Atherosclerosis (AS) is a common underlying disease that hazard to human health. It is closely associated with stroke, hypertension, coronary artery disease, and diabetes.AS on the premise of vascular intimnal injury, excessive smooth muscle cell proliferation, inflammatory cell infiltration, oxidative stress, apoptosis and other mschanisms participate together. In eucaryotic organisms, most proteins are degraded by ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS).An increasing number of evidence indicates that UPS is associated with the occurrenee and development of AS and complications. This article reviews the relationship between.UPS and AS,as well as the effect of ubiquitin-proteasome inhibitor on AS.

Objective To evaluate the effect of a new type of fixation tape for tracheal catheter in intensive care patients. Methods A purposive sampling study was conducted. Ninety patients experienced oral tracheal intubation for mechanical ventilation, and admitted to respiratory intensive care unit (ICU) of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University from November 2015 to February 2017 were enrolled. All the patients were randomly (random number) divided into the control group and the observation group with 45 patients in each group. The patients in control group was treated with the traditional medical adhesive tape and fixation belt to fix endotracheal tube, while the patients in observation group was treated with a new type of tracheal catheter fixation tape. The fixation effect, skin complication rate, patient's comfort level, nursing workload and satisfaction were evaluated in both groups. Results There were 6 patients with mild displacement, 2 patients with moderate displacement and 1 patient with severe displacement in the control group, while there was no catheter displacement or detachment occurred in the observation group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (χ2 = 2.944,P = 0.003). In the control group, there were 39 patients with facial skin redness,6 patients with facial skin damage, 36 patients with neck skin redness, and 2 patients with neck skin damage. In the observation group, there were no facial skin complications and only 2 patients with neck skin redness, and the skin complication rate was significantly higher than that of the control group (facial skin:Z = 9.173,P = 0.000; neck skin:Z = 7.549,P = 0.000). Compared with the control group, the patients' comfort levels were significantly elevated in the observation group (the intolerance patients: 9 vs. 24, the extreme discomfort patients: 4 vs. 8,Z = 3.695,P = 0.000). The total changing times of the fixation belt and operating time for each change in the observation group were significantly decreased as compared with those of control group [changing times of the fixation belt (times): 1.89±0.77 vs. 3.86±1.18, operating time for each change (minutes): 10.31±1.47 vs. 15.78±1.89, bothP < 0.01]. Nursing satisfaction in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (100% vs. 33.3%,P < 0.01).Conclusions The new fixation tape for tracheal catheter could significantly reduce the catheter displacement and detachment rate, and decreasethe incidence of facial skin injury. It is easy to learn and worth to generalize clinically.

AIM To develop a UPLC-MS/MS method for the simultaneous content determination of adenosine, salidroside, chlorogenic acid,calycosin-7-O-β-D-glycoside,specnuezhenide,calycosin,formononetin,quercetin,apigenin and astragaloside Ⅳ in Zhenqi Fuzheng Capsules (Ligustri lucidi Fructus and Astragali Radix).METHODS The analysis of methanol extract of this drug was performed on a 40 ℃ thermostatic Inertsutain C18 column (75 mm × 3.0 mm,2 μm),with the mobile phase comprising of methanol-acetonitrile-4 mmol/L ammonium acetate flowing at 0.5 mL/min in a gradient elution manner.RESULTS Ten constituents showed good linear relationships within their own ranges (r≥0.996 0),whose average recoveries were 95.1%-104.3% with the RSDs of less than 4.20%.CONCLUSION This sensitive and specific method can be used for the rapid quality control of Zhenqi Fuzheng Capsules.

Objective To develop a new high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC ) coupled with Evaporative Light Scattering Detector (ELSD) method for simultaneous determination of two indicative components (peimine and peimi-nine) in Xiaoer Baotaikang granules .Methods The analysis was performed on a Thermo C18 column (250 mm × 4 .6 mm , 5 μm) by using a mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-water and diethylamine (65 ∶ 35 ∶ 0 .03) ,and the flow rate was 1 .0 ml/min;ELSD parameters :the temperature of drift tube was 85 ℃ and the carrier gas flow rate was 2 .2 L/min .Results The linear ranges of peimine and peiminine were 0 .586~5 .860 μg (r=0 .999 6) and 0 .564~5 .640 μg (r=0 .999 9) ,respec-tively .The average recovery rate for peimine and peiminine was 99 .44% (RSD was 0 .7% ) and 98 .56% (RSD was 1 .0% ) , respectively .Conclusions The method is sample ,accurate and reproducible ,which could be used for the quality control of Xiao-er Bao taikang g ranules .

ObjectiveTo understand the use of antibiotics in inpatients and the incidence and trend of hospital infections, to explore the implementation effect of comprehensive management measures, and to provide reference for hospitals to use antibiotics reasonably. MethodsBased on the hospital infection monitoring and management system, a retrospective analysis and comparison were conducted on the use of antibiotics, submission of microbial test samples, and incidence of hospital infections among inpatients in a tertiary hospital from 2012 to 2021. ResultsFrom 2012 to 2021, the use of antibiotics showed a downward trend, from 50.82% in 2012 to 41.29% in 2021. At the same time, the use rate of restricted and special antibiotics had also decreased, and the use rate of restricted and special antibiotics in patients without hospital infection was significantly lower than that in patients with hospital infection, and the microbial testing rate was also on the rise. The annual incidence rate of hospital infection was 0.69%‒1.92%, and the annual case-time prevalence rate was 0.79%‒2.17%. The annual average rate of the above two in 10 years was 1.18% and 1.34%, respectively. The results of the exponential smoothing model also showed that the utilization rate of antibiotics was decreasing and the incidence of nosocomial infection was stable. ConclusionLarge general hospitals took comprehensive management measures to strengthen the management of rational use of antibiotics, which led to a decline in the use rate of antibacterial drugs for inpatients and an increase in the rate of microbial examination. At the same time, the overall incidence of hospital infection was relatively stable, suggesting that the comprehensive management measures of antibacterial drugs in hospitals had achieved certain results. The current measures need to be optimized in the future to continuously improve the management level of rational use of antibacterial drugs.
