Herald of Medicine 2017;36(1):65-69
Objective To establish an HPLC method to measure four flavonoids ( baicalin, wogonoside, baicalein and wogonin) in shenyan siwei granules by quantitative analysis of multi-components with single marker ( QAMS ) . Methods Agilent ZORBAX SB-C18 column(4. 6 mm × 250 mm,5 μm) was used. The mobile phase was composed with methanol and 0. 4% phosphoric acid solutionat at 1. 0 mL·min-1 flow rate with gradient elution. The detection wavelength was 278 nm. Baicalin was used as the internal reference substance. The relative correction factors ( RCF) between the baicalin and the other three flavonoids were established to detect the quantitation of baicalin and calculate the quantitation of the other three constituents. The external standard method was used for quantitating the four constituents, and the method was evaluated by comparing to the quantitative results between external standard method and QAMS method. Results The results of QAMS method had no significant difference with those of external standard method. Conclusion It is feasible and accurate to control the quality of shenyan siwei granules with QAMS.
2.ANTIBACTERIAL & CYTOTOXICITIC ACTIVITY OF AMETHYSTOIDIN A,RABDOSIA MACROPHYLLA C & THEIR DERIVATIVES
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(01):-
This article reports preliminarily the effects on the antibacterial activity & cytotoxicity of the derivatives of two diterpenoid components, Amethystoidin A & Rabdosia macrophylla C(i.e.Orido-nin ) which were isolated from the medicinal plants of Rabdosia ( Bl. ) Hassk. The experiment demonstrated that diacetate derivative of Amethystoidin A ( n ) could significantly enhance the antibacterial effect being 2 - 3 times more potent than that of Amethystoidin A. Hydrolytic derivative of Rabdosia macrophylla C (V) had a significant increase in the cytotoxicity on heptoma cell (QGY-7703 ) in vitro.

ETAN is a marine biomaterial which is made of chitosan,a partially deacetylated derivative of chitin ,and prepared by a foaming technique. The effects of absorbing exudate, stopbleeding, promoting wound healing and biological compatibility were observed in this experiment. The results showed ETAN could promote skin wound healing reduce the scab time of the wound surfaces. Skin tissue was healed quickly after ETAN was coated on wound skin surfaces, and it had marked effects of absorbing exudate, and haemostasis. Its effects were superior to that of gelatin sponge. ETAN could be fused with subcutaneous tisssue embeded subcutaneously two weeks later. The fused skin tissue was returned to normal skin tissue nearly after it was embeded four weeks . These experimental results showed ETAN had a better biological compatibility.

Objective: To analyze the expression of CMTM1-v17 in normal prostate tissue and prostate carcinoma originated cell lines, and study its impact on the transactivation of androgen receptor and the possible mechanism. Methods: The expression of CMTM1-v17 in normal prostate tissue was analyzed with immunohistochemistry method. In immounocytochemistry was used to analyze the expression of CMTM1-v17 in prostate carcinoma originated cell lines. Luciferase assay was used to study the impact of CMTM1-v17 on the transactivation of AR and its mechanism. Results: The results of immunohistochemistry showed that CMTM1-v17 was highly expressed in prostate. In prostate cancer originated cell lines, CMTM1-v17 could also be detected in prostate cancer originated cell lines PC3, Du145 and LNCaP. And the results of luciferase implied that the relative luciferase activity of the PC3 cells transfected with 1 ?g and 2 ?g pCDI-CMTM1-v17 plasmids separately were 70.8 and 34.7, compared with the control set as 100. When trichostatin A, the inhibitor for histone deacetylase, was used, the repression of androgen receptor could be recovered with trichostatin A treatment, for the relative luciferase activity of the PC3 cells transfected with 1 ?g and 2 ?g pCDI-CMTM1-v17 plasmids and treated with 100 nmol/L trichostatin A rebound to 90.9 and 86.4. Conclusion: CMTM1-v17 is highly expressed in both normal prostate and prostate carcinoma originated cell lines. It may recruit histone deacetylas to inhibit the function of androgen receptor.

