1. The efficiency and safety analysis of ibandronate at the initial loading dose for metastatic bone pain induced by non-small cell lung cancer
Tumor 2008;28(4):350-352
Objective: To evaluate the efficiency and safety of ibandronate at the initial loading dose in the treatment of metastatic bone pain (MBP) induced by non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods: Thirty cases of NSCLC patients who were admitted to our hospital from May 2006 to July 2007 were retrospectively analyzed. They received loading dose of ibandronate for MBP treatment. Ibandronate was given to the patients intravenously at initial loading dose of 6 mg for more than 15 min on 3 consecutive days. Then ibandronate was administered repeatedly at 6 mg every 3 to 4 months. The response time, pain score, QOL score, daily morphine consumption dose were recorded. The serum markers such as calcium, creatinine, alkaline phosphatase (AKP) were monitored. Results: Twenty nine cases were eligible to evaluate the efficiency and safety. Among them, the MBP of 25 cases (86.2%) were relieved. Their average response time was 2.9 ± 0.8 days. The pain score was significantly decreased after treatment and the life qualities of patients were markedly improved (P <0.001). The morphine consumption dose was reduced by about 20 to 40 mg in 4 cases after treatment. The serum calcium level increased in 7 patients before treatment and declined to the normal level after treatment. The adverse reaction was relieved after treatment and no renal toxicity was observed. Conclusion: Administration of ibandronate at initial loading dose had quick on-set and mild side effects. It could significantly relieve metastasis bone pain and improve QOL, reduce the morphine consumption dose and avoid morphine-induced adverse reaction, and effectively decrease serum calcium level. Administration of ibandronate at initial loading dose is a new promising option for treatment of the MBP in NSCLC.

Chinese Journal of Immunology 2000;0(09):-
Objective:To express human interferon-?2b gene and to explore the feasibility of expressing human gene in plant cells. Methods:The hIFN-?2b coding sequence was amplified by PCR with specific primers and plasmid pBV889 was used as a template, subcloned into middle vector pMD18-T and binary vector pBI121 to obtain plant expression vector pBIFN. The pBIFN was transformed into Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain LBA4404. Then hIFN-?2b gene was introduced into Ginseng callus cells via Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. The positive cells were screened by G418. The transgenic Ginseng calli were confirmed by PCR,RT-PCR,Western blot and WISH/VSV system. Results:Stable integration of the hIFN-?2b gene in the Ginseng callus cells′ genome was confirmed by PCR analysis. RT-PCR analysis showed that there were transcription products. Western blot implied that the given protein was hIFN-?2b. WISH/VSV system assay showed that the expressed hIFN-?2b possessed relatively lower bioactivity.Conclusion:HIFN-?2b has been expressed in transgenic Ginseng calli, which facilitates further investigation of improving the curative effect of orally administered hIFN-?2b.

BACKGROUND: At present, more and more scholars pay attention to the influence of spine and pelvis sagittal balance on the quality of life of patients. Postoperative changes in spine imaging parameters fol owing corrective osteotomy for lumbar degenerative kyphosis have not been reported. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate postoperative changes in sagittal balance fol owing corrective osteotomy for lumbar degenerative kyphosis. METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed 35 consecutive lumbar degenerative kyphosis patients treated with posterior osteotomy fixation in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from February 2012 to December 2014. Imaging parameters were measured before fixation, immediately after fixation and during final fol ow-up. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) There were significant differences between preoperative and postoperative parameters except for pelvic incidence angle (P < 0.05). (2) There were significant differences between postoperative and last fol ow-up parameters except for Cobb angle, pelvic incidence angle, thoracic kyphosis angle and the thoracolumbar kyphosis (P < 0.05). (3) Pelvic tilt angle was negatively correlated with lumbar lordosis after fixation (r=-0.610, P < 0.001). Thoracic kyphosis was positively correlated with lumbar lordosis (r=0.598, P < 0.001). (4) Results suggested that lumbar sagittal contour can be significantly improved by corrective osteotomy for lumbar degenerative kyphosis. Simultaneously, reciprocal changes in the adjacent areas such as thoracic spine and pelvis occur to adapt to the new sagittal balance.

Objective To investigate the serum level of C reactive protein(CRP) in the hypertension patients with heart function impairment. Methods 68 hypertension patients who had no,mild or severe heart function impairment were se- lected and accordingly divided into 3 groups, while 30 healthy subjects served as normal controls. The levels of HS-CRP and LVEF was measured. Results All the hypertension patients had a high CRP level than normal controls(P

Objective To observe the protective effect of goserelin on ovarian function of premenopausal patients with breast cancer during chemotherapy. Methods Forty patients with breast cancer under 40 received adjuvant chemotherapy were randomly divided intotest group(20 cases) and control group (20 cases). Compared the recovery rate and time of menstruation between two groups. Results All the 40 patients finished the treatment. Recovery ratio of normal ovarian function in test group and control group was 75% and 50% (P =0.013) respectively, and the median menstrual recovery time in two groups was 4.65 months and 6.65 months (P = 0.046) respectively. Statistically significant differences were found between two groups. Conclusion Goserelin can effectively protect ovarian function during chemotherapy , increase the ratio of normal ovarian function, shorten menstrual recovery time, and shows good tolerance.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(07):-
Oral fluid resuscitation in early period of hypovolemic shock is an important measure in the treatment of casualties in the battlefield as well as in mass casualties in lieu of the means of establishing a venous line. The main tasks in the study of oral rehydration resuscitation are the proposition of appropriate prescriptions of the liquids to be given and methods of administration on the basis of a clear elucidation of the mechanism underlying the function of the digestive system in regard to transportation and absorption of the given ingredients. The aim of the study is to fully replenish maximal amount of fluid containing glucose and electrolytes in a convenient, expeditious, and effective way in a minimal span of time, in order to increase circulating blood volume. At the same time, ischemia and tolerance to oral fluids of the gastro-intestinal tract should be improved, electrolyte imbalance and incidence of secondary infection should be alleviated, and finally hypovolemic shock is corrected, so that the victim is kept alive and prepared for further definitive surgical intervention.
9.Research and Development on Immunotherapy of Alzheimer's Disease
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(07):-
Alzheimer's disease(AD),the most common form of dementia,it is lack of effective cure or preventive treatment.Dementias in the elder are an increasing medical, social and economic problems and current treatments are only mildly effective.Recently,amyloid-beta protein(A?) has become a major therapeutic target.A? vaccine treatment can improve cognition in the patients with AD,but adverse events, such as meningencephalitis were observed in clinical study. The passive A? immunotherapy in humans is effective with possible safety. However, patients need to be monitored carefully.
