1.Updated relationship between sleep and erectile function.
National Journal of Andrology 2016;22(3):252-257
Penile erection (PE) is a physiological phenomenon involving complex mechanisms. PE may occur as reactive erections, psychogenic erections in the conscious state and spontaneous erections during the sleep. Sleep-related PE refers to the erections occurring spontaneously during the sleep with rapid eye movement. Studies have shown a correlation between sleep and PE as well as between sleep disorders and erectile dysfunction but not yet revealed the exact mechanisms. This paper updates the relationship between sleep and erectile function.

2.Advances in researches on the optic nerve protection
International Eye Science 2006;6(6):1267-1271
· The mechanisms of regeneration and protection of optic nerve the represent of central nerves are researched more and more profoundly and extensively in recent years. The retinal ganglion cells protection after injury is stopping or preventing it from apoptosis mainly. The methods include glutamic acid inhibitor, nitric oxide (NO) inhibitor, neurotrophic factor, gene therapy, acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine and so on. However, there have no any medicines or operations that play definite curative role in the retinal ganglion cells protection after injury up to now. So the ganglion cells protection is at its exploratory research stage, which will shoulder heavy responsibilities.

Objective:To observe the effect of Fufang Congrong Yizhi Capsule on myristoylated alanine-rich C-kinase substrate (MARCKS) mRNA level in hippocampus of old dementia rats induced by ?-amyloid(1-40). Methods: Animals were divided randomly into young group, old group, sham operation group, model group, western medicine group and Chinese medicine group. Model, western and Chinese medicine groups received ?-amyloid (1-40) intracerebroventrical injection to build dementia animal model, and then Chinese and westein medicine groups received Fufang Congrong Yizhi Capsule and donepezil for 14 days, respectively. To observe changes of behavior and MARCKS mRNA under the effect of Chinese and western medicine by Morris test and RT-PCR test. Results: Learning and memory function of Chinese and western medicine groups were better than that of model group. MARCKS mRNA of model group was increased significantly, that of Chinese medicine group was decreased compared with model group. Conclusion: Fufang Congrong Yizhi Capsule can reduce the level of MARCKS mRNA in hippocampus of old dementia rats caused by ?-amyloid(1-40), through which it can improve the learning and memory function of the dementia old rats.

Doctors of past dynasties already understood deficiency of kidney essence, phlegm and blood stasis were important for dementia. As the increasing recognition about Alzheimer disease and the offer of 'toxin damaging brain vessel' hypothesis,we thought ?-Amyloid,the pathology of Alzheimer disease, had the character of damaging brain and marrow,so it belonged to internal toxin, internal toxin damaging brain and marrow was also the pathology of the disease.Deficiency of kidney essence was the precondition, insufficient brain and marrow and internal toxin damaging brain and marrow were the two causes of brain and marrow consumption and spirit dysfunction, which were the pathology of Alzheimer disease in Chinese medicine.

Objective·To compare the stress distribution at abutments, edentulous ridge, and peri-implant tissue under the vertical load between the RPI-type removable partial denture supported by implants with different diameter and the conventional RPI-type removable partial denture using a three-dimensional photoelastic method. Methods·The mandibular Kennedy I type denture defect models were fabricated according to the standard mandibular model. Four Straumann system soft tissue level implants with different diameters (two 4.1 mm implants and two 3.3 mm implants) were implanted into the bilateral first molar areas. Planting nails and epoxy resin teeth were inversely put into the mandibular silicone rubber molds to fabricate the epoxy resin photoelastic models and the regular neck (RN) healing abutments were screwed into the implants. A simulated alveolar mucosa with thickness of 2mm and a conventional RPI-type removable partial denture were placed on the epoxy resin models with or without implants. Then a force of 1 kg was vertically applied by a bite force loading device which fixed the model and denture in the centric occlusion. After the stress was frozen, model slices at different areas were cut and the stress fringes were observed. The stress was calculated according to the fringe value of per unit thickness. Results·For the conventional RPI-type removable partial denture, the maximum stress of distal abutment was mainly concentrated on the apical regions and the maximum stress of edentulous ridge was concentrated on the first molar area, particular on the lingual side of alveolar bone. For the implant-supported RPI-type removable partial denture, the maximum stress of distal abutment was lower than that of the conventional RPI-type removable partial denture, and the maximum stress of edentulous ridge (without the implants) was similar to that of abutment and supporting tissues and was lower than that of the conventional RPI-type removable partial denture. The stress around the implant was the largest and the peri-apical stress of implant was greater than the neck stress of implant. Meanwhile, the maximum stress around the implant was increased with the decrease of implant diameter. Conclusion·Compared to the conventional RPI-type removable partial denture, removable partial dentures supported by implants are more stable with a more balanced stress distribution in supporting tissues, thus benefit the health of abutments and supporting tissues.

Due to unknown onset time, patients with wake-up stroke and unknown onset stroke areoften excluded from thrombolytic therapy. However, many clinical studies have shown that multimodal imaging techniques can effectively guide wake-up stroke and unknown onset stroke for intravenous thrombolysis. Its endovascular treatment has also made some progress. This article mainly reviews the imaging findings, intravenous thrombolysis, and endovascular therapy in patients with wake-up stroke and unknown onset stroke.

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(05):-
Objective To study the effect of methyl mercury on the development of rat offspring. Methods The male Wistar rats were divided into four groups randomly, each group was administrated methyl mercury by gavage every two days for two months, then, the rats were mated with healthy female rats. The development, growth and behaviors of offspring were investigated. Results Compared with the control, the body weights of offspring in groups of 1.170 mg/kg and 0.580 mg/kg were less and the development was tardy. The indexes that can reflect the level of development showed that the behaviors of offspring in experimental groups were damaged. Conclusion The male rats exposed to methyl mercury may produce an adverse effect on the development, growth and behaviors of their offspring.

The fast transmission and large range of emergence of infectious diseases jeopardize human health, social and economic development, which is a great threat to global public health. World Health Organization for the new features of infectious diseases on theInternational Health Regulations was revised to help member countries improve the ability to respond to public emergencies. Our government promptly revised theCommunicable Disease Prevention Act, enacted a series of laws and strategies to promote the establishment of infectious disease surveillance and response systems. Chinese medicine was included in the country infectious disease prevention and control system. After nearly 10 years of development, the prevention and treatment of Chinese medicine on emergence of infectious diseases, the clinical medicine and research capacity of respond infectious diseases has been significantly improved, and become an important part of our system of infectious disease prevention and control.
10.Endoscropic assist in rat orotracheal intubation
Chinese Journal of Comparative Medicine 2015;(5):47-50
Objective To investigate endoscropic assist in rat orotracheal intubation. Methods 40 rats were randomly divided into two groups. The procedure time, total time, intubation frequency, the success rate of the first intubation and the survival rate in 24h were compared between the conventional group and the endoscropic group. Results The total time in two groups were nearly the same. But the procedure time and frequency of intubation were significantly less in the endoscropic group than those in the conventional group. The success rate of the first intubation in the endoscropic group was obviously higher than that of the conventional group. There was no obviously difference between the survival rate after extubation in 24h between groups. Conclusion Endoscropic assist is superior to the conventional method and worth promoting.
