OBJECTIVETo explore the clinical efficacy and effect mechanism on chronic urticaria treated with moving cupping therapy combined with autohemotherapy with acupaint injection for desensitization at acupoints.

METHODSOne hundred and four patients of chronic urticaria were randomized into a comprehensive therapy group and a medication group, 52 cases in each one. In the comprehensive therapy group, the moving cupping therapy along the governor vessel and bladder meridian of foot-taiyang was applied combined with autohemotherapy with acupaint injection for desensitization at acupoints. The self-venous blood was injected at bilateral Quchi (LI 11) and Zusanli (ST 36), 1 mL at each acupoint, once every 3 days. In the medication group, cetirizine tablets, 10 mg were prescribed for oral administration, once every day, and the compound dexamethasone acetate cream was used externally, once to twice a day. The clinical efficacy: was observed in 30 days of treatment in the two groups. The changes of serum interleukin 4 (IL-4) and immunoglobulin E (Ig E) before and after treatment were observed. The recurrence rate was compared between the two groups in 3 months after treatment.

RESULTSThe cured and markedly effective rate was 90.4% (47/52) in the comprehensive therapy group, which was higher obviously than 78.8% (41/52, P < 0.05) in the medication group. The levels of serum IL-4 and IgE were reduced in the patients of the two groups, indicating the significant difference in comparison before and after treatment (all P < 0.01) and the reducing degree in the comprehensive therapy group was much more significant than that in the medicine group (both P < 0.01). The recurrence rate was 19. 1% (9/47) in the comprehensive therapy group in the 3-month follow-up after treatment, and apparently lower than 51.2% (21/41, P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONThe moving cupping therapy combined with autohemotherapy with acupaint injection for desensitization at acupoints achieves the better efficacy on chronic urticaria compared with the routine western medicine treatment and the recurrence rate is low. The effect mechanism is possibly related to the down-regulation of serum IL-4 and IgE in the patients.

Objective To analyse the role of AEEG and MRI in diagnosis of epilepsy on its primary epileptic focus and pathologic lesions. Methods We reviewed the results of sixty epileptic patients on routine EEG, twenty-four hour active EEG(AEEG),CT scanning and MRI examinations. The relationship between epileptic discharges of AEEG and lesions of MRI was analyzed by using ? 2 test. Results AEEG showed a higher sensitivity in finding epileptic focus in 80% patients, as compared with the rate of 32% in routine EEG. The sensitivity on finding the cerebral lesion related to the epileptic focus by using MRI was 60%, as compared with the rate of 33% in CT scanning. BACKGROUND:Pelvic fractures are mostly caused by high energy trauma. With the development of imaging techniques and in-depth study of the anatomical structure of the pelvis and biomechanics, internal fixation and external fixation materials are gradual y being used in the repair of pelvic fracture. OBJECTIVE:To summarize features and applications of external fixation stent material, percutaneous screw fixation, percutaneous sacral iliac screw material for internal fixation and intramedul ary tensile screw material for internal fixation after pelvic fracture. METHODS:We retrieved Wanfang Database and PubMed for studies on the application of internal fixation material and external fixation material in pelvic fracture from 1994 to 2015. Al data were analyzed and summarized. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Application of pelvic external fixation materials contributed to the stability of early pelvic fractures, showed smal injury, could increase the reliability of fixation. However, the biomechanical stability of external fixation materials was lower than other internal fixation, could only be used for the early temporary fixation of unstable pelvic fractures in particular cases. Internal fixation materials can achieve anatomical reduction, accorded with the requirements of the physical mechanics of the pelvis, improve the stability of the pelvis, and have become the first choice for repair of unstable pelvic fractures. Currently used methods are percutaneous hol ow screw fixation, percutaneous fixation of the sacral iliac screw, and intramedul ary lag screw fixation. The combination of external fixation and internal fixation can effectively restore the stability of the pelvic cavity. Therefore, we should consider the location, type and stability of the fracture to select the appropriate internal fixation and external fixation materials.

Objective:To observe the effects and mechanism of Xiezhuo Jiedu Decoction on the expression of IL-10,TNF-? and NF-?B in ulcerative colitis rat.Methods:2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS)/ethanol solution was administrated by enema to establish ulcerative colitis rats models.Five groups were set up in the experiments:normal control group,model control group,salazosulfamide group,Xiezhuo Jiedu Decoction low-dose group,Xiezhuo Jiedu Decoction high-dose group;Pathomorphological observation was carried out on the rats'colon(DAI scores and CMDI scores).Cytokines IL-10,TNF-? were determined by radioimmunoassay;NF-?B p65 was determined by immunohistochemical staining(SP method).Results:Xiezhuo Jiedu Decoction can significantly reduce the CMDI sores of the rats'colon and the expression of NF-?B p65,increase the content of IL-10,decrease the content of TNF-?.Conclusion:Xiezhuo Jiedu Decoction had good therapeutic effect on ulcerative colitis in rats,its mechanism may be related to reducing the expression of NF-?B p65,increasing the content of IL-10,decreasing the content of TNF-?.

