of ultrasonic imaging in diagnosis of appendiceal mucinous neoplasms in patients.Methods A retrospective review was performed for the 26 cases undergoing pre-operative ultrasonography and finally diagnosed as appendiceal mucinous neoplasms by pathology.The 26 patients were included in the study,11 elderly patients aged ≥60 years as group A,and 15 younger patients aged < 60 years as group B.The characteristics of the ultrasonic imaging were analyzed.Results Features of ultrasound images leading to diagnosis were summarized as following.The lesion transverse diameter was over 2 cm,with anechoic or hypoechoic area of lesion or onion skin sign inside the lesions.There were distinct borderlines between lesions and surrounding tissues,with no or little blood in the color doppler flow imaging.Conclusions There are same u1trasonography characteristics of appendiceal mucinous neoplasms in two age groups.Improving the knowledge of this disease and grasping the clinical and sonography characteristics are stringent to enhance the accuracy rate of diagnosis.
9.Study of the patterns of cancer nurse specialist training

Objective To summarize theskill practice as the coremethods and training effect in tumor specialist nurse training , and to explore the suitable effective methods and pattern of China′s national conditions of specialist nurse training in China, for providing a reference for conducting cancer specialist nurse training. Methods Reviewed and analyzed tumor specialist nurse training method to make clear the training effect from 2012 to 2013, 100 students was investigated by using questionnaires , which contain 15 aspects, before and after the training respectively. designskill practice as the coreof the training content (160 hours) and theoretical classes (80 hours), established training evaluation criteria and the organization management system. Results All 100 students had grasped maintenance technology, observation of the complications of treatment, infusion port of the maintenance, the use of chemotherapy drugs, health education for patients with PICC catheter, and the use of effective order, the grasp rate was 100%. Complications rate was decreased significantly after using PICC catheter, (the rate of catheter related blood stream infections and the rate of thrombosis was reduced from the top 35%and 12%before training to 4%and 1%after training respectively (P<0.05). Conclusions In order to train more practical clinical nurse specialists, reduce the complications, raise the overall level of nursing profession, and improve the quality of nursing after using PICC catheter. Skill practice as the core methods in tumor specialist nurse training should be advocated.
10.Exogenous VEGF165 regulates skeletal myoblasts transplantation induced Th17/Treg imbalance

Objective To investigate whether Th17/Treg imbalance existed,and whether VEGF165 attenuated the imbalance in allogeneic skeletal myoblasts transplantation(allo-SMT) for acute myocardial infarction (AMI).Methods There were 60 C57BL/6 male mice,3 to 4 weeks old,weighting 0.016-0.020 kg.On the day 1,2,4,and 7 after allo-SMT,the percentages of Th17 and Treg cells,and the ratios of Th17/Treg cells were analyzed by FCM in AMI group,AMI-S group(alloSMT) and AMI-Ⅴ group(with VEGF165 treatment).Subsequently,related proinflammatory and regulatory cytokines and key transcription factors ROR-γt mRNA and Foxp3 mRNA expression were examined by Bio-plex and RT-PCR respectively.Results On the day 1,2,4,and 7 after allo-SMT,the percentage of Treg,related cytokines concentrations and transcript factor Foxp3 mRNA in AMI-S group were lower than those in AMI group,while the AMI-Ⅴ group were higher than those in AMI groups.However,the percentage of Th17 cells,related cytokines concentrations,and ROR-γt mRNA in AMI-S group were higher than those in AMI group; but the AMI-Ⅴ group were lower than those in AMI group.Apparently,compared with AMI group,the ratios of Th17/Treg significantly ascended in AMI-S group and decended in AMI-Ⅴ group.Conclusion Th17/Treg imbalance participated in the formation and development of inflammation and immune response after allo-SMT.However,transfected VEGF165 could relieve the severity of Th17/Treg imbalance.
