Chinese Journal of Diabetes 2006;14(1):20-22
Objective To investigate the relationship of serum uric acid(SUA) with type 2 diabetes mellitus and diabetic macrovascular complications and to study the influential factors of SUA.Methods Recruited were eighty type 2 diabetic patients(group B),ninety-two type 2 diabetic patients with coronary artery disease(group C) and one hundred and twelve healthy controls(group A) whose qualitative urine protein assay were negative.Serum concentrations of uric acid and other biochemical materials were assayed at a fasting state. The sensitivity of insulin was also evaluated.Results(1) The SUA levels in group A,B and C were(280±81)(257±76) and (302±72) mmol/L respectively;SUA in group B was lower than that in group A(P=0.037) or group C(P=0.000) and SUA in group C tended to be higher than that in group A(P=0.050).(2) SUA level significantly increased in man than in woman(P=0.001).(3) The independent influential factors of SUA were WHR(R=0.354) in man,and BMI(R=0.286) and age(R=0.623) in woman.(4) After adjusting the age, sex, distribution of body fat and serum lipid level, the logistic regression analysis of group B and C showed that hyperuricemia was the independent risk factor for diabetic macrovascular complications, and this was especially obvious in smoker or hypertensive patient. Conclusions SUA in type 2 diabetic patients is lower than that in both healthy controls and type 2 diabetic patients with coronary disease. The level and contributing factors of SUA are different between men and women.
5.Quality Standard of Qiwei Kangti Powders
China Pharmacy 1991;0(03):-
OBJECTIVE:To establish the quality standard for Qiwei kangti powders.METHODS:Radix Astragali,Angelica sinensis,Salvia miltiorrhiza were identified by TLC.The content of tanshinone Ⅱ A(the chief content in Salvia milti-orrhiza) was determined by HPLC.RESULTS:The TLC spots developed were fairly specific.Tanshinone Ⅱ A showed a good linear relationship at a range of 5.44~32.64 ?g?mL-1(r=0.999 8),and its average recovery was 99.54%(RSD=0.955%,n=9).CONCLUSION:The established quality standard is applicable for the quality control of Qiwei kangti powders.
6.Inflammatory response in cardiac remodeling after myocardial infarction
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2017;37(6):830-835
The remodeling and reparative process post myocardial infarction (MI) can be divided into three phases:the inflammatory phase, the proliferative phase and the stable phase. The inflammatory immune response plays an important part in the process of cardiac remodeling.First of all,the initiation of inflammatory response relies on the activation of innate immunity with a group of pro-inflammatory cytokines, chemokines and adhesion molecules. These molecules lead to the infiltration of the infarct area with neutrophils and mononuclear cells, further clearing the wound from dead cardiomyocytes and matrix debris. After resolution of inflammatory response, reparative cells and cytokines infiltrate into the heart and promote the differentiation and growth of myofibroblasts and endothelial cells, contributing to wound contraction as well as producing fiber tissue to form a scar. Moreover, overactive immune responses could accentuate infarct injury and dilative remodeling while deficiency of inflammation leads to insufficient repair, which highlights the dual function of the immune response in myocardial injury and repair post MI.Also the intense immune response along with fibrosis in non-infarct area is also closely associated with adverse remodeling. Thus, targeting specific factors in the inflammatory reaction may hold promise in patients with MI.

Chinese Journal of Clinical and Experimental Pathology 2010;(1):45-47
Purpose To study the diagnostic value of imprint cytology and to improve the accuracy of the rapid diagnosis of sentinel lymph node (SLN) during the operation of breast cancer. Methods 169 SLNs during 67 operations of breast cancer were detected by both frozen section and imprint cytology, and the results were compared with the histopathological diagnosis of permanent sections. Results Of 169 SLNs, 163 cases were diagnosed correctly with frozen section (163/169, 96.45%); 162 cases were diagnosed correctly with imprint cytology (162/169,95.86%);and 166 cases were diagnosed correctly by combination of imprint cytology and frozen section (166/169,98.22%).Conclusions Combination of imprint cytology and frozen section could increase the accuracy of the rapid diagnosis of SLN in breast cancinoma operation.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(30):4863-4867
BACKGROUND:Compared with single or composite biomolecular materials, decellulazied matrices are more biomimetic to natural ectocytic surroundings. So cel-secreted extracellular matrix is paid more and more attention in the field of tissue engineering, and the composition of these matrices are influenced by decellulezired preparation methods more or less. But there are few studies about the biological effect of different decellulazried methods on the extracellular matrix. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the composition of cel-secreted extracellular matrices in vitro by different decellularizing methods and their effects as surface modification on cytobiological reaction. METHODS:After the treatment of different decellularizing methods (freeze/thaw cycles, trypsin, weak alkal, detergents), the extracellular matrix was obtained and grouped into four kinds. The biological composition of the extracellular matrix was determined by ELISA assay. Then osteoblasts were seeded onto the four kinds of extracellular matrix surfaces. cells cultured normal y served as controls. The effect of extracellular matrix coatings on cellgrowth and differentiation were determined by MTT test and alkaline phosphatase activity test. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The residual components were the most in the freeze-thaw group, fol owed by the detergent and weak alkal groups, and the least in the trypsin group. Compared with the control group, the absorbance value of cells were lower in the freeze-thaw and detergent groups at days 3, 5, 7 after inoculation (both P<0.05);the alkaline phosphatase activity was lower in the trypsin group at days 5, 7 after inoculation (P<0.05), in the weak alkal group at 7 days after inoculation (P<0.05), and in the detergent group at days 3, 5, 7 after inoculation (P<0.05). Therefore, we can harvest more extracellular matrices by the freeze-thaw method, and the extracellular matrix coating synthesized by the freeze-thaw method is more helpful for cellgrowth than others.
