Objective To investigate the preoperative evaluating accuracy of liver cancer using one-stop imaging quantification technique of 320 row CT and its clinical application value.Methods 42 patients with primary mass-forming liver cancers underwent one-stop imaging by 320 row CT,including enhancement imaging,perfusion quantification,liver volume quantification and angiogra-phy.After surgery,the volume of excised livers were measured.Liver function was also evaluated.Results After liver perfusion quantification,significant differences in hepatic artery flow,portal venous flow and hepatic artery perfusion index were found be-tween the 42 cases of mass-forming liver cancers and normal liver tissues (P <0.05).No significant difference was found between preoperative quantified liver volume and postoperative measured liver volume (P >0.05).The diagnostic accuracy by CT angiogra-phy was up to 40/42 cases (95.2%)through surgical verification.The diagnostic accuracy of large blood vessels and the first or sec-ond level branches were 100%.Conclusion The quantitative analysis of one-stop imaging technique by 320 rows CT can accurately evaluate the liver perfusion,angio-architecture and liver volume before surgery.

Objective To evaluate hepatic enhancement technology with MRI and its clinical application.Methods 147 patients underwent enhanced MRI scanning and an automatic injector.Total dose of contrast agent for each patient was 10 to 15ml(0.2mmol/kg)at a rate of 2ml/s,Two-phase enhancement were performed at a delay of 30 and 70 seconds respectively after the initiation of bolus injection.Results Good visualization of two phases for both hepatic artery and portal vein were achieved in 147 patients in addition to branches of abdominal aorta,hepatic artery,splenic artery,portal vein,inferior vena cava and vasculatures in hepatic port.The 4 patients did not have ideal two-phase images for various reasons.Conclusion MRI with bolus injection using an automatic injector can satisfy the diagnosis for hepatic diseases.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the impact of hyperglycemia on the hydrogen sulfide (H2S) signaling pathway in rat penile tissue and its relationship with erectile function.

METHODSTwenty healthy male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats aged 8 weeks were randomly divided into groups A (4-week healthy control), B (4-week diabetes mellitus model), C (6-week healthy control) and D (6-week diabetes mellitus model). The rats in groups B and D were injected intraperitoneally with streptozotocin at 50 mg/kg to induce diabetes mellitus, while those in groups A and C with the same volume of normal saline. The animals were killed at 4 (groups A and B) and 6 weeks (groups C and D) after treatment for measurement of the maximal intracavernous pressure/mean arterial blood pressure (ICP(max)/MAP) by electrostimulation, determination of the H2S concentration in the plasma and penile tissue, and detection of the expressions of cystathionine-beta-synthetase (CBS) and cystathionine-gamma-lyase (CSE) in the penile corpus cavernosum by immunohisto- chemistry and Western blot.

RESULTSWith electrostimulation of the pelvic ganglia at 5V and 7 V, ICP(max)/MAP was significantly reduced in groups B (0.19 +/- 0.03 and 0.29 +/- 0.04) and D (0.14 +/- 0.04 and 0.25 +/- 0.04) as compared with A (0.46 +/- 0.07 and 0.68 +/- 0.09) and C (0.43 +/- 0.07 and 0.65 +/- 0.16) (P < 0.05). No statistically significant differences were found in the level of serum testosterone either between groups A and B ([469.19 +/- 126.46] ng/dl vs [359.08 +/- 60.06] ng/dl, P > 0.05) or between C and D ([470.44 +/- 209.28] ng/dl vs [297.01 +/- 96.58] ng/dl, P > 0.05). Groups B and D showed remarkable reduction in the H2S concentration (P < 0.05) and the expressions of CBS and CSE (P < 0.05) in comparison with A and C, and the CBS and CSE expressions were even more significantly decreased in D than in B (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONThe reduced concentration of H2S and decreased expressions of CBS and CSE in the penile corpus cavernosum of the diabetic rats suggested that the H2S signaling pathway might be involved in hyperglycemia-induced erectile dysfunction.

Objective To investigate the significance of anti-mutated citrullinated vimentin(MCV)an- tibody in rheumatoid arthritis(RA)and study the correlation among anti-CCP,other antoantibodies and clinical manifestations of RA.Methods Anti-MCV antibody was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)in 166 serum samples including 74 from RA(18 cases with early RA and 56 cases with late RA),50 from non-RA rheumatic diseases and 42 cases of healthy blood donors.At the same time,other antuoantibod- ies were detected by different techniques,and their clinical meaning was investigated with the corresponding clinical data.Results Anti-MCV was found in 78%(58/74)of RA.The sensitivity and specificity of Anti- MCV in RA were 78% and 95%.The positive and negative predictive value was 97% and 71%.The average cut off concentration of Anti-MCV was(552?380)U/ml in RA,(162?63)U/ml in non-RA and(63?46)U/ml in healthy control.Anti-MCV was strongly correlated to anti-CCP(r=0.502,P=0.000),then AKA(r=0.408)anti APF(r=0.369).No differences was found between Anti-MCV and other clinical/laboratory parameters(P＞0.05). Conclusion Anti-MCV antibody may be a valuable diagnostic parameter for RA.Anti-MCV is more strongly correlated to anti-CCP than APE and AKA.It may not relate to disease activity and/or severity.

Proteins extracted from two varieties of Chinese roses leaves were separated by two- dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (2-DE) with immobilized pH gradient (IPG). Many difference proteins were isolated with molecular weights ranging 10-30 kDa and pI5-6. Three proteins of high levels observed in a gel were excised and identified using peptide mass fingerprinting and MS-MS. A summary of the identified proteins and their putative functions are presented. They are identified as eIF-5A、LEA protein and Hsp17. 5. Functions of these proteins in plant tolerance to high temperature were discussed.

