OBJECTIVE: To study the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), integrin alphavbeta3, and tissue factor (TF) in choroidal neovascularization (CNV). METHODS: CNV was induced in 25 Brown Norway (BN) rats by diode laser with 532 nm wave length. In every BN rat, one eye was induced to produce CNV, and the other eye served as the normal control eye. Fundus photography and fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) were performed just before euthanasia on 3, 7, 14, 21, and 28 d after laser photocoagulation. The retina was processed for histopathology and immunohistochemical analysis to detect the expressions of VEGF, integrin alphavbeta3, and TF. RESULTS: There was no CNV, no expression of intergrin alphavbeta3 and TF in the normal control eyes. Only a few VEGFs were expressed in the ganglion cell layer of the retina, inner nuclear layer, retinal pigment epithelium, and vascular endothelial cell of the retina and choroid in normal eyes. FFA revealed disc-like leakage of fluorescein 7 days after the photo-coagulation, meaning there was CNV. VEGF, intergrin alphavbeta3, and TF were all expressed in the ganglion cell layer of the retina, inner nuclear layer, retinal pigment epithelium, and vascular endothelial cell of the retina and choroids 3 days after the photo-coagulation. With the development of CNV, expressions of integrin alphavbeta3, VEGF, and TF were gradually increasing (P<0.01). The expression of integrin alphavbeta3 in the retina was at peak on 7th day, VEGF on 14th day, and TF on 21st day. CONCLUSION Expressions of VEGF, integrin alphavbeta3, and TF in CNV were found at the early, middle and late stage of CNV formation. It is important to determine the time of anti-neovascularization.

Objective To investigate the expression of Scinderin(SCIN myoprotein) in breast cancer tissues and adjacent tissues,and to explore the relationship between the expression of Scinderin and different molecular subtypes of breast cancer as well as the clinical factors.Methods Immunohistochemical staining method was used to detect the expression of SCIN in 120 cases of breast carcinoma and 30 adjacent tissues.The relation between SCIN expression in breast cancer tissue and molecular subtypes,pathologic stage,age,tumor size,lymph node metastasis was analyzed.Results SCIN expression level in breast cancer tissue was lower than in the tissues adjacent to carcinoma (6.06±3.32 vs 7.77±3.32,P＜0.05).SCIN expression was associated with breast cancer molecular subtypes (P＜0.05),and it was irrelevant with age,tumor size,histological grade,lymph node metastasis,or clinical stage (P＞0.05).Conclusions The expression of SCIN in breast cancer tissues was lower than in the adjacent tissues.It is associated with breast cancer molecular subtypes.SCIN could become the protein markers of breast cancer molecular targeted therapy.

Objective? To investigate the hope level of elderly patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty (THA) and analyze its influencing factors, so as to provide evidence for improving the hope level and quality of life of patients after THA. Methods? A cluster random sampling method was used to select 308 patients with bilateral THA for the first time who were admitted to two ClassⅢ Grade A general hospitals in Harbin from January 2017 to July 2018. Questionnaire surveys were conducted using Herth Hope Scale, the Second Edition of Beck Depression Scale and Social Support Scale. Results? The total score of hope level in elderly THA patients was (29.96±8.72). Among them, 76.62% (236/308) had moderate to high level of hope and the total score of depression was (19.20±11.75) which was at a moderate level. There were significant differences in the hope level of patients with different gender, place of residence, educational level, marital status and family per capita monthly income (P＜ 0.05). The results of multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that age, sex, family income per capita, depression, negative coping style, subjective support and objective support were the influencing factors of elderly THA patients' hope level (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusions? The THA patients' hope are at a medium level. Medical staff should pay attention to the relevant factors affecting the level of hope, adopt targeted nursing intervention measures, give psychological guidance to patients, provide social support, and further improve the level of hope of the THA patients.
