Objective To study antioxidant activity of extracts from Perinereis aibuhite.Meth- ods The extracts from Perinereis aibuhite were purified by using Sephadex LH-20 and its an- tioxidant activities were determined by the method of DPPH.Results and Conclusion The ex- tracts from Perinereis aibuhite showed strong free radical scavenging activity,and it was identified as a group of low molecular weight peptides by qualitative analyzing method.

Objective To investigate dynamic changes and clinical significance of the high-sensitive Creactive protein(hs-CRP) level in acute cerebral infarction patients with different etiological types.Methods 136 patients with acute cerebral infarction were recruited.These patients were classified into five subtypes based on Trial of Org 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment(TOAST) criteria.Serum hs-CRP levels on the 1st,3rd,5th,7th,14th day after onset from patients and 42 healthy controls were measured with immunoturbidimetry.The neurologic impairmentscore was determined with NIHSS.Results Serum hs-CRP levels is higher on the 1th,3rd,5th,7th,14th day than that of the control group ( (4.26 ± 1.31 ),( 12.57 ± 6.29 ),( 10.23 ± 4.49 ),(7.54 ± 2.33 ),(4.25 ± 1.77) mg/Land (2.56 ± 0.86) mg/L,t = 7.89,10.26,10.99,13.55,5.97,P ＜ 0.05 ).Among 5 subtypes,serum hs-CRP was the highest in large-artery atherosclerosis group after acute ischemic stroke,and cardioembolism group was the next.Serum hs-CRP reached the highest on three or five days after disease onset and decreased slowly.High levels of hs-CRP in large-artery atherosclerosis group indicated severe neurologic functional impairment and worsen prognosis.Conclusions ACI is closely related to serum hs-CRP level,which can be used as an subjective index for severity and prognosis with the lasting,high levels of hs-CRP levels predict poor prognosis.

Perilla frutescens callus were induced from leave explants on MS medium suplemented with NAA and 2,4-D. The Rosmarinic acid (RosA) content of dried callus was 0.85%. The RosA was extracted from the callus with 80% alcohol and purified through extraction with ethyl acetate and a Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. The parity of the final product was 95% as analyzed by HPLC RosA could inhibit the growths of Escherichia colt, Staphylococcus aueris and Rhizotonia with MICs of 300, 400, 800?g/mL, respectively.

Objective To prepare active components from extract of Arca subcrenata Lischke and analyze its antioxidative activity.Methods The antioxidative component(P3)from Arca subcrenata Lischke was isolated by chromatography on Superdex-75 column followed by a Sephadex LH-20 column,and antioxidative activities were assayed using potassium ferricyanide and DPPH methods,respectively.The characters of this component were determined by ninhydrin reagent,anthrone reagent,Coomassie Brilliant Blue G250 reagent as well as thin-layer chromatography.Results and Conclusion A component with strong antioxidative activity was isolated and identified as glycosylated peptide.

Objective To express and purify recombinant protease with thrombolysis activity of Perinereis aibuhitensis Grube and study on its characterization.Methods pMAL-PPA was in- troduced into E.coli DH5?to construct engineering bacteria and overexpression of the prote- ase of fused with maltose binding protein(MBP-PPA)was achieved with IPTG induction. The fusion protein was purified by affinity chromatography on amylose-resin column fol- lowed by chromatography on a DEAE-sepharose FF column.PPA cut with Factor Xa was assayed using casein plates supplied with plasminogen.Results Engineering bacteria express- ing maltose binding protein-thrombolytic protease of P.aibuhitensis were constructed and overexpression of MBP-PPA was achieved with IPTG induction.A recombinant fusion pro- tein of 51kD was purified,and PPA cut down from the fusion protein had a plasminogen-acti- rating activity.The protease showed a good thermal stability with an optimal pH of 8.0. This enzyme was also relatively stable in a pH range of 6.0～9.0 and still active after stored in organic solvents for 20d.Conclusion PPA was verified as a plasminogen activator,and might be a new thrombolytic medicine in the future.

