Legal clinic education originating in the United States, aims at educating students on legal practical skills, and plays an positive role in cultivating students' ability of integrating theory with practice and training their various practical vocational skills. The present Chinese training mode of health law specialty does not perform very well in training students' practical ability, while legal clinic education can better make up for some deficiencies. Therefore, this paper learns from the experience of American universities in their legal clinic education, such as the particular division of specialties, the development of outside-school clinics, taking pre-training seriously, and the unique evaluation mechanism. Correspondingly, we explore to construct a set of reasonable legal clinic education system in health law specialty, including the orientation of legal clinics, the double training system inside and outside school, the construction of teaching staff and the establishment of evaluation mechanism.

Objective To investigate whether there is an inhibition of the human lung cancer cell line A549 induced by the culture supernatant of Toxoplasma gondii in vitro and the mechanism of the inhibition. Methods A549 cells 5 x 10~4mL~(-1) were cultured and harvested. The cells were treated for different hours with different concentrations of Toxoplasma gondii culture supernatant (the concentrations of tachyzoites were 4×10~7mL~(-1), 8 × 10~7mL~(-1), 16 ×10~7mL~(-1) respectively). Growth inhibition rate was measured with the MTT method; Cell cycle was checked with flow cytometer. Western blot was used to detect the level of cyclinBl and cdc2 of cells. Results The culture supernatants of Toxoplasma gondii inhibited proliferation of A549 cells in a time-dose dependent manner. Cell cycle was significantly stopped at G_2/M phase by the culture supernatants with FCM technology. The culture supernatant of Toxoplasma gondii reduced the expressions of gene cyclinBl and cdc2 of A549 cells. Conclusion The culture supernatant of Toxoplasma gondii may inhibit A549 cell and arrest the cell cycle of A549 cells mainly by regulating the expression of gene cyclinBl and cdc2.

Objective To investigate the effect of IH764-3 on the leukocyte-mediated hypoxia-reoxygention injury of human brain microvascular endothelial cell (HBM VEC). Methods MTT assay was used to detect the survival of HBMVEC; gelatin zymography was used to check the activity of MMPs. The level of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in leukocyte was determined via commercially available kit, and the indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to quantify the contents of TNF-α, IL-1α, IL-2 and INF-γ in leukocyte culture medium. Results Survival of HBMVEC was impaired by hypoxia-reoxygenation, which was aggravated by supernatant of activated leukocytes but was attenuated by IH764-3. Leukocytes produced high level of MMP-9, ROS and cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1α, IL-2, IFN-γ) after hypoxia-reoxygenation, the process was inhibited by IH 764-3. Furthermore, IH764-3 could effectively reverse hypoxia-reoxygenation injury of HBMVEC with supernatant of activated leukocytes. Conclusion IH764-3 can protect HBMVEC from leukocyte-involved hypoxia-reoxygenation injury by attenuating the activation of leukocytes and inhibiting the pathogenic effects of leukocytes products.

Objective To investigate the role of protein phosphorylation in Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P.aeruginosa) strains in response to stress triggered by mouse macrophages. Methods The strong cation exchange-immobilized metal affinity chromatography (SCX-IMAC) was performed to enrich phosphopeptides. The nanoscale liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (nano LC-MS/MS) was carried out to identify and analyze phosphoproteome. Results Fourteen phosphopeptides from twelve proteins were identified within thirty-one phosphorylation sites on serine, threonine and tyrosine residues.Fifty percent of these phosphorylated proteins were membrane proteins, indicating that their phosphorylation modification was more critical for bacteria in response to the stress. In terms of biological process of Gene Ontology, these identified proteins were involved in stress response, iron transport, anaerobic respiration, response to hydrogen peroxide and signal transduction by phosphorylation, etc. Conclusion These phosphorylated proteins in P.aeruginosa strains are necessary for signal transduction and their response to harsh environment within the macrophages, such as iron limitation, hypoxia and oxidative stress. This study provides evidence for further investigation on virulence and pathogenesis of P.aeruginosa.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 2011;31(3):289-291
Objective To investigate the effect of tourniquet compression on axonal transport in sciatic nerve of rats. Methods Twenty-four 12-week old male SD rats weighing 250-300 g were randomly divided into 4groups according to the duration of tourniquet compression(n=6 each):1,2,4 and 12 h.The tourniquet was applied to the middle 1/3 of thigh. In each animal whether the left or right thigh was compressed was determined by a flip of coin. The tourniquet was released for 10 min after every hour of compression.A 3-cm segment of sciatic nerve was removed at the end of tourniquet compression(1.5 cm proximal and 1.5 cm distal to the site of compression).Immuno-histochemistry was used to measure the expression of insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1)in the sciatic nerve. The ratio of average optic density of the compressed sciatic nerve to that of control was used to estimate the degree of IGF-1 accumulation. The regression equation of the interaction between the duration of compression and accumulation of IGF-1 was analyzed. Results There was significant accumulation of IGF-1 in the sciatic nerve proximal to the compressed site. The accumulation increased with the duration of compression. There was no significant accumulation of IGF-1 in the sciatic nerve distal to the compressed site. The regression equation of the interaction between the duration of compression(X)and accumulation of IGF-1(Y)was Y=0.422X+0.887.Conclusion Tourniquet compression of sciatic nerve can inhibit axonal transport. The accumulation increases with the duration of compression.
