Replenishing qi, nourishing yin and activating blood circulation therapy is an effective treatment for diabetic nephropathy (DN) in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). In this article, mechanisms of this therapy in DN were summarized, which included improvement of glucose and lipid metabolism, reducing inflammation and relieving renal fibrosis. And it provided theoretical supports for DN treatment with TCM.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the new drug purchasing mode using autoregressive integrated moving-average (ARIMA) prediction model for improvement of the working quality and efficiency in hospital drug storeroom.METHODS:Drug consumption data from week 1 to week 47 in 2008 were collected.According to ABC method,category A drugs were defined among which 10 kinds of drugs were sampled randomly.Based on the data of from week 1 to week 44 in 2008,software SPSS13 was applied for the modeling and fitting of ARIMA model.The established model was applied to predict the data of from week 45 to 47,with the predicated data compared with the actual consumption data.RESULTS:The predicted purchasing amount using ARIMA model were consistent with the actual consumption data,with prediction accuracy for quantity at 89.19% and prediction accuracy for whole unit of purchased drugs at 97.56%,respectively.CONCLUSIONS:Good fitting and high short-medium term predication accuracy were obtained in the prediction using ARIMA model,and which could provide scientific support for drug purchasing and help manage the drug stock reasonably without appearance of out of stock or overstock.

Objective:To investigate the influence of Mannan Peptide combined with 5-Fu on the proliferation and apoptosis of HepG2 cells and to explore the related mechanism.Methods:HepG2 cells were divided into four groups:the control group,5-Fu group,Mannan Peptide group and combination group.Cell proliferation was evaluated by MTT assay.Flow cytometry was used to examine the cell cycle,proliferation index(PI)and apoptosis ratio.The expression of Bcl-2 protein in each group was analyzed by immunocytochemical method.Results:The inhibitive effect of 5-Fu plus Mannan Peptide was significantly stronger than that of Mannan Peptide alone,in a time-and dose-dependent manner. Cells were treated with medicine for 48 hours.Compared with cells in the control group and 5-Fu group,the percentage of cells in G_0/G_1 stage and the apoptosis ratio in the combination group were increased(P<0.01).In immunocytochemical analysis,the combination of Mannan Peptide and 5-Fu could significantly decrease Bcl-2 protein level(P<0.01).Conclusion:The combination of Mannan Peptide and 5-Fu can synergistically suppress the proliferation and induce apoptosis of human hepatoma HepG2 cells.The mechanism might be associated with down-regulation of Bcl-2 protein expression.

Objective To analyze the difference of soft and hard tissues between beautiful face and ordinary face in young Han women for providing data basis for modification of lower facial contour.Methods 38 cases of young Han women were selected with craniofacial spiral CT scanning,three-dimensional reconstruction and histomorphometry of the mandibular angle region (12 cases of beautiful face and 26 cases of ordinary face).Results The difference of bony bigonial breadth,lower face width,angle of mandibular angle,mandibular branch width and height,the distance between the mandibular angle point and pogonion in mandibular angle region had statistical significance (P ＜ 0.05);the difference of mandibular angle thickness had no statistical significance (P＞0.05);the difference of masseter muscle length,width and thickness had statistical significance (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions In clinical lower facial contour modification practice,we can refer to the data of soft and hard tissue of mandibular angle region of beautiful face,combining with the specific circumstances of the pursuit of beautiful people and select the appropriate surgical approach for lower facial contour modification.

Objective To investigate the sonographic diagnostic value of poorly differentiated thyroid carcinoma and anaplastic thyroid carcinoma. Methods Ultrasonography of 22 cases with differentiated thyroid carcinoma and anaplastic thyroid carcinoma were observed with color doppler sonography.The shape,size,echo,boundary,microcalcifieation foci and blood stream distribution were studied,and contrasted with pathological diagnosis after operation.Lymphnode in cervical part and sulcus esophagus were examined.The characters of thyropathy according to the above sonographie features were judged. Results 16uhrasonography or before operation and biopsy,in which 9 were left,7 were right.6 cases were in both leaves.Ultrasound showed that 2 cases were poody differentiated thyroid carcinoma, 1 case was parathyroid carcinoma. 1 case was Hashimoto's thyroditis, and remainders were thyroid carcinoma. Conclusion Ultrasonography could enhance the detection rates and diagnose accordance rates of poorly differentiated thyroid carcinoma and anaplastic thyroid carcinoma.

Objective To explore an ideal surgical method for mid-low face lifting.Methods In this procedure,the first surgical step was subcutaneous undermining that was performed through the incision along temporal hairline,anteriorear,and mastoideae.It extended distally beyond the furthest skin fold and along the mandibular border or the midline of the neck if nacessary.Then three layers suspension were performed,which included three procedures:first,SMAS was purse string sutured in certain direction;secondly,the malar fat pad was suspended to tow directions backward and upward and anchored in the periosteum of zygoma and SMAS too;lastly,through traction suture of reducing tension step-by-step,lots of the tension was relieved from the incision;at the same time,new retaining ligaments between flap and SMAS were reestablished.And redundant skin was removed in incision at the end of the procedure.Results A total of 22 cases received this operation.16 cases were followed up from 3 months to 24 months after operation.The results of operation were divided into three degrees:excellent,acceptable and poor;and those were evaluated by patients themselves.14 cases obtained excellent result (87.5 ％),2 cases regarded that their results were acceptable (12.5 ％).The total satisfactory rate was 100 ％.None serious complication occurred in those eases except some slight complications,such as local edema,skin numbness and small hematoma which relieved in 3 to 6 months after operation.Scar was inconspicuous.Conclusions This technique can correct the posies of lower tow-third face better,especially for mitigating the nasolabial fold and enhancing the elastic of face skin.Simultaneously,it is an effective,safe and simple technique.

