2.Effect of aiding treatment on patients with dysmenorrhea through psychological intervention
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2009;16(3):477-478
Objective To study the effect on aiding treatment of patients with dysmenorrhea through psychological intervention. Methods Sixty patients with dysmenorrhea were randomly divied into the intervention group and the control group with 30 cases in each group. The contrd group were treated with allopathy and normal care.On the base of such ineasures, the intervention group were treated with psychological interventions like congnitive regulation, emotion regulation and behavioral regulation. Results The average pain degree of the control group was Ⅱ-Ⅲ.The average pain degree ofthe intervene group Was Ⅰ-Ⅱ.The results ofthe two groups were eonpred.P<0.01 and the difference was significant. The average dose of Atuopin in the control group was 0.60mg.and the average dose of Atuopin in the intervention group was 0.43 mg.P<0.01 and the difference of the two groups is obvious. The average time being in bed in the control group was 5.85 hours, and the average time beingin bed in the intervene group was 3.2.5 hours. The results of the two groups were compared,P<0.01and the difference is significant. Conclusion The intervention can apparently improve patients' symptoms of pain.
3.Distribution and antimicrobial resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in a county-level hospital
Chinese Journal of Infection Control 2014;(4):246-248
Objective To analyze the distribution and antimicrobial resistance of Pseudomonasaeruginosa(P. aeruginosa)in a county-level hospital, provide reference for rational antimicrobial use,and promote the control and prevention of healthcare-associated infection (HAI).Methods Data of P.aeruginosaisolated from patients in a hospital between 2010 and 2012 were analyzed statistically. Results A total of 369 P.aeruginosaisolates were iso-lated,strains were mainly from specimens of sputum(n= 234,63.41% ),urine(n= 41,11.11% )and wound(n= 28, 7.59% );most strains were from intensive care unit(n= 146,39.56% ),respiratory diseases department(n= 51, 13.82% )and neurosurgical department(n= 37,10.03% ).P.aeruginosastrains were not resistant to polymyxin B;the resistance rates to imipenem,meropenem,cefoperazone/sulbactam,piperacillin/tazobactam and amikacin were all low(6.81% -22.73% );from 2010 to 2012,resistance rates to antimicrobial agents (except polymyxin B) increased with varying degrees, some antimicrobial agents showed statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusion P. aeruginosais mainly isolated from respiratory specimens, mainly distributed in departments with serious patients;and resistance to most antimicrobial agents is high, resistance tendency is increasing, surveillance should be intensi-fied.

Purpose To investigate the expression of secreted frizzled-related protein 4 (SFRP4) and to evaluate its clinical significance in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).Methods RT-PCR was performed to analyze SFRP4 mRNA expression level in 30 paired PDAC lesion and matched adjacent non-tuimor tissue.Immunohistochemistry staining detection of 205 matched cases tissue microarray was conducted to explore SFRP4 protein expression pattern. The correlation between SFRP4 and clinical characteristics was also analyzed, including overall survival. Results SFRP4 expression pattern both at mRNA and protein level in PDAC lesion was higher than that in matched adjacent non-tumor tissue. At mRNA level,to found that expression of SFRP4 was elevated in 90% (27/30) of PDAC tissues (P =0.007 2).To found that high expression of SFRP4 was detected in 56.5% (116/205) of PDAC tissue, while only 28.8% (59/205) in the adjacent non-tumor tissue. Moreover,no significant association was observed between SFRP4 expression and clinical characteristics.Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed high level of SFRP4 expression was correlated with poor overall survival (x2 =3.467,P =0.024).Conclusion SFRP4 can be a novel prognostic biomarker in PDAC.

Objective To investigate the response of astrocytes and neurons in the medullary visceral zone (MVZ) to neuropathic pain induced by the spared nerve injury (SNI, the tibial nerve and the common peroneal nerve were sectioned, while the sural nerve was intacted). Methods The SNI operation and sham operation (only incised the skin of thigh, but the tibial nerve and the common peroneal nerve did not cut) were performed in adult male Sprague-Dawley rats. The paw withdrawal mechanical threshold (PWMT) was measured at 10,20,30 days after operation. By using single or double immunofluorescent staining method,we investigated and measured that the mean fluorescent intensity (MFI) of anti-glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP, a marker of astrocytes) signal in the astrocytes, the mean member of Fos/ GFAP double labeled astrocytes and Fos / tyrosine hydorxylase (TH) double labeled neurons in MVZ after operation. Results As compared with control or sham groups, SNI induced that the PWMT became significant sensitivity and peaked at 20 days after SNI. The activated astrocytes revealed an activated morphology, the MFI of anti-GFAP signal markedly strengthened, the mean number of Fos/GFAP double labeled astrocytes and Fos/TH double labeled neurons in the nucleus of the tract solitarius (NTS) and the ventral lateral medulla (VLM) increased significantly and peaked at 20 days after SNI. Conclusion The neurons and astrocytes in MVZ were sensitively activated by SNI.

Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2016;(1):134-136
Epigenetics change has been considered to be the most promising new strategy for disease control and prevention. TCM regulates gene expression through epigenetics, participating in pathological and physiological process including cell apoptosis, proliferation, differentiation, cell cycle regulation, immunity, inflammation, and metabolism. This article reviewed the application of DNA methylation, histone modification and the miRNA regulation in TCM research.