Objective To compare the treatment effects between lymphatic chemotherapy and regional extended release chemotherapy (RERC) for rectal cancer lymph node metastasis. Methods The lymph nodes at or beside colon (first station), beside (second station) and at the root of mesentery blood vessel (third station) of the patients with rectal cancer in control group (20 cases), lymphatic chemotherapy group (20 cases) and RERC group (20 cases) were removed to compare proliferation index (PI), apoptotic index (AI) and AL/PI of cancer cells in the lymph nodes. Results The PI, AI, and AI/PI of cancer cells in correspondent lymph nodes were not statistically different between lymphatic chemotherapy group and the other 2 groups (F=4.973-7.394, 5.372-8.694, 4.527-5.436, P<0.05; t=3.128-7.688, 3.388-9.615, 6.518-13.180, P<0.05). The PI, AI, and AI/PI of cancer cells in the first and second station lymph nodes in RERC group were significantly different from those in control group (t=5.103, 4.927; 6.938, 6.450; 8.839, 9.021; P<0.05), and from those in the third station lymph nodes in RERC group (F=6.572, 8.964, 5.845, P<0.05; t=3.505, 3.353; 5.397, 4.701; 9.039, 8.629; P<0.05). Sorted by the treatment effects for cancer cells in lymph nodes, the first is each station of the lymphatic chemotherapy group, followed by the first and second station of the RERC group, and then the third station of the RERC group which was almost equal to any station of the control group. Conclusion Lymphatic chemotherapy is better than RERC in the treatment of rectal lymph node metastasis in the aspect of scale and degree.

Objective To investigate the clinical manifestations of early postoperative internal hernia. Methods Patients who were diagnosed with early postoperative small bowel obstruction(EPSBO)within 30 days after operation and underwent laparotomy between 1994 and 2006 were included for study.Clinical and radiological findings were analyzed. Results Totally 38 EPSBO patients were identined.among those,9 patients(23.7%)had an internal hera ag the cause of the howel obstruction.Other causes included intestinal adhesions in 27 patients(71.1%),gallstone ileus in 1 patient(2.6%)and stoma obstruction in 1 patient(2.6%).In the internal hernia group,6 cases were male and 3 cases were female witIl a mean age of 53.6 years.The mean time from the primary operation to symptom development was 7.8 d(range,2～17 d)and the mean time of conservative treatment Was 3.4 d(range,1～8 d).The main clinical features included:complete mechanical obstruction with symptoms rapidly progressing and early bowel strangulation.Specific radiologic abnormalities misht be identified,especially by contrast-enhanced CT.In this series,intestinal strangulation was found in 6 patients with bowel necrosis in 4 eases,necessitating howel resection in 5 patients.Wound infection developed in one cage and there was no perioperative death.Conclusion Internal hernia can occur early postoperatively and it bears a high risk of strangulation and bowel necrosis.Prompt operative intervention should be carried out in highly suspicious patients in order to avoid complications and achieve good outcome.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of multi-tomographic imaging mode of three-dimensional ultrasound combined with surface imaging in diagnosing and staging bladder tumors.Methods Seventy-five patients were examined with three-dimensional ultrasound and two-dimensional ultrasound.In addition,54 cases were undergone preoperative multislice spiral CT.All cases were proved by pathology after operation.Results The qualitation accuracy in the diagnosis of bladder tumor with two-dimensional ultrasound was 93.3%(70/75) and that of three-dimensional ultrasound was 98.7%(74/75).The staging accuracy rates with two-dimensional ultrasound and three-dimensional ultrasound were 83.5%(106/127) and 93.2%(123/132) respectively.The difference of bladder tumor staging between three-dimensional ultrasound and two-dimensional ultrasound was significant (P＜0.05).The qualitation accuracy in the diagnosis of bladder tumor with CT was 90.7%(49/54).The preoperative staging rate of CT was 79.7%(59/74),compared with that of three-dimensional ultrasound,the difference was significant(P＜0.05).Conclusions Multi-tomographic imaging mode of three-dimensional ultrasound combined with surface imaging can provide useful information and makes an improvement in detecting and staging bladder tumors.

Objective To explore the value of virtual touch tissue quantification(VTQ) on the early diagnosis of gouty nephropathy.Methods 180 healthy controls and 109 gout patients including 57 cases with normal renal function,and 52 cases with gouty nephropathy were measured by VTQ in this study.The shear wave velocity (SWV) of renal cortex,renal medulla and renal sinus were measured using virtual touch tissue quantification(VTQ).The recorded SWV value was compared.Results In all groups,the SWV of renal cortex was the highest with significant difference (P ＜0.01).The SWV of renal cortex in gouty nephropathy group was higher than those in control group (t =0.342,P =0.026).The SWV of renal medulla and sinus in gout with normal renal function group and gouty nephropathy group were higher than those in control group,respectively (gout with normal renal function group:t =-0.311,-0.628; P =0.012,0.000;gouty nephropathy group:t =-0.369,-0.701 ; P =0.000,0.000).The SWV of renal cortex,medulla and sinus had no significant difference between gout patients with normal renal function and gouty nephropathy patients(t =0.117,-0.059,-0.073; P =0.232,0.575,0.523).Conclusions The VTQ technology could quantitatively evaluate tissue elasticity of the gout patients and provide evidence for the early diagnosis of gouty nephropathy.
