1.Analysis of three-dimensional contrast-enhanced ultrasonographic features of corpus luteum hematoma

Objective To analyze three-dimensional contrast-enhanced ultrasonographic(3D-CEUS) features of corpus luteum hematoma,to improve the understanding of the sonographic features of corpus luteum hematoma.Methods 3D-CEUS features of thirty corpus luteum hematoma in twenty-nine cases were analyzed retrospectively and compared with conventional ultrasonography.Results Conventional ultrasonography and 3D-CEUS had statistical differences in the scores of these three parameters of corpus luteum hematoma:the wall(1.20 ± 0.43 vs 2.00 ± 0.00),internal echo(1.77 ± 0.43 vs 1.00 ± 0.00) and whether there being the main blood vessels(1.10 ± 0.31 vs 1.53 ± 0.51) (all P =0.000).Conclusions 3DCEUS can provide valuable information for the differential diagnosis of corpus luteum hematoma.
2.Investigate the strategy for diagnosis and surgical treatment of acute and subacute nontraumatic spinal cord injury

Objective To summarize the clinical features,diagnosis and surgical strategies of the acute and subacute nontraumatic spinal cord injury.Methods We analyzed retrospectively 46 cases of patients with acute and subacute nontraumatic spinal cord injury,who were admitted in the southwest hospital between January 2010 and december 2015.We summarized the clinical data and the effects of the surgical treatments.Results Among the 46 patients,There were 27 males and 19 females with mean age of 40.7 years (10-70).They were followed up for more than 3 months.Neurological function of ASIA at the initial admission included A in 9 cases,B in 6,C in 12 and D in 19.There were 5 hematoma patients (10.9%),11 neurilemmoma cases(23.9%),4 cases of acute disc herination (8.7%),Vascular Malformation 7 cases (15.2%),5 meningioma patients (10.9%),glioma 10 cases(21.7%) and enterogenous cyst 1 case(2.2%).46 patients underwent preoperative MRI examination,followed by spinal canal exploration,lesion resection and/or decompression.Operation within 8 hours,the signs and symptoms were improved in 6 cases.Operation within 8-24 hours were improvement in 2 cases,Operation after 24 hours improvement in 25 cases.Conclusion Early MR imaging and emergency spinal canal exploration and lesion resection with or without lamina decompression surgery is effective for the treatment of patients with acute and subacute nontraumatic spinal cord injury.
4.Analysis on the risk factors of pulmonary infection in patients with basal ganglia hemorrhage

Objective To explore the risk factors of pulmonary infection in patients with basal ganglia hemorrhage . Methods A total of 152 patients with basal ganglia hemorrhage who received conservative treatment from March 2013 to Septem‐ber 2014 were enroled in the study ,while the incidence of pulmonary infections and and risk factors were retrospectively analyzed , and recorded the distribution of pathogenic bacteria .Results The pulmonary infections occured in 106 of 152 patients with the in‐fection rate of 69 .7% .The way of treatment ,history of smoke and consciousness were the independent risk factors for pulmonary infection(P<0 .05) .A total of 153 strains of pathogens were isolated from the patients of infection group ,in which there were 132 strains of gram negative bacteria ,10 strains of gram positive bacteria and 12 strains of fungi .Conclusion Basal ganglia hemorrhage associated with a greater incidence of pulmonary infection ,it should be noted the risk factors of pulmonary infection in basal ganglia hemorrhage patients to reduce the incidence of pulmonary infection .
5.Bacteriological analysis of pulmonary infection in hemorrhagic brain injury patients from neurosurgical intensive care unit

