AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of vitrectomy and pan-retinal photocoagulation followed with Ahmed implantation in management of neovascular glaucoma ( NVG) retrospectively.
METHODS: Vitrectomy combined with pan retinal photocoagulation and Ahmed implantation was performed on 15 cases ( 15 eyes ) with NVG. All patients were followed up for 12 ~ 36mo. The change of intraocular pressure (IOP), visual acuity, neovascularization of iris, complications were observed.
RESULTS: The visual acuity of 10 eyes was improved postoperative. IOP of postoperative 1, 6 and 12mo were decreased significantly compared with preoperative ( P<0.01 ) . Neovascularization of iris was reduced dramatically. No serious complications occurred.
CONCLUSION: Vitrectomy combined with pan retinal photocoagulation followed Ahmed implantation can manage NVG effectively.
3. Progress in Development of Long-acting Delivery Systems for Local Anesthetics and Its Application in Postoperative Analgesia
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2020;55(9):709-714
Patients require proper pain relief after surgery. Local anesthetics are widely used to control postoperative pain, but their clinical application is limited due to short duration of action. In decades of research, the long-acting delivery systems have been applied to local anesthetics, with the purpose of locally and continuously release drugs to prolong the action of drugs and reduce the side effects. The study of local anesthetics long-acting delivery systems has laid foundation for clinical postoperative analgesia. This paper reviewed the research status of long-acting drug delivery systems for local anesthetics, and discussed the advantages and existing problems.

Microbiology 1992;0(04):-
Two Pseudomonas strains, K80 - B and K80 - A, can use hydrocarbon as carbon source by two different mechanisms. Different effects can be observed when they are applied to 69-8 oil of Dagan Oil Field. The strain K80-B producing both hydrocarbon pseudosolubilizing factor and hydrocarbon emulsifying factor can decrease the viscosity and solidifying point of the 69-8 oil 51.6% and 2℃ respectively. Whereas the other can only decrease 43.5% and 3℃ respectively. When the two strains are mixed, synergistic effect on crude oil is obvious.

0.05). ConclusionThe expression of VOCC mRNA and BKCa mRNA in kidney tissues of IgA nephropathy patients are abnormal. There is positive correlation between the abnormal expression of VOCC mRNA and BKCa mRNA and total glomerular pathological lesions integrals. The expression of VOCC mRNA and BKCa mRNA in kidney tissues of IgA nephropathy may serve as the indictor for the disease progression.

Microbiology 1992;0(03):-
The genomes of umbraviruses do not encode a coat protein, and thus no conventional virus particles are formed in infected plants. Umbraviruses are always coinfected with an assistor virus, which is always a member of the family Luteoviridae, to cause most devastating diseases in some areas. The epidemiology of the umbra-virus-caused disease is largely depended on aphid transmission. The symptomology, occurrence, characteristics of the causal agents, disease control of carrot motley dwarf, groundnut rosette and tobacco bushy top were reviewed detailedly in this article.

AI M:Our purpose wastoinduce MSCs differentiatinginto endothelial cells (EC)invitroandto providetheseed cells for study of cardiovascular tissue -engineering.METHODS :MSCs were separated by gradient centrifugation on Percoll(density 1 073 g/L) fromhuman bone marrow(HBM) ,and incubated for purification and amplification in DMEM(lowglucose)with 10 %fetal bovine serum(FBS) .Then, the MSCs were incubated for orientation differentiated into ECin DMEM(high glu-cose) with20 %FBS,VEGF(10?g/L) ,bFGF(5?g/L) ,L-glutamine (2 mmol/L) ,penicillin (1?105U/L) and streptomycin(100 mg/L) for about 14 -21 days andtheir phenotypic characteristics were analyzed byflowcytometry.Afterwards ,the differenti-ating cells were evaluated by histology andimmunohistochemistry.RESULTS :The quantity of MSCs was increasedfrom5?0?105inthe primary culture to 8?0?1012,or toincrease to 1?6?107times after 15 generations of incubation. The purity of MSCs wasabove 95 %and 98 %homogeneous at passages 2 and 3 ,respectively.About 80 %-90 %of the differentiating cellsfrom MSCs af-ter 14 -21 days were positively stainedfor Ⅷfactor (vWF) related antigen by immunohistochemistry assay, and Weible -paladecorpuscle was also observed bytransmission electron microscopyinthe cytoplasm.CONCLUSION:MSCs from HBMhave the ca-pability of differentiationinto ECsin vitro, which may be a potential source of seed cellsforfabrication of tissue -engineering heartvalve ,particularlyin children with congenital heart disease .
8.Literature analyzing of acupuncture for inducing labor in 2002-2008 in China.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2010;30(10):877-880
Using literature research in CNKI, VIP, and CBM from 2002 to 2008, sixty-five papers were retrieved. The results reveals that the research of acupuncture application in inducing labor focused on clinical practices, acupuncture has remarkable effectiveness and its advantages in facilitating contractions, shortening birth process, and elevating labor pain. However, the clinical trials demands large sample of multi-center randomized controlled trials, improved standard evaluation system, consistency in research, and further exploration in basic re search. These areas demand further devetions from acupuncture researchers.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(7):653-656
OBJECTIVETo explore the clinical efficacy and action mechanism of acupuncture for premature ovarian failure (POF).
METHODSAccording to prospective cohort study design, 30 cases were included. Based on theory of regulating Chong and Conception Vessels as well as soothing the liver and calming the nerves, acupuncture at Guanyuan (CV 4), Dahe (KI 12), Taixi (KI 3), Taichong (LR 3), Baihui (GV 20) was applied, three times per week and 3 months were considered as one session. Totally two sessions were performed. The menstruation condition, estradiol (E2), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and scores of the clinical perimenopausal symptoms were taken as treatment outcomes.
RESULTSThe total effective rate was 86.7% (26/30) and the cured rate was 16.7% (5/30). The recovery rate of menstruation was 16.7% (5/30) and the regain rate of menstruation was 56.7% (17/30). After the treatment, the level of E2 was significantly increased from (45.41 +/- 18. 09) pmol/L to (59.07 +/- 24.21) pmol/L (P < 0.05), and the score of perimenopausal symptoms was obviously reduced from 14.28 +/- 8. 30 to 4.04 +/- 3.28 (P < 0.01). However, no statistical differences could be seen in FSH before and after treatment (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONAcupuncture has certain effect on improving menstruation and perimenopausal symptoms in POF patients, which is likely to he related with increasing the level of E2.
