With the boom of modern science and technology, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has hardly converged on the surge. As a result, modern Chinese medicine has to press ahead with the reform and innovation of informatization for better inheritence and promotion of the essential of Chinese culture. In July,2012,the State Traditional Chinese Medicine Administration published the Twelfth Five Year Plan for Traditional Chinese Medicine Informatization Construction, pointing out a new direction for the practitioners and institutions of Chinese medicine and bringing them both opportunities and challenges.Modern Chinese medicine should be more concerned with the integration of advanced information technology, mathematics, physics and other related disciplines for its pioneering innovation in the specific applications, such as the TCM objective treatments, informatization construction and education in TCM,and Chinese medicine database and digital publishing modes.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of standardized seton therapy combined with the counterparts drainage improved surgical approach on the treatment of high anal fistula, and to form the technical specifications and application programs. Methods 120 patients of high anal fistula (simple and complex) from three centers were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group,60 cases in each group.SPSS 16.0 was used to make a statistical analysis on actual enrolled patients, fall off and excluded patients.Demographics, distribution of cases and baseline data were also compared between the two groups to determine the efficacy and safety. The treatment group was treated with a modified hanging line with their counterpart drainage; while the control group was treated with traditional low cut high hanging line method. The length of healing time, hung off times, healing time, postoperative pain, anal and manometry were observed in both groups. Results Among 120 cases,118 eases were effective and 2 eases excluded off Healing time of the treatment group (29.87±3.93)d was less than the control group(35.32±8.61)d,P<0.05.Hang off time of the treatment group (13.73±3.15)d was less than the control group (14.98±6.84) d,P<0.05.Although the postoperative pain scores of the treatment group was lower than the control group, but with not statistical significance.Anal manometry was within the normal range, and anal function was not affected. Conclusion The quantitative hung up with the improved counterparts drainage surgical methods were safe and effective in the treatment of high anal fistula.

Objective To explore the correlation of constipation and aging,by detecting age-related indi-ces of rat constipation model. Methods The rats were fed with Rhubarb powder, then the shape, color, weight and number of feces and the intestinal transport function within 24 h were measured to confirm the successful model. The serum SOD,thymus index and spleen index, and the expression of klotho protein in the hippocampus were compared between the healthy rats and the model rats. Results Compared with the healthy rats, the weight and number of feces of model rats within 24 h,percentages of the intestinal propulsion of activated carbon, the level of serum SOD,thymus index, and klotho protein expression in the hippocampus,as well as the optical density of the klotho target protein and klothoβctin, all declined significantly(P <0.01 or P <0.05).Conclusion Laxative-induced constipation has a certain correla-tion with aging, but its mechanism should be done.

Objective? To explore the clinical effects of traditional Chinese medicine at the acupoint on gastrointestinal function recovery after abdominal surgery. Methods? Totally 84 patients receiving laparoscopy were divided into the observation group (n=42) and the control group (n=42) using randomized, double-blinded and placebo controls. Patients in the observation group received traditional Chinese medicine at the acupoint, while patients in the control group received placebo. Both groups were observed continuously for 3 days. Time of postoperative borborygmus recovery, time of first exhaust, and time of first defecation were compared between the two groups postoperatively, and safety evaluation was performed. Results? The time of borborygmus recovery of the observation group was 15.5 (13-22) h, and the time of first defecation was 45.5 (29-62) h, both lower than those of the control group (Z=2.40, 2.05; P< 0.05). The time of first exhaust of the control group was 18 (15-27) h, and there was no statistically significant difference as compared with the observation group (Z=1.96,P=0.05). Neither group showed adverse effects on local skin after the use of traditional Chinese medicine. Conclusions? Traditional Chinese medicine at the acupoint can promote gastrointestinal function recovery after abdominal surgery, which is simple, easy, cheap and effective and is worth promoting in clinical practice.
