2.The Role of Nitric Oxide in the Process of Implantation in Mice
Acta Medicinae Universitatis Scientiae et Technologiae Huazhong 2001;30(1):42-45
To evaluate the role of nitric oxide in the embryo implantation in mice, three experiments were carried out using the mice implantation model. In the experimentⅠand experimentⅡ, NG-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME), the non-specific NOS inhibitor, was administered intraperitoneally at doses of 0.5 mg-5 mg on the day 3 of pregnancy and at dose of 3 mg on different days of pregnancy (day 1-6) . In the experiment Ⅲ, L-aragnine, a donor of NO, was co-administered with L-NAME to evaluate the effect of L-aragnine on L-NAME, and the embryo development was assessed. In all these three experiments, the endometrium was histologically examined. Results showed compared with the control groups intraperitoneal administration of a dose of L-NAME between 1 and 5 mg on the day 3 of pregnancy led to the decrease in the number of implantation sites (P<0.05), and 4 to 5 mg of L-NAME caused inhibition of implantation completely. L-NAME resulted in failure of pregnancy when administrated at 3 mg between day 3 and 5 of pregnancy. The characteristic vascular permeability changes and decidualization in the endometrium were significantly attenuated and embryo growth was retarded. The L-NAME-mediated effects were significantly reversed when L-aragnine was co-administered with L-NAME. This study demonstrated that NO promoted the implantation in mice through regulating the permeability and decidulization of endometrium and the development of embryo.
3.Analysis on renving and cunkou pulse diagnostic methods in Internal Classic and Pulse Classic.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2015;35(5):493-496
Renying and cunkou pulse diagnostic methods have been recorded in Neijing Unternal Classic) and Maijing (Pulse Classic) and these two pulse diagnostic methods are very different. Through the analysis and inference on the relevant statements in Internal Classic and Pulse Classic, as well as those of medical scholars in later generations, it is discovered that the pulse of excess type, the pulse of deficiency type, the tense pulse, the regular missed-beat pulse, etc. could be detected and be used to judge the disorders of meridians and zangfu organs by the comparison between the pulse of excess type and the pulse of deficiency type with renying and cunkou pulse diagnostic methods recorded in Internal Classic. The substance of renying and cunkou pulse diagnostic methods in Pulse Classic is consistent with the methods in later generations, meaning that they can be applied to judge the disorders of meridians and zangfu organs through detecting the excess or the deficiency in every region of cun, guan and chi.

4.Expression of Nitric Oxide Synthase Isoforms in Human Endometrium and Decidua
Acta Medicinae Universitatis Scientiae et Technologiae Huazhong 2001;30(2):151-154
To evaluate the role of nitric oxide in local function of endometrium, the pattern of expression of endothelial and inducible nitric oxide synthases in the human endometrium at proliferative and secretory phases and decidua was studied by using immunocytochemistry. Results showed: (1) At the proliferative phase, the eNOS immunostaining was confined to vascular endothelial, whereas the iNOS was not detected in any composition of endometrium. (2) At the secretory phase, surface epithelium and grandular epithelium showed positive staining for both eNOS and iNOS. The stroma remained uniformly negative throughout the menstrual cycle. (3) In the decidua, the expression of both isoforms was increased, while moderate iNOS immunoreactivity was observed in decidualized stromal cells. It was demonstrated that the expression of eNOS and iNOS was elevated at the secretory phase and in decidua, indicating the increased production of NO at these phases. The increasing of NO might take part in implantation through dilating the vessels and relaxing the smooth muscles and in menstration through promoting apoptosis.