Objectiv e To investigate the correlation between ( CAG) n repeat polymorphism of androgen receptor(AR)geneandmalebreastcancer.Methods 40casesofmalebreastcancerand40controlswerecol-lected.DNA was extracted from peripheral blood and the AR gene CAG coding exon sequences for PCR amplifica -tion,sequencing and calculated the number of CAG repeats frquency .χ2 test and Logistic regression analysis were used assess the AR gene CAG repeat length frequency affect the number of male breast cancer risk .Results There was statistically significant difference in male breast cancer cases and controls the number of CAG repeat length frequency.Man for whom the(CAG)n≥22 repeat sequence had 3.52 times risk of male breast compared (CAG)n≤22(OR=3.52,P=0.036).Conclusion AR gene CAG repeat length is a predictor of the frequency of male breast cancer risk .Longer CAG repeats can increase the risk of male breast cancer .

Objective To explore the value of peripheral blood serum levels of PCT,CRP,TNF-α and free DNA of cells in predicting the development of MODS in patients with multiple trauma.Methods Complete detail clinical data of 54 casualties with multiple trauma admitted within 24 hours after accident from January 2011 through January 2012 were collected for retrospective study.The patients were divided into MODS group and non-MODS group according the criteria set forth by the Chinese Society of Critical Care and Emergency Medicine in 1995 national conference.The data of two groups are comparable,and data of another 20 healthy subjects undertaking routine annual physical examination were taken as control.The peripheral blood levels of PCT,CRP,TNF-α and free DNA of patients of two groups were determined 1 d,2 d,3 d,and 5 days after admission.Then the results were analyzed and compared between groups.Results Compared with non MODS group,the levels of PCT,CRP,free DNA of cells in MODS group were significantly higher (P ＜ 0.05),but there was no deference in TNF-α between MODS group and non-MODS group (P ＞ 0.05).When the relative risks of increased PCT (PCT≥6 mg/L),increased CRP (CRP≥ 130 mg/L)、and increased free DNA of cells (free DNA ≥ 10 0005/L) were analyzed,the presence of these 3 biomarkers with high levels occurred at the same time was the most accurate way to predicts MODS in 6.00 relative risk (RR),and the positive predictive value was 100％.Conclusions PCT,CRP,free DNA of cells could be the predictors of MODS in patients with severe multiple trauma,and the presence of high levels of these three biomarkers appearing together had high sensitivity and specificity for prediction.

Objective To detect the role of differentially expressed microRNA (miRNA) in human cholangiocarcinoma and explore their effects on apoptosis and invasiveness of cholangiocarcinoma.Methods The differential expression of miRNA in 3 cholangiocarcinoma patients was detected by miRNA array.The expressions of miR-200a,miR-200b,miR-200c,and miR-141 in human cholangiocarcinoma tissues and normal bile duct tissues were detected by real-time PCR.After transfection with miR-200b mimic,apoptosis and invasiveness of human cholangiocarcinoma cell line QBC939 was evaluated by Annexin-V-FITC dyeing and Transwell assay.Results Comparad with normal bile duct tissues,the number of differential miRNAs in cholangiocarcinoma was 21,including 15 up regulated and 6 down regulated.The expressions of miR200a,miR-200b,miR-200c,and miR-141 in human cholangiocarcinoma tissues were significantly lower than levels in normal bile duct tissues.The invasive ability of QBC939 was decreased after miR-200b mimic transfection.The apoptosis cell number of QBC939 was increased after miR-200b mimic transfection.Conclusion These results indicate that the expression of miRNA is different between cholangiocarcinoma and normal bile duct tissues.Moreover,miR-200a,miR-200b,miR-200c,and miR-141 are likely involved in the invasion and metastasis of cholangiocarcinoma and have potential as a diagnostic and prognostic marker.

Objective To investigate the immunologic classification in the patients with acute leukemia (AL) in Xinjiang of China. Methods A panel of monoclonal antibodies (MOAb) and indirect immunofluorescence assay by fluoromicroscope was used to determine the pretherapy immunophenotype of 450 AL. Results 106 cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), 334 cases of acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), and 10 cases belonged to FAB unclassified acute leukemia (UAL) were unalysed. The expression of myeloid antigens in of ALL was seen in 15 % of 106 cases, and lymphoid-associated antigens were expressed in 25 % of 334 AML cases. The most frequently expressed antigen was CD7. The expression of myeloperoxidase (MPO) gene in 295 cases of AL were studied. The expression of MPO gene was observed in positive one of 81 ALL cases, and myeloid cells had different expression for MPO gene. Of the 9 cases of UAL, 6 cases were positive for MPO gene. There were no statistic differences of the expressions of the ALL stages between Han and Wei nationality. The order of myeloid markers expression in AML was as follows: CD_(33)>CD_(13)>CD_(15) inthe Han nationality, and the order of myeloid markers expression in AML was displayed CD(15)>CD(33)>CD_(14) in Wei nationality. Conclusion Analysis of immunophenotype assured accurate lineage diagnosis of AL. Combinatively analyzing the characteristics of AL on morphology, cytochemistry, immunology and MPO mRNA expressions were significant to the diagnosis and therapy of AL.

To promote bilingual teaching reform and explore a proper bilingual teaching mode in China,we studied the bilingual teaching of the course “Biochemistry on special subjects”.The present paper mainly designs and discusses the object of the course,teaching materials,contents and methods as well as the building of feedback and evaluation system of the course.