Objective To investigate the characteristics of pathogen distribution and drug resistance of pulmonary infection in hemorrhagic brain injury patients from neurosurgical intensive care unit (NICU).Methods Clinical data of 234 patients with hemorrhagic brain injury hospitalized in NICU from March 2013 to September 2014 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the incidence of pulmonary infection,the patients were divided into pulmonary infection group and non-pulmonary infection group.Parameters estimated were admission GCS,sex,age,history of smoking,time of coma,duration of mechanical ventilation,NICU length of stay.Patients in pulmonary infection group were analyzed on the distribution of pathogens and incidence of drug resistance.Results A total of 158 patients (67.5%) had pulmonary infection.Among them 60 cases (38.6%) were found to be co-infected including infection with two pathogens in 26 cases (16.5%),three pathogens in 19 cases (12.0%),and four and more pathogens in 16 cases (10.1%).Age and smoking increased the incidence of pulmonary infection (P < 0.05).Time of coma,duration of mechanical ventilation,and NICU length of stay were prolonged in pulmonary infection group than in non-pulmonary infection group (P < 0.05).A total of 219 strains of pathogens were isolated from the patients in pulmonary infection group.Specifically,there were 193 strains of gram negative bacteria (88.1%),13 strains of gram positive bacteria (5.9%),and 13 strains of fungi (5.9%).Gram negative were sensitive to amikacin,imipenem,cefoperazone/ sulbactam and ciprofloxacin.Staphylococcus aureus isolated were 100% sensitive to vancomycin,linezolid and teicoplanin,and were completely penicillin resistant.Fungi were not resistant to voriconazole,itraconazole,ketoconazole,fluconazol,and amphotericin B.Conclusions High incidence of pulmonary infection is noted among the hemorrhagic brain injury patients in NICU,and the pathogens are diverse dominated by Gram negative bacteria.Incidence of multi-drug resistant pulmonary infection is high,indicating that the key point is to choose antibiotics rationally based on drug sensitivity test.
6.The target adjustment of the end-tidal carbon dioxide partial pressure in preterm infants under mechanical ventilation

Objective To reduce the incidence of the hypocapnia,the cutoff value of the end-tidal carbon dioxide partial pressure[Pet(CO2)] for predicting the hypocapnia so as to understand the suitable adjustment target and target range of the Pet(CO2) in preterm infants under mechanical ventilation.Methods From Jan.2012 to Oct.2013,96 cases of the preterm infants with respiratory distress syndrome(RDS) who needed mechanical support were selected from the Huaian Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital.Pet(CO2) value of each time point(1 h,24 h,48 h and 72 h after mechanical ventilation) were recorded,while radial artery blood was collected for blood gas analysis.The level of pa (CO2) < 35 mmHg(1 mmHg =0.133 kPa) diagnosed hypocapnia;while the level of Pa (CO2) > 60 mmHg was for diagnosing hypercapnia.The diagnostic cutoff and the suitable adjustment target and adjustment target range of the Pet(CO2) were confirmed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve.Results The data from 381 arterial blood gas analysis results were gained,of which 151 times belonged to hypocapnia,and the rate was 39.6%,the other 230 cases were normal,and no case was of hypercapnia.The area under the ROC curve was 0.895,and the area of the standard error was 0.016.There was a statistical significance in Pet(CO2) value for the diagnosis of hypocapnia(P =0.000).The lower the value of Pet (CO2),the greater the likelihood of hypocapnia,and 95 % confidence interval area was 0.864-0.926.The Pet (CO2) optimal diagnostic cutoff value determined in accordance with Youden index was 30.5 mmHg.When Pet (CO2) among 41.5 mmHg,sensitivity was 100%.Conclusions Diagnostic cutoff value for forecasting hypocapnia is 30.5 mmHg.The suitable adjustment target of mechanical ventilation parameter adjustment is 41.5 mmHg for the Pet(CO2).The target range of mechanical ventilation parameter adjustment is 30.6-41.5 mmHg for the Pet(CO2).
7.Construction of lentivirus vector containing human ?-catenin-EGFP and its expression in human hair follicle stem cells

Objective To construct the lentivirus carrying human ?-catenin-EGFP(enhanced green fluorescent protein)and observe its expression in human follicle stem cells.Methods The ?-catenin gene sequence was amplified by RT-PCR from extraction of total RNA of human vascular endothelial cells.TA cloning technique was utilized to acquire gene subcloned pUCm-T-?-catenin.After transformation reaction,candidate clone was further analyzed by PCR and gene sequencing.Then the plasmid was transfected into FT293 cells.After identification by Western blotting,the plasmid was transfected into FT293 cells again for packaging.Infection titer was monitored by green EGFP expression.The expression of ?-catenin-lentivirus in human follicle stem cells were observed under inverted fluorescence microscope.Results The ?-catenin gene was cloned into the lentivirus successfully.The high expression of green fluorescence protein in FT293 cell line was found under fluorescent microscope.Viral titer checked by real-time PCR was about 2.0?108 TU/mL.When the multiplicity of infection(MOI)was 10,the infection efficiency of ?-catenin-lentivirus in human follicle stem cells was nearly 80% after infection 48 h around.After 3 weeks of continuous observation,we found the infection efficiency still keeping in the range of 80%-90%.Conclusion The lentivirus expression vector for ?-catenin was successfully constructed.It can steadily infect human follicle stem cells and the infection efficiency is considerable high.
8.Effect of deferoxamine on autophagy induction after blast-induced brain injury in rats

