Retinoblastoma (RB) is the most common intraocular malignant tumor in children. With advanced clinical technologies there are more and more methods available to treat retinoblastoma, and make it is possible to delivery individualized protocol combined traditional treatments with modern regimen to patients now. In order to improve the survival rate and the life quality of RB patients in China, it is very important to make a suitable system of standardized therapy based on results from developed countries and health policies of our own country.

Objective To study the extraction process of Jiejiu Gankang granules by orthogonal test.Methods With the ethanol extraction rates of the medical materials like ginseng,radix salviae miltiorrhizae,the water extraction rates of the medical materials like hawthorn,and Tanshinone ⅡA as the parameters,the extract conditions of Jiejiu Gankang granules was optimized by orthogonal design.Results The optimal preparation process was as follows:the mixture of medical materials like ginseng and Schisandra chinensis was refluxed twice with total 10 times of 70% alcohol,2.0 hours for each time,and then the mixture of medical materials like hawthorn extracted twice with total 10 times of boiling water,2.0 hours for each time.Conclusion The optimal preparation process is reasonable and with high extraction rate of active components.

OBJECTIVETo explore different regulatory effects of electroacupuncture (EA) at the same acupoint on the heart and the stomach.

METHODSEighty male SD rats were randomly divided into eight groups equally, i.e., the Neiguan (PC6) group, the Quchi (LI11) group, the Tianshu (ST25) group, the Danzhong (RN17) group, the Zusanli (ST36) group, the Sanyinjiao (SP6) group, the Xinshu (BL15) group, and the Weishu (BL21) group, 10 in each group. The regulatory effects of EA (2/15 Hz, 3 mA, 2 min) at different acupoints on the gastric motility (intragastric pressure) and the cardiac function (the left ventricular pressure) were observed. The mean values of effect of two-min pre-EA and after-EA were compared.

RESULTSCompared with the pre-EA in the same group, the left ventricular pressure decreased in the Neiguan (PC6) group, the Quchi (LI11) group, the Danzhong (RN17) group, the Sanyinjiao (SP6) group, and the Xinshu (BL15) group (P <0.05). The intragastric pressure increased in the Quchi (LI11) group, the Zusanli (ST36) group, the Sanyinjiao (SP6) group, and the Xinshu (BL15) group, while it decreased in the Tianshu (ST25) group, the Danzhong (RN17) group, and the Weishu (BL21) group (P <0.05). The difference of the left ventricular pressure was sequenced from high to low as Xinshu (BL15) >Danzhong (RN17) >Neiguan (PC6) >Sanyinjiao (SP6) >Quchi (LI11). The difference of the intragastric pressure was sequenced from high to low as Tianshu (ST25) >Weishu (BL21) > Xinshu (BL15) > Danzhong (RN17) > Zusanli (ST36) > Sanyinjiao (SP6) > Quchi (LI11).

CONCLUSIONSEA at the same acupoint (2/15 Hz, 3 mA) showed different regulatory effects on the heart and stomach. There existed some difference in the direction and size due to the acupoint location, meridians, dominant nerve segment or relating organs. A fixed effect direction to the specific target was also shown.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a HPLC method for the determination of 5-fluorouracil in human plasma METHODS:The plasma samples were extracted with ethyl acetate-isopropanol(85∶15,V/V)following precipitation of plasma proteins with ammonium sulfate The solvent was evaporated to dryness under a stream of nitrogen The dry extract was dissolved in mobile phase and then injected into the Diamonsil C18 column(150mm?4 6mm,5?m)and 0 01mol/L KH2 PO4(pH5 5) was taken as mobile phase The flow rate was 1 5ml/min,UV detection wavelength was 267nm The internal standard was 5-bromouracil RESULTS:The minimal detectable drug concentration in plasma was 0 025?g/ml The calibration curve was linear over a range from 0 3?g/ml to 10?g/ml The intra-day RSD≤5 0%(n=5) and the inter-day RSD≤11 5%(n=5) CONCLUSION:The method can be used for studying the pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of 5-fluorouracil

Objective; To evaluate the efficacy of Twin-block appliance in Class Ⅱ division 1 of adolescents. Methods: Several e-lectronic databases (PubMed, The Cochrane library, Embase, CBMdisk, CNKI, VIP)were searched. Abstract that appears to fulfill the initial selection criteria were selected by consensus and original articles were retrieved. Five Chinese journals were hand searched for possible missing articles. Randomized controlled trials(RCTs) that evaluate the efficacy of Twin-block appliance in Class Ⅱ division I adolescents without any surgical intervention or syndromic characteristics were considered. A comparable untreated control group was required to factor out normal growth changes. The quality of included studies was evaluated according to Cochrane Reviewers Handbook 4.2.6 Meta-analysis was performed by using RevMan 5.0.0 software. Results: Four RCTs including 289 patients were identified. The results of our meta-analysis showed a significant increase on SNB angle, Ar-Gn, Nasolabial angle and Labial-mental fold compared with control group(P<0.05). Whereas overjet, overbite, ANB angle and Ls-E had a significant decrease. In addition, SNA angle and Li-E didnt show statistical significant changes(P>0. 05). Conclusion; In Class II division 1 of adolescents, Twin-block appliance can effectively decrease their overjet, overbite, ANB angle, and induce anterior-posterior growth of mandible. The effect on restrain forward growth of the maxilla was unclear. More RCTs are required to evaluate the efficacy of Twin-block appliance.

Objective As there are difficult problems in surgical puncture needle cleaning and cleaning effect monitoring,we are aiming at finding some reliable solutions through relevant comparative tests. Methods Lumbar puncture needle,bone puncture needle and anesthe-sia spinal needle after clinical use,80 of each kind,were randomly collected and equally divided into the experimental group and the control group. The control group was given traditional lumen surgical instruments cleaning procedure,and the experimental group was given newly cre-ated small lumen instruments manual cleaning procedures. Magnifying glass,self-made instruments monitoring and ATP bioluminescence mo-nitoring were respectively used to verify the cleaning effect. Results All needles were monitored with magnifying glass,self-made instruments monitoring and ATP bioluminescence monitoring after cleaning,and the qualified rate were 98. 33%,97. 00% and 93. 33% respectively in the experimental group while 95. 00%,83. 33% and 78. 33% respectively in the control group. Results of self-made instruments monitoring and ATP bioluminescence monitoring showed that there was no difference between the two kinds of detection methods. Conclusion Newly created small lumen instruments manual cleaning procedures and self-made instruments monitoring were of reliable effect and strong operabili-ty in terms of puncture needle cleaning and cleaning effect monitoring,and they were worthy of further research and application.
