In order to meet the requirements of ultrasound bone density measurement, we designed a sofware based on Visual Studio C+ + 2008. The software includes interface design, acquisition and control, data processing and parameter extraction, data storage and printing. Excellent human-computer interface (HCI) will give users a convenient experience. Auto gain control (AGC) and digital filter can improve the precision effectively. In addition, we can observe waveform clearly in real time. By using USB communication, we can send control commands to the acquisition and get data effectively, which can shorten the measuring time. Then we calculated the speed of sound (SOS) and broadband ultrasound attenuation (BUA). Patients' information can be accessed by using XML document. Finally, the software offers printing function.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the therapeutic mechanism of tetromethylpyrazine and aminoguanidine on diabetic nephropathy. METHODS: Diabetic rats were induced by streptozotocin. They were divided into 5 groups: normal control group (group C), untreated diabetic group (group DM), tetromethylpyrazine treated group (group TMP), aminoguanidine treated group (group AG) and tetromethylpyrazine and aminoguanidine treated group (group TMP+AG). The expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in renal cortex of the rats in each group was observed by immunohistochemical staining after 12 weeks. RESULTS: The expression of VEGF in renal cortex of the rats in group TMP+AG and group C was alike. The expression of VEGF in renal cortex of group TMP and group AG decreased significantly as compared with that of group C, but was still above normal level. CONCLUSION: The therapeutic mechanism of tetromethylpyrazine and aminoguanidine on diabetic nephropathy may be inhibiting the over-expression of VEGF in kidney of diabetic rats.

Objective To observe the effect of continual rehabilitation on hemiplegic patients with stroke in the internal carotid artery system. Methods 60 hemiplegic cases with stroke in the internal carotid artery system were randomly divided into the continual rehabilitation group and early rehabilitationl group with 30 cases in each group. The patients in the continual rehabilitation group received continual rehabilitation besides the early rehabilitation in the rehabilitation unit or in the community with rehabilitation facities. The patients in the early rehabilitation group just received the early rehabilitation in the rehabilitation unit and then returned home with the guides from the doctors. Results The motor function and activities of daily living of the patients in the continual rehabilitation group were significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion The continual rehabilitation can keep the continuity in rehabilitation, and is benefit to limb function and the activities of daily life of hemiplegic patients.
