1.Analysis of prescriptions for anti-infectious agents for tumor patients
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1996;0(05):-
Objective To find out about the use of anti-infectious agents by tumor outpatients of the hospital. Methods A survey was conducted on 1 011 prescriptions for anti-infectious agents written out in the hospital from October to December of 2003 and an analysis was made of the structure and rationality of their use by means of drug utilization studies. Results The utilization rate of anti-infectious agents was 8.35% , accounting for 1.09% of the total sum of money for the prescriptions. The kinds of anti-infectious agents used were mostly cephalosporins and quinolones. The utilization rate of agents of compatibility was 4.44%. The drug utilization index of some chemicals was close to 1.00, accounting for about 44.44% . Conclusion There is no widespread abuse of anti-infectious agents by the outpatients of the hospital and the utilization rates of anti-infectious agents and agents of compatibility are low. Still, there are some problems in the use and compatibility of certain agents and the rationality of their use is to be questioned. The use of anti-infectious agents should be planned in a scientific way and in line with the economic condition of the patients.
2.Molecular Mechanism of Asthma Induced by Indoor Air Pollutants
Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(01):-
During the last decade a lot of new learning about asthma was arisen along with the development of modern immunology and molecular biology, and asthma had been one hotspot in the studies of molecular biological and administer medical field. One of the new viewpoints was that airway neurogenic inflammation took important role in asthma development. For years scholars had suspected that airborne pollutants had an synergistic effect on the attack of asthma and could cause asthma attack, but they did not know the molecular mechanism. In 1991 Denish scholar Nielsen GD advanced a new hypothesis that airway irritation was mediated by capsaicin receptor. The pathological process included a molecular chain of message transfer as air pollutants_capsaicin receptor_Ca2+_substance P_neurokinin receptor.Airway neurogenic inflammation was the result of activation of the receptors. In 1997 American scholar Caterina MJ and his colleagues successfully obtained the cloned capsaicin receptor in expressing cells, this will make Nielsen GD's hypothesis living.
3.Survey and analysis of nutrient support drug utilization in cancer patients
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1996;0(09):-
Objective To find out nutrient support drug utilization in cancer patients in our hospital. Methods An analysis was made by means of drug utilization research into the structure and rationality of nutrient support drug utilization in our hospital through an investigation into the detailed records of the dispensary from 1999 to 2002 and into 1 014 medical records from 2002. Results The variety, quantity, and cost of nutrient support drug utilization in the four years rose respectively by 58.82%, 71.66% and 28.16%. 49.30% of the cancer patients whose medical records were surveyed used such drugs. The quantity and person time ratio of PN and EN drug utilization was respectively 14∶1 and 13∶1, with malnourished patients accounting for 19.80%. Of the PN drugs whose DDD value could be determined, most had a DUI value that was greater than 1 whereas most of the EN drugs had a DUI value which was smaller than 1. Conclusion The variety, quantity, and cost of nutrient support drug utilization in the four years rose rapidly. The quantity and person time of PN drug utilization were much higher than those of EN drug utilization. Doubts could be cast in the handling of indications for nutrient support drug utilization in some patients and the doses of some nutrient support drugs prescribed were not so rational. Further explorations need to be made into the rational application of nutrient support treatment.

Objective To observe levels of the serum albumin and their association with prognosis in children with hand-foot-and-mouth disease (HFMD) . Methods A total of 122 HFMD children admitted from 2011 to 2013 were selected and divided into three groups:common group (n=57), severe group (n=52) and critical group (n=13). Serum albumin levels, blood glucose levels, peripheral blood white cell counts of the children in the three groups were compared within 24 hours of admis-sion. Moreover, the incidence of hypoalbuminemia and mortality of the children were analyzed in each group. Results In critical group, serum albumin levels were signiifcantly decreased while blood glucose levels and peripheral blood white cell counts were signiifcantly increased than those in the severe group and common group, and the differences were all statistically signiifcant (all P<0.05). There were no signiifcant differences in serum albumin levels, blood glucose levels and peripheral blood white cell counts between severe group and common group (all P>0.05). There was no hypoalbuminemia and death in severe group and common group. The percentage of hypoalbuminemia and mortality of children in critical group were higher than those in the other two groups (all P<0.01). Conclusions The mortality was extremely high in children with critical HFMD. The decrease of serum albumin levels was a high risk factor for death in children with critical HFMD. Early and dynamic monitoring serum albu-min levels may be helpful in evaluation of disease condition and prognosis of HFMD.

