Orthogonal design was used to study the extraction technology of Qingyan Xiehuo Granule. The solvent volumn, extracting time, extracting times and smashing degree (only for Fructus Canarii) were treated as the factors and examined at various levels. The extraction technology for Folium Polygoni tinctorii and Radix Scutellariae was determined. The methonal extract absorption (at 310nm) of the dried water extract of Folium Polygoni tinctorii and the content of Baicalin were used as the criteria.

Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(08):-
AIM: To investigate the adsorptive and separative properties of 5 kinds of macroporous adsorbing resins to the total saponins and alkaloids, which treated atrophic gastritis with Sanqi Qilian Decoction (Radix et Rhizoma Notoginseng, Radix Astragali, Rhizoma Coptidis.) METHODS: The adsorption capacities, contents and recoveries of the total saponins and alkaloids were selected as the evaluating quotas. The determination of the contents of the total saponins and alkaloids and the investigation into leakage and elution curve were completed with UV-VIS spectrophotometric method. RESULTS: AB-8 resin had the best adsorptive and separative properties to the total saponins and alkaloids in Sanqi Qilian Decoction. The applicable technology was as follows: the concentration of original solution of the extract of Sanqi Qilian Decoction was 40 mg/mL; the largest adsorption capacities on resin to the total saponins and alkaloids were 5.28 mg/mL and 12.38 mg/mL respectively; the eluant was 50% ethanol with 8 times of resin volume, and the elution velocity was 2 mL/min. AB-8 resin could be used for 4 times repeatedly after being reproducted by 95% ethanol and 1 mol/L NaOH. CONCLUSION: Under the process condition which had been selected above, AB-8 resin can be used successfully to adsorb and separate with over 20% of the content of the total saponins Sanqi Qilian Decoction, and 30% of the content of the total alkaloids in the 50% ethanol eluate, and with over 75% of total saponins recovery and 65% of total alkaloids recovery respectively.

Objective To determine the contents of four fiavonoids(trifolirhizin,nor-kurarinone,xanthonumal and kuraridin)in 25 samples of Sophora flavescens Air.in the market. Methods The determination was carried out on Phe- nomenex Luna C_(18)column(250 mm?4.6 mm,5?m),using Acetonitrile-H_2O as mobile phase,at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min and detected at the wavelength of 310 nm for trifolirhizin,294 nm for nor-kurarinone and,365 nm for xan- thonumal and kuraridin, and column temperature at 35℃.Results The contents of 4 flavonoids in 25 samples of Sophora flavescens Air.in market were in the ranges of 0.05 %~0.32 % for trifolirhizin,0.05 %~0.51% for nor- kurarinone,0.55?10~(-3)%~4.87?10~(-3)% for xanthonumal and 0.06 %~0.23 % for kuraridin. Conclusion The contents of 4 flavonoids in the samples from the market vary notably, and this should be taken into the quality control of Sophora flavescens Ait.

Objective: To study the adscription of plasma effective constituents of rat after oral administration of alkaloid fraction of Nelumbo nucifera. Methods: Based on the established HPLC analytical method of plasma effective constituents, analysis and comparison were carried out among HPLC profi les of plasma samples obtained after oral administration of alkaloid fraction of Nelumbo nucifera, blank plasma, alkaloid fraction of Nelumbo nucifera. Results: Sixteen compounds were detected under the method, three of them were architypes of compound contained in alkaloid fraction of Nelumbo nucifera, and the others were metabolites.Through the comparison of the UV spectra, seven metabolites remain essential structure because the max wavelength was same to the architypes’,the other six metabolites’ structure changed greatly. Conclusion: Through the study of the adscription of plasma effective constituents of rat after oral administration of alkaloid fraction of Nelumbo nucifera, the structure of metabolites can be conjectured, which may be helpful to study the ADME and mechanism of action.
