1.Marginal bone loss around tissue level implants in the posterior part of the mandible.

OBJECTIVETo clarify the related factors of marginal bone loss (MBL) around tissue level implants in the posterior part of the mandible.
METHODSA total of 116 tissue level implants were implanted in the mandibular posterior region of 76 patients. Patients' information, including general characteristics, implant characteristics, implant site characteristics, and prosthesis characteristics, was recorded. Their cone beam computed tomography data were measured immediately after implant placement, 3 months later, and 3 and 12 months after prosthesis loading. The measurement of MBL was conducted by One Volume Viewer software. SPSS 20.0 was used for statistic analysis.
RESULTSSmoking, cortical bone thickness (CBT), collum angle (CA), and implant local sanitation showed significant differences with body mass loss (P<0.05). No significant differences were found among sex, age, length of implant, diameter of implants, implant systems, bone height, prosthesis type, and MBL (P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe risk factors that caused MBL were smoking, thicker CBT, larger CA, and poor implant local sanitation. Among them, poor implant local sanitation had the highest correlation with MBL.

2.Establishment and application of miRNA detection method for forensic body fluid identification

Objective To establish a SYBR Green real-time PCR detection method with tissue-specific miRNAs and explore a novel approach for forensic body fluid identification. Methods The frequently reported 6 standard miRNAs were synthesized to establish a SYBR Green method, and verify with body fluid. The relative expression data for the 6 miRNAs were obtained using SYBR Green real-time PCR method in peripheral blood, menstrual blood, saliva and semen. Results The assays showed that miRNA205 permitted the unequivocal identification among different fluids. miRNA451 and miRNA144 could be used to distinguish blood from non-blood. Menstrual blood or peripheral blood could be identified through miRNA214. miRNA888 and miRNA891 was highly expressed in semen. Conclusion The results of this study indicate that miRNA SYBR Green profiling may provide a feasible and effective approach to body fluid identification for forensic casework.
3.Effect of external diaphragm pacemaker on patients with mechanical ventilation after stroke

Objective To explore the effect of external diaphragm pacemaker (EDP) in patients with mechanical ventilation after stroke. Methods One hundred patients with mechanical ventilation after stroke, admitted to our hospital from January 2014 and July 201, were assigned to a control group and an observation group (n=50) according to the willing of the patient family. All the patients received routine ICU treatment; patients from the observation group were additionally given external diaphragm pacemaker (EDP). After 30 d of treatment, the incidence of respiratory infections and percentage of total subjects of weaned, diaphragmatic excursion, duration in ICU, and duration of mechanical ventilation were compared between the two groups. Results As compared with those in the control group, the percentage of subjects of weaned and diaphragmatic excursion were significantly increased, and the duration in ICU, duration of mechanical ventilation, and incidence of respiratory infections were significantly decreased in the observation group (P<0.05). Conclusion EDP treatment may increase the percentage of subjects of weaned by improving the diaphragmatic function, which can decrease the duration of mechanical ventilation and incidence of respiratory infections in patients with mechanical ventilation after stroke.
4.Investigation of Efficacy and Mechanism of Zukamu Granules on Hypoxic Pulmonary Hypertension

Objective To explore and verify the protective and therapeutic effects and possible mechanisms of Zukamu granules on hypoxia alone and hypoxia+Su5416-induced hypoxic pulmonary hypertension(HPH)in mice.Methods Multiple databases and related literature were used to collect the active ingredients data in Zukamu granules and the HPH-related targets were predicted and obtained.The network construction and enrichment analysis were performed.The HPH mouse models were es-tablished by two-week hypoxia and four-week hypoxia+Su5416 induction,and the relevant indicators and the main pharmacodyna-mic indexes such as right ventricular pressure were tested.Masson staining was used to observe the pathological changes in lung tissues,and Western blotting was used to detect the expression levels of bax,bcl-2,PI3K,p-PI3K,eNOS,and HIF-1α in lung tis-sues.Results A total of 167 active ingredients of Zukamu granules were screened,with 179 intersecting targets with HPH,in-cluding targets like PIK3CA and HIF-1.The validation experimental results showed that Zukamu granules could significantly re-duce right ventricular systolic pressure and right ventricular hypertrophy in HPH mice,and down-regulate the expression of bcl-2 and HIF-1α and up-regulate the expression of bax,PI3K,p-PI3K and eNOS in mice lung tissues.Conclusion Zukamu gran-ules may act against HPH by modulating bax/bcl and PI3K-eNOS/HIF-1α signaling pathways.
