Objective To explore the roles of IκBα and TGF-β1 on airway inflammation in rats with chronic bronchitis induced by smoking and study the effects and mechanism of anti-inflammation of pretreatment with ambroxol. Methods Sixty male wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups: Normal dosage group, model group, high dosage group and low dosage group. The rats with chronic bronchitis were established by smoking. For high and low dosage group, rats were pretreated respectively with ambroxol group, rats were pretreated with normal saline through peritoneal injection as much as the low dosage group. After 76 days, the histopathologic changes stained in hemotoxylin and eosin (H. E.) of bronchopulmonary tissues were observed under opticalmicroscope, white cell counts and differential analysis were performed in BALF, the expression of IκBα and TGF-β1 were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results The pathological changes of model group were in consistent with that of chronic bronchitis, but the degrees were significantly reduced in high and low dosage groups. Compared with those in normal group, the white cell count and the neutrophilic granulocyte count of BALF in model group were significantly increased and the macrophagocyte count decreased, and the expression of IκBαwas significantly decreased(t =3.24,3.31,3.29,3.48, P <0. 05) and the TGF-β1 significantly increased (P <0. 05). Compared with those in the model group, the white cell count and the neutrophilic granulocyte count of BALF in high and low dosage group were significantly decreased and the macrophagocyte count increased, the expression of IκBαwas significantly increased (t =2. 86,2. 97,2. 92,3.52,2.42,2. 88,2. 58,3.48, P <0. 05) and the TGF-β1 significantly decreased (P <0. 05) . Compared with those in low dosage group, the expression of TGF-β1 was decreased and the expression of IκBαincreased in high dosage group (t =2. 82,3.64, P <0. 05). Conclusions Down-regulating the expression of IκBα and up-regulating of TGF-β1 may be involved in the process of airway inflammation in rats with chronic bronchitis induced by smoking. Ambroxol might have better effects on ameliorating airway inflammation by up-regulating the expression of IκBα and down-regulating of TGF-β1.

Objective To investigate the origin of prostatic blood-supply by digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and provide references for the arterial embolization of prostatic hyperplasia. Methods A total of 72 male patients with successful selective and super-selective prostatic arterial catheterization angiographies were observed and recorded the original arterial blood-supply of the prostate, number of the prostatic arteries and the predominant blood supply. Results The blood-supply of prostate is very complicated including the original prostatic arterial supply from the inferior vesicle arteries (69); the internal iliac arteries (63); the internal pudendal arteries (52); the inferior rectum arteries (29); the superior vesicle arteries (14). The predominant arterial supply include the internal iliac arteries (37); the inferior vesicle arteries (20); the internal pudendal arteries (6) and the inferior rectum arteries (2). Conclusion Arterial contrast medium angiography can correctly demonstrate and assess the original arterial supply of prostate, providing significant guidance for further interventional embolization.

This study reported the analysis of plasma phospholipid metabolism of the rats and the pathological biomarkers between the type 2 diabetes model control group (MC) and the normal control group (NC). SD rats were randomly divided into 2 groups: NC and MC. To investigate state of plasma metabolite profiling in normal body, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) model group using UPLC-Q-TOF/MS which was used as analysis tool in this research. The compounds were identified by UPLC-Q-TOF/MS based on MS/MS fragment ions information, element composition in MassLynx 4.1 and the Lipid Maps database. The sign of two groups of samples in specific markers for screening was through a software package in R software (BioMark software). The results show that the pathological markers were mainly phosphatidylcholine (PC) and triglycerides (TG); the 2-acyl PC in the MC group was less more obviously than that in the NC group; high carbon number and high degree of unsaturation of the TG was reduced under the condition of type 2 diabetes. In the state of type 2 diabetes, metabolic changes occurred in rat plasma phospholipids obviously, which had a close relationship with the occurrence and development of T2DM.

BACKGROUND:Chroming can improve the corrosion resistance of soft magnetic aloys. OBJECTIVE:To identify the optimal chroming conditions of two soft magnetic aloys, Fe-Cr-Mo and Fe-Ni, so as to improve their corrosion resistance. METHODS:Twelve pieces of square-shaped Fe-Cr-Mo and Fe-Ni soft magnetic aloys were casted in the size of 20 mm×20 mm×2 mm. After sanding and polishing, chrome plating was performed on these specimens and the coating thickness and hardness were measured. The selection factors included electroplate type (hexavalent chromium and trivalent chromium), current density (15, 20, 25, 35, 40, 45 A/dm2) and electroplating time (30, 40, 60 minutes). The optimal chroming conditions were determined by one-factor experimental method and the chrome plating was observed under a scanning electron microscope. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Cr6+ coating was significantly better than Cr3+ coating in the aspects of hardness, thickness and uniformity, indicating Cr6+ coating can significantly improve the corrosion resistance of Fe-Cr-Mo and Fe-Ni aloys. For Fe-Cr-Mo soft magnetic aloy, the optimal conditions of Cr6+ coating were as folows: current density of 45 A/dm2 and electroplating time of 60 minutes; the optimal conditions of Cr3+ coating were as folows: current density of 20 A/dm2 and electroplating time of 30 minutes. For Fe-Ni soft magnetic aloys, the optimal conditions of Cr6+ coating were as folows: current density of 35 A/dm2 and electroplating time of 60 minutes; the optimal conditions of Cr3+ coating were as folows: current density of 20 A/dm2 and electroplating time of 40 minutes.