7.Clinical observation on the efficacy of the treatment with combination of all-trans retinoic acid and arsenic trioxide in 50 cases of newly diagnosed acute promyelocytic leukemia
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2011;20(5):282-285
Objective To study the efficacy of arsenic trioxide (ATO) combined all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) in primary acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) patients. Methods 98 patients with newly diagnosed APL were randomly divided into control (48 cases) and treatment group (50 cases). Control group received conventional ATRA+DA dual induction regimen and the treatment group received ATRA 25 mg·m-2·d-1, and ATO 0.15 mg·kg-1·d-1 beginning from 10 days later after administration of ATRA. After complete remission (CR), ATO and ATRA treatment were received. CR rate for consolidation, time of reaching clinical and molecular remission and 5-year disease-free survival were observed. Results CR rates were 89.6 % (43/48) and 90.0 % (45/50) in control group and treatment group, respectively, and the time of obtaining CR was (30.0±5.1) and (28.1 ±4.4) days, respectively. CR rates (x2 =-0.068, P =0.946) and time of reaching CR (t =1.757, P =0.083) in two groups showed no significant difference. In patients obtaining CR, 3 patients relapsed in 276, 385 and 394 days after CR, respectively. PML-RARα fusion gene was positive at diagnosis in all patients. The rate of negative of fusion gene at CR in control and treatment group was 25.0 % (5/20) and 29.4 % (5/17), respectively. The rate of negative of fusion gene after consolidation in control and treatment group was 92.5 % (37/40) and 97.6 % (41/42), respectively. 5-year disease-free survival rates of the control and treatment group was (85.3±5.9) % and (87.6±5.6) %, respectively. The difference was not statistically significant (x2 =0.232, P =0.630). Conclusion The regimen of ATO combined ATRA is effective in treating newly diagnosed APL patients, and can be used as an alternative regimen.

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2014;(4):350-352
Objective To investigate the clinical value of shortening double-J stent indwelling time in the treatment of ureteral stone-street complications after flexible ureteroscope lithotripsy . Methods Clinical data of 38 cases of ureteral stone-street complications following flexible ureteroscope lithotripsy from January 2012 to December 2013 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into Group A (extubating the double-J stent two weeks after the surgery ) and Group B (retaining the double-J stent) with 19 cases in each group .The stone clearance results were compared . Results All the urinary calculus in Group A had been removed successfully , including 2 cases of renal colic , 3 cases of irritative symptoms of bladder and 3 cases of gross hematuria.Hospital cost was (766.5 ±153.7) yuan.Urinary calculus were successfully removed in 13 cases in Group B, including 19 cases of gross hematuria and 17 cases of irritative symptoms of bladder. No renal colic occurred. The hospital cost was (1251.2 ± 155.6) yuan.Compared with Group B , Group A has higher success rate of stone clearance , lower hospital cost and lower rate of bladder irritative symptoms and gross hematuria (P<0.05).There were no significant differences between the two groups in the occurrence rate of renal colic (P>0.05). Conclusions Removing the double-J stent 2 weeks after flexible ureteroscope lithotripsy resulted in higher stone clearance rate and less complications compared with retaining the double -J stent. It can reduce the occurrence of irritative symptoms bladder and gross hematuria .
9.Application progress of 18F-FDG positron emission tomograph in differentiated thyroid cancer.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2014;31(2):445-451
Positron emission tomography (PET) is a highly sensitive and low invasive technology for cancer biological imaging. Integrated PET/computed tomography (PET/CT) cameras combine functional and anatomical information in a synergistic manner that improves diagnostic interpretation. The role of 18F FDG PET/CT in differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) is well established, particularly in patients presenting with elevated thyroglobulin (Tg) levels and negative radioactive iodine scan. This review presents the evidence supporting the use of 18F FDG PET/CT throughout the diagnosis and management of thyroid cancer, and provides suggestions for its clinical uses.

10.Mining the relation between leukemia and genes using Weka
Chinese Journal of Medical Library and Information Science 2015;(1):50-54,60
Objective To mine the relation between leukemia and genes using Weka. Methods The papers on leuke-mia and genes were retrieved from PubMed, their subject headings and subheadings were extracted using BICOMB to generate co-occurrence matrix and term-paper matrix. The research hotspots were found by cluster analysis of the data on co-occurrence matrix using Weka and Cobweb. The literature was verified. Results The 42 high fre-quency words were clustered into 7 classes by Weka. No high frequency words of leukemia or genes were found in classes 1, 2, 4 and 5, indicating that their clustering efficiency was poor. The clustering efficiency of the other 3 classes was good. Conclusion Cluster analysis showed that leukemia is related with myc gene, ab1 gene, p53 gene, virus gene, immunoglobulin gene and mdm gene.
