In this paper,the teaching in medical microbiology experiment to the first group of foreign students in our college is analyzed and summarized,which will give us many experiences for later teachering.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of pravastatin on serum levels of CRP and TNF-? in patients with diabetic nephropathy and study its possible mechanism in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy. METHODS:28 patients with diabetic nephropathy were treated with provastatin plus routine therapy (trial group),another 28 patients with diabetic nephropathy were treated with routine therapy alone (control group). Objective To explore the roles of reactive oxygen species(ROS) and TGF-?1 in aldosterone-induced PAI-1 production.Methods Quiescent rat mesangial cells (MCs) were treated by aldosterone.The level of ROS in MCs induced by aldosterone was measured by confecal laser scanning microscopy and the TGF-?1 activity in the supematant of culture was measured by mink lung epithelial cell (Mvllu) proliferation inhibition MTT assay.Then,before the addition of aldosterone,MCs were pretreated with NAC or TGF-?1 neutralizing antibody to decrease cellular ROS or inhibit activity of TGF-?1 induced by aldosterone respectively.PAI-1 mRNA was examined by semi-quantification RT-PCR and PAI-1 protein by Western blotting.Results The intracellular ROS induced by aldosterone increased by 5-fold compared to that of control group,and the activity of TGF-?1 stimulated by aldosterone increased markedly.TGF-?1 neutralizing antibody and NAC effectively decreased aldosterone-induced PAI-1 mRNA expression by 30% and 32%,and PAI-1 protein expression by 21% and 11%,respectively.However,neither TGF-?1 neutralizing antibody nor NAC alone could regulate aldosterone-induced PAI-1 mRNA and protein expression to normal level in 24 hours.Conclusions ROS and TGF-?1 play important roles in up-regulation of aldosterone- induced PAI-1 in MCs.ROS and TGF-?1 are not the exclusive pathway of PAI-1 expression induced by aldosterone in MCs.

Aim To investigate the rationality and the dose of TSD combined with TSA on reducing serum uric acid and anti-inflammatory.Methods Mice hyperuricemic models were made by uric acid intraperitoneal injection or yeast extract paste intragastric administration.Mice ear swelling model was induced by locally painting dimethylbenzene.Optimized combination dosage of TSD and TSA was obtained using the Codrug software.Results In the mice hyperuricemic models,the serum uric acid in TSD group,TSD plus TSA group and positive control groups was significantly reduced compared with the model group(P

Objective To compare theshort-term efficacy and safety between TP and PVB scheme chemoradiation for advanced cervical cancer. Methods Between January 2012 and January 2014, 187 Xinjiang uygur patients with advanced cervical cancer (stageⅡb to Ⅳa) who received concurrent chemoradiotherapy in Xinjiang medical university affiliated tumor hospital were analyzed. A1l cases were divided into two groups receiving radiotherapy concomitant (n = 104), PVB group (n = 83). Theshort-term efficacy and toxicity was evaluated four weeks aftertreatment. Results For squamous cell carcinomas, the response rates were 85.9% and 73.5% in TP and PVB group respectively (P > 0.05). For Non-squamous cell carcinomas (adenocarcinoma and adenosquamous), the response rates were 75.7% and 40% in TP and PVB group respectively (P < 0.05). B one marrow suppression, neurotoxicity, gastrointestinal reactionwere significant different between two groups (P <0.05). Liver and kidney functiondisorder, blood cellsreduction, and radiation damagewere not significantly different (P > 0.05). Conclusions For cervical squamous cell carcinomas, theshort-term efficacy of two chemotherapy regimens is similar while forNon-squamous cell carcinomas, TP regimengroup is superior toBone marrow suppression and neurotoxicity in TP regimengroup is significantly higher than PVB group (P < 0.05), while gastrointestinal adverse reaction lower than PVBgroup.

A number of reports have appeared implicating neurotoxicity of local anesthetics as a possible cause of neurologic complications after spinal anesthesia. Transient neurologic syndrome is one of neurologic complications. This article reviews the etiology, occurred mechanism, clinical symptoms, risk factors, prevention and treatment of transient neurologic syndrome.