Objective To investigate the effects of different doses of lidocaine on acute liver injury in septic rats.Methods Fifty male Wistar rats,weighing 200-250 g,aged 8-10 weeks,were randomly divided into 5 groups(n =10 each):sham operation group(group S),sepsis group(group CLP),and different doses of lidocaine groups(groups L1-3).Sepsis was induced by cecal ligation and puncture(CLP)in anesthetized rats.At 0,1 and 2 h after CLP,lidocaine 5,10 and 20 mg/kg(in normal saline 0.5 ml)were injected intraperitoneally in groups L1-3 respectively,while normal saline 0.5 ml was given in groups S and CLP.At 24 h after CLP,blood samples were taken for determination of the plasma alanine aminotran sferase(ALT)concenlralion.The rats were then sacrificed,and the liver was removed for microscopic examination and determination of the hepatic high-mobility group box 1 protein(HMGBI)mRNA expression.Results Compared with group S,the plasma ALT concentration was significandy increased and hepatic HMGBI mRNA expression was up-regulated in groups CLP and L1-3(P ＜ 0.05).Compared with group CLP,HMGBI mRNA expression was down-regulated in groups 14-3,while the plasma ALT concentration was decreased in groups L2 and L3(P ＜ 0.05),The plasma ALT concentration was significantly decreased and HMGBI mRNA expression was down-regulated in groups L2 and L3 com pared with group L1,and in group L3 compared with group L2(P ＜ 0.05).The microscopic examination showed that the pathologic changes were attenuated in groups L1-3,and the changes were least severe in group L3.Concluslon Lidocaine can reduce acute liver injury in septic rats,this effect is dose-related,and inhibition of hepatic HMGBI mRNA expression is involved in the mechanism.

Objective To investigate the effect of different delivery modes and related obstetric factors on the short-term function of the pelvic floor.Methods One hundred and twenty healthy primiparae women were interviewed at 6-8 weeks postpartum,with 72 women in the vaginal delivery group and 48 women in the elective cesarean section group.Questionnaire on stress urinary incontinence and measurement of diastolic and contractive function of the pelvic floor muscles by electromyogram(EMG)were used for the evaluation and comparison.Results The prevalence of stress urinary incontinence in the vaginal delivery group and the elective cesarean section group was 21% and 10%(P=0.134),respectively.The values of the right act,right work,and average work surveyed by EMG in vaginal delivery group were significantly lower than those in cesarean section group(right act,12.9?0.8 vs 17.3?1.7,P

In order to provide substantial scientific information for exploring the mechanism of porcine liver injury caused by Taenia asiatica (T.asiatica),the expression of Cysteine aspartyl proteinase 3 (Caspase-3) from liver tissues of porkets that were experimentally infected by T.asiatica was examined.The T.asiatica adults were collected from the taeniasis patients in Duyun,Guizhou Province and identified biologically.The eggs were harvested from gravid proglottids and prepared by repeated washing and centrifugation.Twelve 20-days old Yorkshire and Seghers hybrid porkets were randomly divided into experimental and control groups as six pigs per group.The experimental group was orally administrated with 1.5 × 106 eggs per porket at day 0 post-infection.The porkets of both groups were sacrificed on the day 15 and day 75 post-infection (three pigs per time point) respectively,and liver samples were collected for further experiments.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction method was employed to detect the mRNA levels of Caspase-3,and western blotting and immunohistochemistry methods were performed to detect the level of Caspase-3 expression in both groups.At the day 15 post-infection,the mRNA level and expression level of Caspase-3 of the experimental group were significantly decreased,comparison with the control group (P =0.011,P=0.008 and P=0.004 respectively).It was positive with Caspase-3 when yellow or brown signal appeared in the cytoplasm of liver cells by immunohistochemistry.However,at the day 75 post-infection,the mRNA level and expression level of Caspase-3 of the experimental group were dramatically similar to the control group.Furthermore,in the experimental group,the mRNA level and expression level of Caspase-3 were significantly increased at day 75 post-infection than day 15 post-infection (P--0.018,P=0.003 and P=0.002 respectively).These results suggested that Caspase-3 might be involved into the regulation of the damage of porcine liver induced by T.asiatica challenge at the early infection stage and have on effect to the hepatic injury because of the dramatic recovery of Caspase-3 at the consequent infection stage.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of jin’s three-needle scalp electroacupuncture on Cyt-c and Caspase-3 expressions in the cerebral cortex in Intrauterine distress-induced HIBD rats and reveal the mechanism of its protective action on the brain. MethodThe abdomen was incised in a female SD rat at 21 days of pregnancy. Bilateral uterine horn blood vessels were tightly clamped with a hemostat for five minutes. An infant rat was then taken out by a cesarean section. A rat model of hypoxic-ischemic brain damage was confirmed by the use of a behavior test and braintissue sections. The rats were randomized into model and acupuncture groups. The model group was not needled. Acupuncture groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 began to be needled at 3, 5, 7 and 14 days after birth, respectively. Acupuncture treatment was given for seven consecutive days. The normal control group was naturally delivered, not used to make a model and not needled. All groups of rats were decapitated to take the brain tissue at 21 daysafter birth. Cyt-c and Caspase-3 expressions in the cerebral cortex were detected.ResultCyt-c optical density value decreased somewhat in the four acupuncture groups; there was a statistically significant difference between acupuncture group 1 or 2 and the modelgroup (P<0.05). Caspase-3 expression was significantly down-regulated in acupuncture group 1; there was a statistically significant difference compared with the model group (P<0.05).ConclusionThe protective effect of acupuncture beginning at 3 days after birthon the brain is related to the down-regulation of Cyt-c and Caspase-3 expressions in intrauterine distress-induced HIBD rats.
