Fundic gland hyperplasia is a hyperplasia of glandular portion on epithelium of gastric fundus or body. The incidence of fundic gland hyperplasia is 1.4% in the general population. Fundic gland hyperplasia is the most common cause of multiple polyposis. Probably the most cause of fundic gland hyperplasia is a hamartomatous origin but some hyperplastic origin because of spontaneous remission. We have experienced and reported a case of atypical fundic gland hyperplasia confirmed by endoscopic mucosal resection.

Thymoma is a rare neoplasm associated with a number of autoimmune disorders and tumors. Organizing pneumonia is a reaction of the lung to various injuries. A feature of organizing pneumonia is plugs of granulation tissue within the lumens of small airways, or alveoli. Causes of organizing pneumonia include various disorders and conditions; however, thymoma with organizing pneumonia located in both lungs is very rare. We report a case of resolving organizing pneumonia after thymoma resection. Our case is the first to demonstrate that resolving organizing pneumonia can occur after thymoma resection, as has been speculated by many researchers.

Subepidermal calcified nodule, a form of calcinosis cutis, usually occurs as a solitary lesion and develops in early childhood. We report a 20-month-old boy with an unusual form of subepidermal calcified nodules on both palms and soles which were multiple and present at birth. Interestingly, his uncle had similar lesions during infancy which had shown spontaneous remission.

Acute pulmonary embolism (PE) ranges from asymptomatic to often fatal, incidentally discovered emboli to massive embolism causing immediate death. Acute PE may occur rapidly and unpredictably and may be difficult to diagnose. Mortality and complications can be reduced by prompt diagnosis and therapy. Untreated PE is associated with a mortality rate of approximately 30 percents. Most patients with PE have endogenous fibrinolysis, although it is not effective enough to prevent PE. A case of spontaneous remission of untreated acute PE has not previously been reported. Here we present a case of spontaneously resolved acute PE without any treatment.

Journal of the Korean Neurological Association 1997;15(4):915-920
Painful ophthalmoplegia is an unusual presentation of malignant lymphoma. Moreover, spontaneous remission and exacerbation of it has quite rarely been reported. We present a patient who showed spontaneous remission and exacerbation of the painful ophthalmoplegia. Brain MR imagings showed infiltrating, iso-intensity mass a, TlWl and T2WI, and strong enhancement with gadolinium on TIWI in parasellar area. Malignant lymphoma of diffuse large cell type was found in cervical lymph node biopsy.

Korean Journal of Pediatrics 2006;49(3):326-328
Chyluria is the passage of milky urine due to the leakage of lymph into the urinary tract. Chyluria occurs predominantly in adults and is rare in children. We present an unusual case in which a child with proteinuria, hematuria and milky urine was subsequently diagnosed with non-parasitic chyluria. Retrograde cystogram confirmed a lymphatico-calyceal communication. This case showed spontaneous remission. The etiology of this case was not exactly known; however, the prognosis of non-parasitic chyluria (or idiopathic chyluria) is usually very good and the treatment is mostly conservative.

8.A Case of Myasthenia Gravis.
Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1975;16(3):260-264
Myasthenia Gravis is a chronic disease characterized by excessive fatiguability of striated muscle. The illness has a tendency to exacerbation and to the periods of spontaneous remission. The auther observed a case of ocular myasthenia gravis who has gained spontaneous remission 5 years after from the onset, and reviewed the references related to this disease.

Journal of Korean Medical Science 1993;8(2):166-170
Two cases of spontaneous remission in acute promyelocytic leukemia are reported. They had precedent febrile episodes and subsequent resolution of all clinical and hematological abnormalities occurred after supportive care including administration of various antibiotics. Their remissions lasted for 12 and five months respectively, when they relapsed.

Systemic lupus erythematosus is a disease of unknown cause which involves various organs and primary involvement of urinary bladder is very rare. We experienced a case of a female patient with SLE and urologic manifestations (interstitial cystitis, hydroureters and hydronephrosis), which were resolved spontaneously without any immunosuppressive therapy. There was no significant correlation between clinical course and disease activity index.
