1.Construction features and application of a new wrist-hand orthosis
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2008;12(4):791-793
AIM: To introduce a new kind of wrist-hand orthosis.METHODS: The major frame of wrist-hand orthosis is composed of dorsal carpal guard plate and carpal bracket; while, a U-shaped anterior bracket is fixed on the anterior side of the major frame. Ferrules of index finger, middle finger, fourth finger and little finger respectively connect to dorsal carpal guard plate of the major frame via elastic brace; ferrule of thumb is fixed on one side of ferrule of index finger by using steel wires; an abduct elastic sleeve is designed on the lateral dorsal carpal guard plate of ferrule of little finger by using steel wires. According to experimental demands, wrist with the palms upward or downward puts into the major frame, which is composed of dorsal carpal guard plate and carpal bracket. The hand is anterior to the major frame; ferrules are located over rolling sleeve by forward and fingers are located below the rolling sleeve by forward; ferrules are respectively rang the index, middle, fourth and little fingers; ferrule of thumb is rang the thumb. Continuously, wrist rotates based on orthopaedic demands to realize various orthopaedic functions.RESULTS: The wrist-hand orthosis is used to help the hand maintain extension after extensor tendon injury operation in order to restrict active areas of fingers and promote healing of injured side. On the other hand, this new orthosis is also used to help wrist joint and digital joint maintain flexion after extensor tendon injury operation in order to improve flexion and extension of wrist joint, enlarge active area of flexion of wrist joint, enlarge drifting active area of radialis of wrist joint, and increase muscle strength of radial flexor muscle, ulnar flexor muscle, extensor carpi radialis muscle, extensor carpi ulnaris muscle, extensor carpi ulnaris muscle, flexor carpi ulnaris muscle, extensor digitorum communis muscle, superficial flexor muscle and deep flexor muscle.CONCLUSION: The wrist-hand orthosis refers to protection of wrist and hand after operations of nerve, tendon, muscle and vessel injuries and recovery of motor dysfunction of wrist joint and digital joint induced by wrist-hand fracture; on the other hand, this new orthosis can improve active area of wrist joint and strengthen muscle force.

Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2012;19(1):91-93
Capillary leak syndrome (CLS) is a common and life-threatening disorder in children. The common pathogenies are sepsis, severe trauma, shock, asphyxia, extracorporeal circulation, ischemical reperfusion injury and so on.It is characterized by shock resulting from leakage of plasma, which is refected by accompanying hemoconcentration, hypoalbuminemia and edema, sometimes followed by multiple organ dysfunction syndrome.Clinicians should consider the diagnosis in patients with unexplained edema and hypotension. To know the pathophysiology and clinical course will be benefit to proper medicine choosen.

9.Detection of serum IL-6 in patients with esophageal carcinoma and its clinical value
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2016;23(10):1473-1475
Objective To explore the clinical significance of detecting serum interleukin (IL)-6 in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).Methods We detected the serum level of IL -6 in 35 patients with ESCC(observation group)and 35 healthy controls (control group)by double antibody sandwich enzyme -linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),and then analyzed its clinical value. Results The serum levels of IL -6 in the observation group (27.66 ±2.30)ng/L was significantly higher than (17.72 ±3.62)ng/L in the con-trol group (t =11.63,P <0.01).There was significant difference in the serum level of IL -6 in the observation group preoperation and postoperation [(27.66 ±2.30)ng/L vs (23.62 ±3.27)ng/L,t =5.12,P <0.01].The serum level of IL -6 in the observation group preoperation was relevant with clinical stages(χ2 =11.15,P <0.01).Conclusion The change of serum IL -6 level in patients with ESCC is related to the occurrence and development of ESCC,which is an important indication for diagnosis and prognosis.

China Medical Equipment 2014;(12):56-58
Objective:To investigate the false alarm rate of electrocardiogram monitor, and to develop methods to exclude interference. Methods:A total of 52 patients in emergency room in hospital in March 2014 were in the control group. The frequency and causes of false alarms of the electrocardiogram monitor were recorded. At the meantime, the improvements were analyzes. A total of 52 patients in emergency room in hospital in May 2014 were chose to be the experimental group. The frequency and causes of false alarms of the electrocardiogram monitor were recorded after some improvements. Results: In control group, the total of alarms rate were 5376 times, including 2208 times of false alarms. The false alarm rate was 41.07%. While in the experimental group, there were 2634 alarms, including 798 times of false alarms. The false alarm rate was 30.29%. Compared to the control group(x2=25.77, P<0.05). It was statistically significant difference. Conclusion:Intervention on Mindray electrocardiogram monitor can reduce the false alarm rate, help to improve the efficiency of nurses and ensure safety to patients.
