1.Platelets and erectile dysfunction.
National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(9):771-774
Platelets, small pieces of cytoplasm with biological activity, split and fall off the megakaryocytes and mature from the bone marrow. After stimulated, platelets produce nitric oxide to inhibit their own activation and aggregation. Pathologically, the injury of endothelial cells activates platelets and changes their functions. The release of inflammatory mediators and cytokines induces and enhances the development and progression of atherosclerosis, and thereby promotes the occurrence of erectile dysfunction. Besides, platelets and their related functional parameters may serve as important indicators in the diagnosis and treatment of erectile dysfunction.

3.Human Mitochondrial tRNA Modification and Inherited Encephalomyopathies
Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(05):-
Mutations in human mitochondrial tRNA genes are responsible for a variety of human inherited diseases. Investigations of the molecular mechanisms of these diseases are of great interest for nowadays scientists. According to the study of post-transcriptional modification patterns of human mitochondrial tRNAs, novel taurine-containing modifications were identified at the anticodon wobble nucleotides of mitochondrial tRNALeu(UUR) and tRNALys. Recently, it was reported that mitochondrial tRNAs harboring one of those encephalomyopathies related mutations, such as A8344G, A3243G, T3271C etc., lacked the normal taurine-containing modification at their anticodon wobble positions. Wobble modification deficiencies of mutant mitochondrial tRNAs were found from cybrid cells, as well as from patient tissues. Molecular surgery experiments showed that the wobble modification is essential for the interaction between the anticodon in tRNA and the codon in mRNA. Furthermore, the enzyme that is responsible for the formation of the modification was identified and characterized. These studies strongly suggested a key molecular factor responsible for the inherited mitochondrial encephalomyopathies and could potentially lead to the development of a gene therapy for these diseases.

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2005;0(12):-
Objective To investigate the effectiveness of laparoscopic mesh repair of parastomal hernia. Methods Laparoscopic mesh repair was performed in 7 patients with parasromal hernia from September 2004 to December 2005 in this hospital. Results Laparoscopic mesh herniorrhaphy was successfully performed in 6 patients, while a conversion to open herniorrhaphy was required in 1 patient because of extensive intraperitoneal adhesion. The operating time was 45~180 mi (mean, 109 min), and the hernial diameter was 4~6 cm (mean, 5.6 cm). Transient abdominal distention happened in 2 patients. Five patients complained of a pain in operative area within 3 weeks. Seroma occurred in 4 patients and was cured by needle aspiration and pressure bandaging for 2~ 4 times. No hematoma or surgery-related infection was seen. The length of postoperative hospital stay was 3~8 d (mean, 5.1 d). Postoperative follow-up for 2~15 months (mean, 8.3 months) revealed no recurrence. Conclusions Laparoscopic mesh repair of parastomal hernia is safe, effective, and feasible.
9.Prognostic evaluation of posterior wall fractures of the acetabulum by two scoring systems
Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(20):-
[Objective]To evaluate the outcome inforation provided by two scoring systems after operative treatment of elementary posterior wall fractures of the acetabulum.[Method]Thirty-two patients with elementary posterior wall fracture of the acetabulum were included in the study.Functional outcomes were assessed with use of the eight health dimensions of the short form(SF)-36,and clinical outcomes were evaluated with use of the modified Merle d' Aubign? score. The SF-36 scores were compared with previously reported normal values and the correlation was analyzed between the modified Merle d' Aubign? score and score of each SF-36 health dimension.[Result]The mean modified Merle d' Aubign? score was 16.28 (range 13-18,SD 1.3),indicating overall good-to-excellent clinical results. However, all SF-36 health dimensions were significatly lower than the expected forms, with a significant statistical difference(P

OBJECTIVE To study the clinical features of OSAHS patients closely associated with supine position. METHODS The clinical data of 105 patients with OSAHS diagnosed by overnight polysomnography(PSG)were retrospectively studied. The patients were divided in two groups: the positional patients(PP)group, those patients who had a apnea-hypopnea index(AHI) that was at least two times higher than the lateral AHI, and the non-positional patients(NPP)group, those patients in whom the AHI in the supine position was two times less than that in the lateral position, and the two groups were compared with age, BMI and the severity of OSAHS. RESULTS The difference of age and BMI were not significant between the two groups[(40.4?10.5)year versus(37.0?10.6) year,(28.2?3.8)kg/m2 versus(29.1?3.0)kg/m2]. There was significantly different in AHI between two groups[(36.8?25.4)/h versus (51.2?29.0)/h ]. AHIsupine and AHInot-supine was significantly different in mild and moderate OSAHS patients [(23.9?13.8) /h versus(12.4?10.1)/h ]. CONCLUSION Mild and moderate OSAHS patients are mainly PP. Positional therapy should play an important role in treatment of mild and moderate patients.
