This paper focuses on new technologies that are practically useful for telemedicine. Three representative systems are introduced: a Digital Video Transport System (DVTS), an H.323 compatible videoconferencing system, and Vidyo. Based on some of our experiences, we highlight the advantages and disadvantages of each technology, and point out technologies that are especially targeted at doctors and technicians, so that those interested in using similar technologies can make appropriate choices and achieve their own goals depending on their specific conditions.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2009;33(3):176-178
This paper proposes a method of automatic ECG analysis and arrhythmia diagnosis for telemonitoring system. A multi-buffer technique is applied to organize dispersive ECG data. Then, according to second order derivatives of ECG signals, peaks of R waves are automatically detected. Finally, real-time heart rhythm is decided by results of R wave detection. Tests prove that the proposed method is precise, efficient and stable to be applied in real-time ECG telemonitoring system.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2007;24(6):1230-1232
According to inpatient records, data managing demand of cardiac remote monitoring network and computer, this software was designed with relative database ACCESS. Its interface, operational button and menu were designed in VBA language assistantly. Its design included collective design, amity, practicability and compatibility. Its function consisted of registering, inquiring, statisticing and printing, et al. It could be used to manage users effectively and could be helpful to exerting important action of cardiac remote monitoring network in preventing cardiac-vascular emergency ulteriorly.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2008;32(3):212-214
A mini wireless PACS has been built with the client/sever method, the smart phone is selected as an image workstation. By embedding the third party's software in the smart phone, the medical image can be viewed, listed and processed on the phone. Without changing its hardware, the system can fulfill tele-diagnosis by wireless communication.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2007;24(6):1233-1240
In this paper, we introduce the design of an electrocardiogram (ECG) collecting circuit based on distance-wireless ECG monitor. The circuit not only amplifiers the ECG signal and filter, but also automatically detects lead-fall.
