Objective To study the effects of methylene blue(MB), a soluble guanylate cyclase inhibitor , on intestinal perfusion and oxygenation in dogs with septic shock. Methods A septic shock model was established by lipopolysaccharide infusion. After resuscitation with normal saline infusion,2mg/kg MB was infused within 15min in seven dogs.Blood flow of the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) was measured respectively at baseline, post shock for 1h, after resuscitation and 30min after MB injection.Blood gas analysis was done , and oxygenation was calculated. Results Blood flow of the SMA was significantly decreased by 61 8%(P0 0 5 ) ,butO2 extrincreasedby 14 8% .Conclusions Septicshockindogsresultsinadecreaseinintestinalperfusionandanincreasein oxygenextraction ,whichcanbeimprovedbyMBinjection .Theintestinalperfusionispartlyincreasedbyvolumetherapy .

AIM: To explore the role of endogenous ouabain (EO) in the development of hypertension and its secretion character in 1k1c hypertensive rats(HR). METHODS: EO contents of plasma and tissues in 1k1c HR were detected by ELISA. The relationships between plasma and tissues ouabain and blood pressure were analyzed. RESULTS: EO contents of plasma, heart, kidney, adrenal gland, pituitary and hypothalamus in lklc HR were significantly higher than those of normal rats, especially in the adrenal gland and hypothalamus. EO contents of serum, kidney and hypothalamus were correlated with blood pressure. CONCLUSIONS: EO might play an important role in the development of hypertension in 1k1c hypertensive rats. Adrenal gland might be the major source of EO.

Objective To evaluate the relation of circadian blood pressure rhythm with vascular status in elderly patients with isolated systolic hypertension.MethodsAnkle-brachial index (ABI),brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV) and carotid intima-media thickness (IMT) were measured in 74 elderly patients with non-dipper hypertension (non-dipper group)、78 elderly patients with dipper hypertension ( dipper group),and 72 healthy controls ( control group). Results In comparison with the dipper group,baPWV and IMT of the non-dipper group were significantly increased [ baPWV (1801.61± 314.27) vs (1658.67±274.80) (cm/s)],P<0.01; IMT:(0.96 ±0.22) vs (0.87 +0.19) (mm),(P<0.05),while ABI of the non-dipper group was decreased (1.03 ±0.17 vs1.12 ±0.18,P<0.01).Identification rate was significantly different among 3 groups when baPWV >1400 cm/s (x2 =12.57,P <0.01) or ABI <0.9 ( x2 =9.74,P <0.01).The detection of carotid plaques was also significantly different ( x2 =16.49,P < 0.01).Conclusions These findings suggest that vascular damage could be found in elderly patients with isolated systolic hypertension, especially in those with non-dipper hypertension.ABI,baPWV and IMT measurement may be helpful for the assessment of vascular status.

Objective To study the effect of hyaluronidase and VEGF on human breast cancer invasion and metastasis. Methods By means of ELSA and immunohistochemistry, hyaluronidase and VEGF were detected in breast cancer. Results Hyaluronidase were (3.99?1.91) mU/g, (8.01?2.59) mU/g and (12.00?3.96) mU/g in gradeⅠ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ of breast cancer respectively. Hyaluronidase levels were significantly elevated in grade Ⅱ,Ⅲ as compared to grade Ⅰ, Hyaluronidase levels were significantly elevated in grade Ⅲ as compared to grade Ⅱ(P

Objective To find out the possible regularity and mechanism of the adaptable change of human being T lymphocytes for physical exercise with oxygen and bring the original data for the Movement of All People Improving their Health. Methods We selected 16 untrained female students in university and let them had the same amount of exercise for 8 weeks. After that, we collected the cycle blood at the time point of before exercise, the end of exercise and 1 hour after exercise at the end of the 0,first,2 nd,4 nd,6 nd and 8 nd week respectively, so as to determine its stimuli index (SI) by MTT method. Results In the different time sect, such as the early stage of exercise, quiet condition,as soon as the end of exercise and 1 hour after exercise, we found that the SI were obviously Iower than that of normal (P<0. 05) ,especially in the time sect of the end of exercise. Continuing to 4 weeks, the function of T lymphocytes restored gradualy and it lasted to the 8 th week, the SI in quiet condition and 1 hour after exercise had restored to normal(P>0.05),but in the end of exercise, it still was Iow,however, the extent of the cases selected was in a condition of acute excitability. Conclusion As the bodies adapting to the exercise, the function of T lymphocytes restored slowly and the rate increased faster and faster.

Objective To explore the effects of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) on motor function in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) using meta-analysis. Methods Eight comparative studies of the effects of TMS were meta-analyzed. Results The combined studies confirmed a significant difference before and after TMS treatment. Between the experimental and control groups the effect was also highly significant. Conclusion TMS may play an active role in the rehabilitation of motor function for patients with Parkinson's disease.

Objective:To establish and evaluate a newly established method of enzyme-linked immu-nosorbent assay (ELISA) for measuring human autoantibody to folate receptor (FR).Methods: Folate receptor was extracted and purified from healthy woman placenta tissues .The protein was coated on 96-well plates.Goat monoclonal antibody was used as detecting antibody to set up the indirect ELISA proce -dure.The sensitivity, precision and linearity of the method were evaluated .Further, the method was compared with the ELISA method with commercialized bovine folate binding protein ( FBP) by determi-ning autoantibody levels in 24 individuals .Results:The measuring range of the standard curve was from 6 .25 ×10 -4 to 8 ×10 -2 ( the IgG concentration of pooled plasma from healthy donors was defined as 1 ) . The lowest detectable level was 3.13 ×10 -4 .The intra-and inter-assay coefficients of variations were 2.74%-8.07% and 4.16% -8.23%, respectively.Linearity test results were considered within acceptable limits. The data from FBP-ELISA and FR-ELISA were highly correlated ( r=0.954, P <0.001);The value from FR-ELISA was higher by 14% than that from FBP-ELISA.Conclusion: The ELISA method for measuring human autoantibody IgG to folate receptor was successfully established using human FR as coating protein .The method is sensitive and repeatable and can be used in large-scale population study .
