A novel electrochemiluminescence ( ECL) method for the determination of L-cysteine ( L-Cys) was established. water-soluble CdS quantum dots ( QDs) with Cd2+rich surface were synthesized via a controllable one-poe approach. The mercapto group in L-cysteine molecule can specifically interact with excessive Cd2+on the surface of CdS QDs, resulting in enhancement of ECL intensity of the CdS QDs, which can be used for the detection of L-Cys. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the enhancement of ECL intensity was linear with the concentration of L-Cys in the range of 5. 0×10-9-1. 0×10-5 mol/L. The limit detection of (S/N=3) was 1. 2×10-9 mol/L. In comparison with other methods for detecting L-Cys, this method is more simple and selective, and can be applied to detect L-Cys in real sample with satisfactory results.

Objective To observe the histological effect of acellular dermal matrix(ADM)on insufficiency in guide keratinized tissue regeneration. Methods 6 cases of single anterior tooth implantation in the hospital in 2016 were included in the study. 3 cases were treated with immediate tooth extraction and implantation. Bone substitution materials were grafted in the space between the tooth extraction socket and the implants. The keratin-ized tissue dehiscence was covered by double layers of acellular dermal matrix membrane(Heal-All?,ZH-BIO, China),which was fixed to the adjacent soft tissue by suturing. Another 3 cases were routinely treated with delayed implantation of single anterior tooth. All the cases were subject to harvesting of the cover soft tissues of implants with a punch 4 months later. The new grown soft tissues were histologically observed. Results All cases were sur-vived. The new grown keratinized tissues were observed. Conclusion Acellular dermal matrix can guide the aug-mentation of keratinized tissues.

BACKGROUND:Proximal humeral internal locking system fixation for complex humeral fractures via deltoid splitting approach provides good clinical results, but certain complications stil existed.
OBJECTIVE:To explore the postoperative complications and the related risk factors for displaced three-part and four-part fractures of proximal humerus treated with proximal humeral internal locking system fixation via deltoid-splitting approach, and to propose the corresponding countermeasures.
METHODS:106 cases with displaced three-part and four-part fractures of proximal humerus were retrospectively analyzed. The relationship between postoperative complications and the related risk factors was analyzed with Logistic regression analysis.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:A total of 81 patients were fol owed-up for 12 to 30 months. The mean Constant score at 12 months after operation was (76.57±4.70) points. The postoperative complications occurred in 31 patients (38.3%) of which impingement syndrome involved in 16 cases (19.8%), head-shaft angle loss in six cases (7.4%), head-shaft angle loss combined with screws cut-out in two cases (2.5%), pure screws cut-out in two cases (2.5%), humeral head necrosis in two cases (2.5%), fat liquefaction in five cases (6.2%). Single factor analysis showed that there were significant differences in the superiorly located greater tuberosity, superiorly located plate and Neer classification between impingement group and un-impinged group (P<0.05). There were statistical y significant differences in age, postoperative medial cortical defects and Neer classification between head-shaft angle loss group and un-loss group (P<0.05). By means of logistic regression analysis, the superiorly located greater tuberosity, superiorly located plate and Neer classification were the individual predictors for postoperative impingement syndrome;postoperative medial cortical defect and Neer classification were the individual predictors for postoperative head-shaft angle loss.

AIM: To investigate the effect of retinoic acid on proliferation of renal interstitial myofibroblasts in a rat model of the left unilateral ureteal obstruction (UUO). METHODS: UUO model was established by unilateral ligation of ureter in 36 SD rats. Rats were divided into 2 groups: Retinoic acid-treated group and control group, each with 18 rats. UUO rats were treated with either daily subcutaneous injection of 10 mg/kg body weight of all trans-retinoic acid or vehicle alone two days before the operation until being sacrificed. Groups of 6 rats were killed on day 3, 7 and 12 after ligation of the left ureter. The percentage of renal tubular lesion, interstitial fibrosis score, the number of interstitial myofibroblasts, the number of proliferating myofibroblasts and the expression of TGF?-1 mRNA were determined. RESULTS: There were significant accumulation and local proliferation of myofibroblasts in the interstitium of the UUO rats. On day 7 of the UUO model, the percentage of tubular lesions and interstitial fibrosis score were significantly lower in the retinoic acid-treated group than those in control group [(15.9?2.0)% vs (27.3?2.2)% and (0.47?0.12) vs (1.65?0.18), P