Objective To determine the effect of deferoxamine administration on autophagy in a rat model of blast-induced brain injury.Methods Thirty-nine male SD rats were allotted to shamoperated group,injury group and deferoxamine group with 13 rats in each,according to the random number table.Feeney's method was applied to establish the model.Deferoxamine group received deferoxamine of 100 mg/kg intraperitoneally.Sham-operated and injury group were injected with saline intraperitoneally.All treatments were started two hours postinjury at 12 hour interval for up to 28 days.Hemoglobin,rectal temperature,blood glucose and mortality were detected at 1,3,7,14 and 28 days.Morris water maze was conducted.Rats were killed later for detecting the brain defect volume and level of Beclin 1 at the site of injury.Results There were no significant differences among the three groups with respect to hemoglobin,rectal temperature and blood glucose (P > 0.05).Mortality in injury versus deferoxamine groups did not differ significantly (P > 0.05).Volume of defected brain in deferoxamine group was (115.35 ± 13.70) mm3,smaller than (209.99 ± 16.70) mm3 in injury group (P < 0.05).In Morris water maze test,the time spent in the searching the platform and latency to reach the platform were improved in deferoxamine group compared to those in injury group [(3.13 ± 0.35) vs (2.13 ± 0.64);(36.15 ± 26.63) s vs (110 ± 47.34) s respectively] (P < 0.05).Both immunohistochemisty and western blot showed dramatically increased level of Beclin 1 after injury,but treatment with deferoxamine significantly reduced the Beclin 1 expression.Conclusion Level of Beclin 1 is significantly upregulated after blast-induced brain injury in rats,resulting in elevated autophagy postinjury,but the treatment with deferoxamine is neuroprotective possible by lessening autophagy damage.
9.Performance evaluation of 20 blood glucose meters for home use testing

Objective To evaluate the precision and accuracy of blood glucose meter(BGM ) for community home use testing . Methods According to the In Vitro Diagnostic Test Systems‐Requirements for Blood Glucose Monitoring Systems for Self‐Testing in Managing Diabetes Mellitus in DIN EN ISO15197 :2013 .Capillary blood and venous blood were tested by BGM and the laborato‐ry biochemical analyzer respectively .The measurement results of each BGM were compared with the results of the biochemical ana‐lyzer for conducting the bias analysis .Results In evaluated 20 BGM ,none of them met the requirements of ISO15197 :2013(when blood glucose concentrations < 5 .5 mmol/L ,the bias in 95% of detection results is within the range of ± 0 .83 mmol/L ;when blood glucose concentrations ≥ 5 .5 mmol/L ,the bias in 95% of detection results is within the range of ± 15% .Only 11 imported BGM (55% ) met the state standard .Conclusion The bias of 20 BGM ranged - 28 .7% - 3 .8% ,with the average bias of - 12 .2% . These detection results will bring the large risk of therapy in the diabetic patients .The regular and standardized evaluation of BGM performance may ensure the quality of blood glucose self - monitoring .
10.Effect of calcium cyanamid synthetic drug on Schistosoma japonicum egg morphology

Objective To study the morphological change of Schistosoma japonicum eggs processed by calcium cyanamide synthetic drug,so as to provide the basis for further study of the mechanism that calcium cyanamide synthetic drug to schisto?some eggs. Methods The calcium cyanamide synthetic drug was added to the cattle feces containing schistosome eggs and mixed up,and then the cattle feces was stacked as original shape on the marshland. Blank controls were set at the same time. The cattle feces samples were collected and the schistosome eggs were observed under a microscope on the 1st,2nd,3rd,7th day after the experiment. Results By the effect of calcium cyanamide synthetic drug,the color of eggs was deepening gradual?ly,the miracidia were atrophied,and the shells of eggs were thickened. The embryonic membrane of miracidia was no longer completed 3 days later,and the miracidia were deformed severely 7 days later. The atrophy of miracidia was not obvious in the blank controls. Conclusion The schistosome miracidia and embryonic membrane can be damaged by the calcium cyanamide synthetic drug,and worse damaged with time extending.