Objective To observe the surgical results of milling technique in treating mandibular angle hypertrophy through an intraoral approach and the effect of three-dimensional computer tomography (3D-CT) reconstruction.Methods Milling-technique was used to treat mandibular angle hypertrophy of 43 patients through intraoral approach under local anaesthesia.3D-CT was applied preoperatively and postoperatively,the data of mandibular angle and masseter muscle thickness were compared preoperatively and postoperatively.The facial contour improvement was also observed.Results Of 43 cases,33 cases were followed-up for 4 to 24 months after operation.The majority of patients were satisfied with the aesthetic results,changes of anterior and lateral view of basifacial part were obvious,the curve of the mandibular angle was smooth and the shape was natural; no major complications such as facial nerve injury or malfracture were seen.Conclusions Milling-technique is a safe,effective and simple method for mandibular angle reduction,and 3D-CT reconstruction has a positive effect preoperatively and postoperatively.

Objective To develop self-microemulsifying drug delivery system(SMEDDS) of Acanthopanax senticosus total saponins(ASTS) and the determination method.Methods The equilibrium solubility of ASTS in different compositions of oils,emulsifier and assistant emulsifier was investigated.The self-microemulsion formula was optimized by constructing the pseudo-ternary phase diagrams of blank SMEDDS and the studying the self-microemulsifying efficiency and the stability of drug-loaded SMEDDS.Taking isofraxidin,an effective component of A.senticosus,as the content determination index,the content was determined by HPLC.Results The optimal self-microemulsion formula was composed of Caf,propanediol,and ethyl linolenate.The ratio of them was 16∶4∶5.The average particle size was 40 nm.The average content of isofraxidin was 92.6 ?g/mL.Conclusion The acquired microemulsion with small particle size is stable.The content determination method of taking isofraxidin as the quality control index is accurate and reliable.

Objective To evaluate the effect and the anti-tumor mechanism of nucleoside combination on human hepatoma cell line Bel-7402 with Arg-Gly-Asp sequence labeled by ultrasmall superparamagnetic iron oxide (RGD-USPIO).Methods The tumor cells Bel-7402 of logarithmic phlyhase were divided into experimental group and control group,treated with 1 mmol/L nucleoside combination and 1640 medium respectively.The two group were co-cultured for 48 h,and were added RGD-USPIO and co-cultured for 6 h.Then the two groups were proceeded with MR scanning,and the signal intensity of T2WI were measured.After extraction of the total RNA and protein of experiment group and control group,the expression of integrin avβ3 was detected using real-time PCR and Western blot.Results The T2WI signal intensity of experimental group (997.35±42.83) was higher than that of control group (241.05±15.36,t 28.79,P＜0.01).Compared with control group,the expression of integrin αvβ3 mRNA in experimental group was (0.22±0.02) times (t=4.50,P＜0.01).According to Western blot,the protein bands of experimental group were relatively lighter than that of control group,the expression of integrin αvβ3 in experimental group was lower (t =11.88,P＜0.01).Conclusion Nucleoside combination has anti-tumor effect by inhibiting integrin ligand-receptor binding,and the anti tumor mechanism may be related to the induction of tumor cell apoptosis.MR molecular probes can conveniently and accurately evaluate the anti-tumor effect of nucleoside combination on Bel-7402 cells.

Objective To investigate the effects of HepG2 and HepG2.2.15 cells steatosis on the mRNA and protein expressions of suppressors of cytokine signaling-3(SOCS-3) and sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBP-1c).Methods The cell model of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) combined with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) was successfully constructed using an oleic acid-induced HepG2 and HepG2.2.15 cells steatosis.Cells were divided into HepG2 cell control group (HepG2 cell control group), HepG2.2.15 cell control group (HepG2.2.15 cell control group), HepG2 cell steatosis group (HepG2 cell steatosis group) and HepG2.2.15 cell steatosis group (HepG2.2.15 cell steatosis group).The expression levels of SOCS-3 and SREBP-1c mRNA were detected by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR).Changes in protein expressions of SOCS-3 and SREBP-1c were measured by western blot.Results SOCS-3 mRNA expression level in HepG2.2.15 cell control group was significantly lower than that in HepG2 cell control group (P<0.01).The level in HepG2 cell steatosis group was also significantly lower than that in HepG2 cell control group (P<0.01).However, the level of SOCS-3 mRNA in HepG2.2.15 cell steatosis group was lower than HepG2.2.15 cell control group with no statistical significance (P=0.173).There was interaction between cells and steatosis (F=25.547, P<0.01).The expression of SREBP-1c mRNA in HepG2.2.15 cell control group was significantly lower than that in HepG2 cell control group (P<0.01), and was significantly higher in HepG2.2.15 cell steatosis group than that in HepG2.2.15 cell control group (P<0.01).There was no significant difference between HepG2 cell steatosis group and HepG2 cell control group (P=1.000).There was interaction between cells and steatosis (F=5.04, P<0.05).Western blot analysis showed that protein levels of SOCS-3 and SREBP-1c in steatosis cells at 48 h and 72 h were significantly higher than those in non-alcoholic steatosis cells.Conclusions Protein expressions of SOCS-3 and SREBP-1c are up-regulated in both steatosis groups.Factorial analysis shows that there is interaction between cells and steatosis.HBV gene could inhibit SOCS-3 mRNA expression and promote the expression of SREBP-1c mRNA in steatosis cells.
