Objective To evaluate the osteogenic potential of selected exercises and determine which one has the greatest value for the elderly.Methods Twenty healthy old subjects were recruited in the study.Each subject performed the following four exercises in random order:stepping onto a 4-in riser (STEP),sit-to-stand (STS),jumping (JUMP) and marching (MARCH).The subjects performed successively each of the 4 exercises for 1 minute,with an interval of 3 minutes between each.The Vicon action capture system was used to record the peak ground reaction of the subjects during their exercises.The osteogenic index (OI) was calculated by the formula:OI=peak GRF/ (body weight×9.8) × In (number of loading cycles±1).Results JUMP and MARCH had superior OI value (7.52 ±2.06,6.51 ±1.59) than STEP (5.22 ±0.63) among the4 exercises (P＜0.05).STS was found to have the lowest OI (2.23 ± 0.42) in the elderly.There was no significant correlation between the height and OI in JUMP and MARCH (P ＞0.05).Conclusion STEP and MARCH had the higher OI value and could be deemed as the better ways to induce positive effects on bone health in the elderly population.

Neovascularization plays an essential role in the process of renovation in tissue damage,tumor growth, and hormones action. Parathyroid hormone (PTH) is one of the basic hormones that regulate the serum calcium, phosphorus, and bone metabolism. In recent years, studies involving the neovascularization-mediated effects of PTH on metabolism are becoming more and more popular and wider. Based on recent researches, the purpose of this paper is to summarize the changes of angiogenesis while PTH interacts with its target organs, especially interacts with osseous tissue.

Objective To study the effect of mesylate ropivacaine programmed intermittent epidural injection for labor analgesia. Method 100 cases of ASA I or II single cephalic term primiparae , randomly divided into epidural rules intermittent administration group (Group A) and continuous epidural infusion group (Group B), 50 cases of each group. Two groups were treated with 0.12%mesylate ropivacaine and 2 μg/mL fentanyl. The two groups were observed in different stage of labor , uterine contraction analgesic effect , mode of delivery , fetal distress and neonatal asphyxia. Result Compared with Group B, the VAS scores of women in Group A were decreased significantly and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05) after they had the labor analgesia 60min later, the mouth of the uterus opened to 5-6cm and all. There is no statistical significance in the mode of delivery and Apgar score. Conclusion Ropicacaine mesilate epidural programmed intermittent bolus are safe and effective for labor analgesia. Compared with continuous epidural infusion analgesia in labor , maternal satisfaction is higher and there is no significant adverse effects on mother and infant.

Objective To explore the association of Glu298Asp polymorphism of the endothelial nitric oxide synthase gene (eNOS) with myocardial infarction in Chinese aged people based on a case-control study. Methods Thirty-seven patients with myocardial infarction and 172 sex- and age-matched healthy control subjects were enrolled. Their height, weight and blood pressure were measured and the fasting plasma lipid concentrations were examined. Glu298Asp polymorphisms of the eNOS gene were examined using PCR and RFLP methods. Results Genotype Glu/Asp in the patient group was higher than that in the control group (32.4% vs 18.0%). The genotype composition of Glu298Asp polymorphism showed significant difference between the patient group and the control group ( =3.87, P 0.05). Among the normotensive subgroup, the allelic frequencies of 298Asp in the patient subgroup was higher than that in the control subgroup (17.5% vs 5.4%). The allelic frequencies of 298Asp had significant difference between the patient subgroup and the control subgroup ( =6.82, P

AIM:To determine notoginsenoside R_1 and ginsenoside Rg_1, Rb_1 in Zidan Huoxue Tablet by HPLC linear gradient elution (total saponins of Radix et Rhizoma Notoginseng). METHODS: Using HPLC method with Hypersil ODS2 C_ 18 column. A mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-water 0-20 min (20∶80), 20-21 min(40-20∶60-80), 21-30 min(20∶80) gradient elution. The column temperature was at room temperature. The detection wavelength was at 203 nm. RESULTS: The linear ranges of R1, Rg1, Rb1 were 0.52-2.6 ?g (r= 0.999 9 ), 2.106 -10.53 ?g (r= 0.999 6 ) and 2.946-14.73 ?g (r= 0.999 6 ), respectively. The average recoveryies were 99.3% (RSD=1.1%), 100.0%(RSD=0.5%) and 99.7%(RSD=0.9%), respectively. CONCLUSION: The method is selective and reproducible for determination of notoginsenoside R_1 and ginsenoside Rg_1, Rb_1 in Zidan Huoxue Tablet.

Objective To observe the value of drug therapy by the arterio of thigh in the treatment of osteosarcoma of the leg bones. Methods 13 cases of patients with osteosarcoma of the leg bones were treaded with DDP, ADM and VCR by the arterio of thigh, IFO by phlebo. Results The response rates(PP+CR) to osteosarcoma lesions were 69.2 %. Conclusion The comdination regimen with drug therapy by the arterio of thigh is simple and safe and effective for osteosarcoma of the leg bones, which is worth spreading and applying.

Objective To investigate the different expression pattern of Src-homology2 domain phosphatase (SHP)-1 and SHP-2 in human papiilomavirus (HPV)6/11 infected condyloma acuminatum (CA) and the significance of the difference. Methods HPV6/11 related CA cases were diagnosed by in situ hybridization. The expression and distribution of SHP-1 and SHP-2 were examined by SP immunohistochemistry technique in skin samples from 40 HPV 6/11 positive CA cases and 20 healthy control (foreskins). Results The positive rates of SHP-1 and SHP-2 were 80% and 85% respectively in CA, which were significantly higher than those in healthy control cases (only 35% and 30%, respectively, X2=11.87,P<0.01; X2 =18. 15,P<0. 01) . The SHP-1 and/or SHP-2 positive cells in CA skin lesions were mainly distributed in prickle layer, showing as brown yellow, with the positive staining located in cytoplasm. Contrastively, the SHP-1 and/or SHP-2 positive cells in healthy controls were rare and mainly distributed in basal layer, showing as pale yellow with the positive staining located in cytoplasm. There was no significant correlation between the expression of SHP-1 and SHP-2 in CA( rs = 1.0, P>0.05 ). Conclusion The expressions of SHP-1 and SHP-2 increase in HPV6/11 positive CA, which suggest that with the infection of HPV6/11, SHP-1 and SHP-2 may play a regulatory role in the proliferation of keratinocytes.

Objective To discuss influence of early rehabilitation nursing on rehabilitation effect of patients after heart valve replacement.Methods 60 patients with heart valve replacement were divided into the rehabilitation group and the control group with 30 patients in each group.The control group was given normal nursing and self-exercise ad libitum.Based upon the above,the rehabilitation group was given systemic and normative rehabilitation nursing according to programs established for each individual.The incidence of complications,guardianship time and hospitalization time were compared between the two groups.Results The incidence of complications of the patients in the rehabilitation group was much lower than the patients in the control group.And the time of the patients in the rehabilitation group in ICU and hospitalization time was shorter than the patients in the control group.Conclusions Early rehabilitation care can effectively reduce the incidence of complications after cardiac surgery,promote recovery of cardiac function,also can improve the quality of life of patients.
