Objective The diffferences of the cardiovasular transverse between sea-level and high altitude residents was analysed, by measuring thoracic great vessels diameter with CT scanning .Methods 100 cases residents of high altitude and 100 cases sea-level residents were scaned by CT in lung, and the cardiovascular and pulmonary arterial diameter were measured .Results In high altitude groupe the average transverse diameter(ATD) of aortic arch was (2.59?0.30)cm but in control groupe, ATD was (2.73?0.40)cm. The ATD of right pulmonary veins in high altitude was (1.00?0.30)cm but that of control was(1.19?0.34)cm. The ATD of left subpulmonary arteries in high altitude groupe was (1.30?0.28)cm and that of control was (1.2?0.43)cm.Conclusion The transverse diameter(TD)of pulmonary arteries was larger than those of the control . The TD of great arteries of systemic circuit and pulmonary veins were larger in sea-level residents than those of residents of high altitude.

BACKGROUND:Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s transplantation can inhibit experimental emphysema inflammatory reaction and apoptosis, and has been experimental y confirmed to treat severe lung function impairment. OBJECTIVE:To explore the inhibitory effects of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s transplantation via different ways on inflammatory reaction and apoptosis due to experimental emphysema. METHODS:Female Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group, intravenous group and endotracheal group fol owing model establishment using fumigation plus intratracheal instil ation of porcine pancreatic elastase. In the latter two groups, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s from male rats were injected via the tail vein and the trachea, respectively. In the control group, rats were given PBS via he tail vein and trachea. At 14 days after transplantation, pathological changes of rat lung tissues were observed, cel apoptotic index in alveolar wal cel s and tumor necrosis factorαlevel in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid were detected. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Compared with the control group, in the intravenous and endotracheal groups, the pathological changes of lung tissues were relieved, tumor necrosis factorαlevel and apoptosis index were reduced significantly (P<0.01);but there were no differences between the intravenous and endotracheal groups (P>0.05). These findings indicate that bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s transplantation via the tail vein and trachea both can exert obvious therapeutic effects on emphysema. Moreover, cel transplantation via the tail vein is more convenient and easier than that via the trachea in the treatment of emphysema.

BACKGROUND:Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells transplantation can change the surrounding microenvironment through paracrine mechanisms, and can be employed for treatment of serious damage to lung function through the promotion of angiogenesis, inhibition of apoptosis and maintaining functional stability of autonomic nervous system. OBJECTIVE:To observe the inflammatory reaction in experimental emphysema and inhibition of apoptosis through bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells transplantation.
METHODS:Twenty-four Wistar female rats were randomly divided into three groups:healthy control group, model group and experimental group. In the latter two groups, smoking and endotracheal instil ation of porcine pancreatic elastase were performed to establish emphysema models. After modeling, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells were injected via tail vein in the experimental group. Pathological changes of the lung, the level of tumor necrosis factor-alpha and cellnumber in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid as wel as apoptotic index in lveolar wal s were detected after celltransplantation.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:In the model and experimental groups, pathological changes of lung tissues were observed to different extent. The lung pathological changes were slighter in the experimental group than the model group (P<0.01). The level of tumor necrosis factor-alpha and apoptotic index in lung tissue were lower in the experimental group than the model group (P<0.01). These findings indicate that bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells can improve emphysema pathological y through inhibition of inflammatory response and apoptosis in experimental emphysema.

Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2018;41(8):589-595
Objective:
To evaluate the ability of matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF MS) in the homology analysis of Carbapenems-resistant klebsiella pneumonia.
Methods:
Twenty-one non-duplicated strains of Carbapenems-resistant klebsiella pneumoniae were isolated from Shandong Provincial Hospital affiliated to Shandong University during April 2011 and October 2013 in this study. Twenty isolates were from neonatal unit and one from cardiac surgery. The homology analysis of Carbapenems-resistant klebsiella pneumoniae was performed with pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE), multilocus sequence typing (MLST) and MALDI-TOF MS respectively.
Results:
The result of PFGE was consistent with MLST. The twenty-one CRKPN strains were divided into three groups by MALDI-TOF MS according to their relationship, 18 of them belonged to II group, and the homology was higher than 75%. From the analysis of protein mass spectra of 18 strains, the protein peaks were roughly the same. Thus, it was concluded that their relationship was close, and the results were basically consistent with the results of PFGE and MLST. The H13 strain with low homology (<60%) was different from the above strains, especially in the molecular weight 4365, 5381 and 6289.The PFGE analysis showed that the homology between H13 and other strains was 61%, and the MLST classification result was ST54.
Conclusions
MALDI-TOF MS can be used to identify CRKPN accurately and analyze its homology analysis more conveniently than other methods in clinical laboratory. MALDI-TOF MS has the potential to be used as an easy and rapid epidemiology typing tool for nosocomial infection investigation caused by drug-resistant bacteria.(

Objective To compare effect of swaddle bathing and tub bathing on neonatal behavior state, and improve the safety and comfort of newborn infants. Methods This was a prospective non-randomized control study. From February 2016 to September 2017, a total of 110 neonates were divided into swaddle bathing group or tub bathing group, each group including 55 cases. Neonates in swaddle bathing group received swaddle bathing after discharge, while neonates in tub bathing group received tub bathing. Behavior state in the process of bathing and temperature before and after bathing were compared. Results In swaddle bathing group, 85.5% (47/55) of neonates kept quiet during the bathing process, which was significantly higher than 56.4%(31/55) in the tub bathing group (χ2=11.282, P<0.01). 30.9%(17/55) of neonates in swaddle group were crying, significantly lower than 50.9% (28/55) in tub bathing group (χ2=4.550, P<0.05). Duration of neonatal grasp reflex, crying time (seconds), and neonatal body temperature after bathing was (2.3±0.4) points,2(0,7)s and (36.49±0.02)℃in swaddle bathing group, and (7.9±0.5) points, 6 (5,10) s and (36.38±0.03)℃in tub bathing group, and the difference was significant(t=4.366, 2.910, Z=3.534, P<0.01). Conclusions Swaddle bathing can promote neonatal behavior state in the process of bathing and reduce neonatal the feeling of fear. Moreover, it could help keep warm more effectively.