Objective To establish a mouse model of acute necrotizing pancreatitis. Methods Thirty six male ICR mice were randomly divided into control group ( n =6) and experimental group ( n =30). Each of the animals in the experimental group received 7 intraperitoneal injections of caerulein (50 ?g/kg body weight) in 0.9% NaCl at hourly intervals over 6 hours. The animals in the experimental group were killed at 9,18,24,48 and 72 hours respectively after the first caerulein injection. The control animals received the same volume of 0.9% NaCl without caerulein. The animals in the control group were killed at the 18th hour after the first intraperitoneal injection. The severity of acute necrotizing pancreatitis was evaluated in terms of amylase level, pancreatic weight/body weight and the histological changes. Variance analysis was employed in the processing of these data. Results Both amylase level and pancreatic weight elevated 9 hours after the first caerulein injection, and correlated with the course of pancreatitis. The maximums of both alterations were observed at the same time point (18 hours after the first injection of caerulein). Prominent interstitial inflammation and acinar cell necrosis occurred at the 18th hour, and the histological score for pancreatitis reached a maximum ( P

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;28(23):1863-1865
OBJECTIVE:
to explore the relationship between the maxillary sinus volume and the amount of alveolar bone, and the effect of molar loss upon the maxillary sinus was further analyzed,by measuring adult maxillary sinus volume, sinus ridge distance, and calculating the gasification coefficient of maxillary sinus.
METHOD:
One hundred and ninety cases (361 maxillary sinus) with CT examinations were collected, they were divided into group A and group B, 121 cases (242 maxillary sinus) of normal subjects served as group A, 42 cases (65 maxillary sinus) with molar part off were B group, in which 31 maxillary sinus with a molar loss were group B1,22 maxillary sinus with two molar loss were B2 group,12 maxillary sinus with three molar loss (one molar remains) were B3 group, 27 cases (54 maxillary sinus) with upper teeth off were C group. Bymeasureing the maxillary sinus volume, sinus ridge distance and the size of the maxillary sinus, calculating the gasification coefficient, we analyzed the relationship between maxillary volume and sinus ridge distance, and comparatively analyzed the differences among the three groups in the size, gasification coefficient, volume of maxillary sinus and sinus ridge distance.
RESULT:
In the normal group, the volume of maxillary sinus and sinus ridge distance had a correlation coefficient of -0. 63,(P< 0.05); Sinus ridge distance in group A was larger than the other two groups (P<0.05), and larger in B group than in C group (P<0. 05), anteroposterior maxillary sinus diameter and reft-right diameter in C group was greater than in A group and B group(P<0.05), group C gasification coeffiecent was less than A group and B group (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSION
The volume of maxillary sinus is negatively correlated with the amont of alveolar bone; Upper teeth's shedding promotes maxillary sinus deformation; Maxiuary sinus volume has a tendency to decrease.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2009;8(4):264-266
Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the protein expression of Snail in 5 specimens jusxta-eancerous normal breast tissues, 35 specimens of cancerous tissues without metastasis and 20 specimens of breast carcinoma with lymphonode metastasis. Breast carcinoma cell line MDA-MB-231 was transfected with antisense Snail. Results showed that the expression of Snail protein was significantly higher in breast carcinomas than in their normal tissues. The mRNA and protein expressions of Snail in the breast carcinoma cells treated with antisense Snail was significantly decreased while the E-cadherin protein significantly increased (both P < 0.05). The number of invasive ceils treated with antisense Snail was (10.5±1.3)%, while in treated with EGFP was (68.2±2.1)% (P < 0.05). The abnormal expression of Snail contribute to the invasiveness of breast carcinoma. The antisense Snail could prevent the cells ability to invade in vitro, and the effect is related with the up-regulated E-cadherin protein.