Objective To detect the differences of triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 (TREM-1) and cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2) expressions in rectal cancer tissues and carcinoma adjacent tissues so as to explore the relationship between the two factors and clinical pathological characteristics and their effects on the patients` survival. Methods The expressions of TREM-1 and COX-2 were analyzed in 68 cases of rectal cancer tissues and 58 cases of carcinoma adjacent tissues with the method of immunohistochemical staining. We made a regular follow-up of the patients, analyzed the relationship between the two factors and prognosis of rectal cancer. Results The positive expression rates of TREM-1 and COX-2 in rectal cancer tissues were higher than those in carcinoma adjacent tissues (P<0.05).The expression of TREM-1 was related to lymph node metastasis, while COX-2 was related to pathological stage and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05).However, the two factors were not related to age, sex, histological differentiation or tumor size. The expressions of the two factors were positively correlated (r=0.550, P<0.001).The overall survival (OS) of TREM-1 and COX-2 positive expression groups was shorter than that of the negative groups (P<0.05).Cox multiple regression analysis showed that the expression of TREM-1, pathological stage, lymph node metastasis and tumor size affected the prognosis. Conclusion The expressions of COX-2 and TREM-1 in rectal cancer increase, suggesting that the two factors may promote the development and lymph node metastasis of rectal cancer, and the expressions of the two factors are related to the patients` poor prognosis.

Objective To study the mechanism of the protective effect of lycium barbarum polysaccharide on light aging resistance rats by using the metabolic profile and metabolic target analysis technique. Methods Ultraviolet irradiation induced Wistar rats were induced to produce skin photo aging model and 24 rats were randomly divided into three groups, including control goup, model group, Lycium barbarum polysaccharide group (LBP). After modeling for 24 hours, LBP group was conducted with Lycium barbarum polysaccharide solution of 10 mg/kg. Control group and model group were given same volume of stroke-physiological saline solution for 14 days. The biochemical indexes such as rat serum antioxidant activity of related substances and MDA were measured in model group and drug group; the urine metabolomics study was also investigated for the mechanism of lycium barbarum polysaccharide against light aging band. Results Compared with the model group, the LBP group rats total superoxide dismutase activity (301.51 ± 42.56 U/mgvs.93.41 ± 56.31 U/mg), hydroxyproline (8.91 ± 5.78μg/mgvs.4.74 ± 1.54μg/mg) content significantly increased (P<0.05), but the malondialdehyde (8.54 ± 6.41 nmol/mgvs.21.31 ± 6.58 nmol/mg) decreased without any statistics difference (P<0.05). The urine metabonomics results showed that LBP could regulate the skin photoaging of multiple metabolic pathways and key metabolic enzymes in the process, such as peanut four acid, tyrosine, taurine, citric acid and hippuric acid, L-cysteine, inositol, threonine etc. Conclusions In the process of skin photoaging in rats, multiple metabolic pathways in vivo were disordered, and Lycium barbarum polysaccharide could play a protective role by regulating the key metabolic enzymes in the network.

The Journal of Practical Medicine 2015;(19):3189-3192
Objective To examine the expressions of AQP1 and VEGF in human hepatitis B associated hepatocellular c arcinoma and to investigate its relationship with the occurrence and development of hepatocellularcarcinoma. Methods AQP1 and VEGF expressionsin the cancer tissues and AQP1 and VEGF levels in the serum were detected in 62 cases of hepatocellula carcinomaby immunohistochemistry and ELISA , respectively. Results The expressions of AQP1 and VEGF in the liver cancers were significantly higher than in the normal tissues (P<0.01). The higher expression was related to pathologic type, degrees of differentiation and lymph node metastasis, but not related to sex, age and TNM stages. In the serum of liver cancer, the concentrations of AQP1 and VEGF were significantly higher than those in the control group. Conclusion High expressions of AQP1 and VEGF in the patients with liver cancer may be correlated to the occurrence and development of liver cancer. Plasma levels ofAQP1 and VEGF may be more meaningful for the evaluation of clinical prognosis.
