1.Collaborative Cross mice as a novel platform in cancer research
Chinese Journal of Comparative Medicine 2016;26(8):25-29
Cancer is a general term of a series of complex traits of the disease triggered by the body cells losing their normal regulation of excessive proliferation, which essentially is a genetic disease.Recombinant inbred strain (RI) mouse generated from one pair of founders has been widely used in traditional tumor model. However, RI has many limitations on the statistic efficiency because of the small scale and lacking of allele diversity. The Collaborative Cross (CC) was designed to generate hundreds of recombinant inbred lines by 8 divergent strains of mice.CC mice embody a tremendous amount of natural genetic variation in different sub-strains of mouse and the single nucleotide polymorphism is four times of the traditional experimental mice. The high-genetic diversity and large scale population enables CC mice simulates the differences of individual susceptibility to the pathogeny or the therapies, thus provides a better research tool and information platform for expediting discovery of genes and genes function in human complex traits diseases. This review summarizes our current knowledge of this field, including methodologic aspects, applications, challenges and limitations, and utilization for cancer research.

3.The Impact of Universal Coverage Policy on Catastrophic Health Payments in Thailand
Chinese Health Economics 2013;(10):95-97
Before 2002, the three existing basic medical security systems of Thailand covered 30% of the population, and the surplus population participated in the universal coverage(UC)policy of medical security system which promulgated in 2002. Since the implement of UC policy, it has improved the equity of medical service application and health financing, reduced Catastrophic Health Payments and low-income groups have obtained more benefits. The incidence rate of Catastrophic Health Payments decreased and the spending burden of catastrophic health expenditure in low-income groups decreased from 6.11%(2000)to 4.65%(2002).
4.Mordern treatment of myelodysplastic syndrome
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(05):-
Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) is a clonal disorders characterized by ineffective hematopoiesis, which can lead to either fatal cytopenias or acute myelogenous leukemias (AML).MDS mainly occurs in the elderly population. The current use of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for MDS patients is the only medical care, but not available for patients who are above 60 years.Recently, several new biological and chemotherapeutic agents have been used in the treatment of MDS alone or jointlly, which may result in the improvement of hematologic parameters and the prevention of disease progression.

Objective To investigate the effect of Astragalus Polysaccharide on peripheral circulation myeloid derived suppressor cells (MDSC) in lung cancer and its clinical effect. Methods 100 patients with advanced non small cell lung cancer were selected and divided into 2 groups, 50 cases in the control group treated with chemotherapy aalone, 50 cases in the experiment group received injection of Astragalus Polysaccharide on the basis of the control group, peripheral blood MDSC levels, peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets levels, serum ARG I activity, TNF-α, IL-6 levels, the clinical effect and incidence of adverse reactions were compared after the treatment. Results Compared with the control group, peripheral blood levels of MDSC (Lin-HLA DR-\CD33+\CD11b+) was lower after treatment in the experiment group , peripheral blood levels of CD3+, CD4+T lymphocytes and CD4+/CD8+ were higher, and CD8+T lymphocytes level was lower after treatment, serum levels of ARG I activity, TNF-α, IL-6 levels were lower after treatment, (P<0.05) , the total effective rate in the control group(42.0%)was lower than the experiment group(64.0%), (P<0.05), the incidence of gastrointestinal reaction(40/24), 3 ~ 4 degree of leukocyte reduction(26/12), liver function damage(19/9), renal damage(17/7) in the control group were higher than the experiment group (P<0.05). Conclusion Astragalus Polysaccharide can significantly reduce the peripheral circulation MDSC (Lin-HLA DR-\CD33+\CD11b+) level in patients with lung cancer, improve T lymphocyte immune function, inhibit the activity of serum ARG I, reduce the level of TNF-αand IL-6, effectively improve the clinical efficacy, and reduce the toxic and side effects of chemotherapy.

Objective To investigate on the students' network usage, addiction and influencing factors at a certain university and analyze its correlation with impulsive choice. Methods Multi-class sampling method was applied.1 777 students were selected from the School of Clinical Medicine,School of Nursing,School of Public Health,School of Mental Health,School of Medical Laboratory Science,Department of Stomatology,School of Pharmacy,School of Management and Department of Biology, including 1 534 medical majors, accounting for 86.3% and 243 non-medical majors, accounting for 13.7%.Results 121 students were addicted to the internet, accounting for 6.8% of the selected students, while 1 656 students were free from the internet addiction, accounting for 93.2% of the selected students.Among all the addicts,96 were from medical majors, accounting for 79.3% and 25 were from non-medical majors, accounting for 20.7%.As for the online activities, boys loved computer games while girls preferred to watch movies, listen to music and shop.At the same time, most of the junior students and non-medical majors played games online. As for the length of time, students spending 5 and more hours everyday on the internet accounted for 3.4%.As for the sites, medical majors usually used their cell-phones while non-medical majors mostly got on line at their dorms.Probably due to the boys' preference for computer games,a larger proportion of boys getting on line at school dorms and internet bars off the campus. Most of the girls chose to use their cell-phones.More junior students surferred the internet at dorms while more senior students used their cell-phones.As for the function of the medical knowledge on the prevention and treatment of internet addiction,9.8% of the students held that medical knowledge had a great effect on the prevention and treatment of internet addiction,61.5% believed in a general effect, while 28.6% of the students thought it useless. The multi-factor analysis showed that grade, home address and the communication with parents all attribute to internet addiction.Internet addiction was significantly associated with impulsiveness, and 3 dimensionality of impulsive choice (P< 0.01).Conclusion There is higher incidence of internet addiction among the junior students, students from the urban areas and those who lack communication with parents.Grade, home address and situation of communicating with parents are the important factors for internet addiction.Internet addiction is close association with impulsive choice.

Cancer is a group of heterogeneous disease caused by diverse genomic alterations in oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes .Despite recent advances in high-throughput sequencing technologies and development of targeted therapies, novel cancer drug development is limited due to the high attrition rate from clinical studies .Patient-derived xenografts ( PDX) models are generated by implanting sectioned patient tumor fragments into immunodeficient mice .PDX models retain many of the key characteristics of patients ' tumors including histology , genomic signature , cellular heterogeneity , and drug responsiveness .These models cannot only serve as a platform for co-clinical trials by enabling the integration of clinical data , genomic profiles , and drug responsiveness data to determine precisely targeted therapies , but also be applied to the development of biomarkers for drug responsiveness and personalized drug selection .This review summarizes our current knowledge of this field , including methodologic aspects , applications in drug development , challenges and limitations , and utilization for precision cancer medicine .

5 cm. Track record of average range of motion and KSS score. Results A total of 27 knees(10.23%) showed HO after TKA, which included type Ⅰ13 knees, typeⅡ8 knees, typeⅢ 6 knees. Average KSS score of typeⅢ was 83.1?1.5. It was lower than normal group(P0.05). Conclusion TypeⅢ HO after TKA impact clinic outcome. Ostephte increases the probability of HO, and NSAIDS decrease the probability. The incidence of HO have no relation with implants.
