Objective To introduce practice efficacy and achievement of medical waste management project in medical institutions. Methods Twenty pilot medical institutions in 6 provinces and 1 520 extended medical institutions in each provinces (municipality, city) in China were selected to perform medical waste management project, the current situation of medical waste management in China was explored to develop a new feasibility plan and practice.ResultsCatalogue of medical waste classification (revised manuscript) and Medical waste classification collection list) were formulated, which enhanced supervision ability of medical and health administration on medical waste management.Medical waste management training system was established, best available techniques/best environmental practices(BAT/BEP)for medical waste management were achieved, cooperation and promotion ability of medical waste management project was strengthened. Conclusion Medical waste management project has made great achievements since it is implemented in medical institutions, the achievement can be used as reference for medical waste management in China.
2.EMR-based evaluation of medical care quality: status quo and trends
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2018;34(7):560-563
An introduction is made to the experiences and trends of EMR-based evaluation of medical care quality in developed countries. The authors held that electronic medical records(EMR)are key technical means and supporting tool for medical care quality management, and quality data source for such evaluation. They recommended that China adapt to international standards in the design and choice of evaluation indicators of medical care quality and engage in international comparisons; integrate various data collection modalities to minimize workload of hospitals in data reporting, and keep elevating hospitals′informationization competence centering on electronic medical records.

Objective To evaluate the cancer risk among the inhabitants around a certain nuclear facility of Gansu Province after operation for nearly 50 years. Methods Specially developed forms were filled by countryside doctors in the villages 30 km on the leeward or at the lower reaches of Yumen City,Gansu Province where a nuclear facility had operated for nearly 50 years,to register the relevant data of those who died of solid cancer and leukemia during the period from 1 January 2004 to 31 December 2008 based on the relevant data and household survey.A town 90 km away from the nuclear facility with 4181 people were regarded as control area. Results The crude mortality and standardized mortality rate(SMR) of cancer were 95.51×10-5 and 93.56×10-5.respectively.The crude mortality and SMR of leukemia were 2.44×10-05 and 2.22×10-05, respectively.and the crude mortality and SMR of cancer were 106.88×10-05, and 89.31×10-5, respectively. The crude mortality and SMR of leukemia were 2.44×10-05 and 2.22×10-5, respectively in the investigated area, and the crude mortality of leukemia was 3.56×10-5 (only one leukemia cage died)in the control area in the same time. The cancer and leukemia mortality rates of the investigated area were similar to those of control area. Conclusions Nuclear facility does not significantly increase the cancer mortality among the residents living nearby.

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the anti-proliferative and apoptotic effects of tetramethypyrazine(TMP)on HepG2 and to elucidate the underlying mechanisms. CCK-8 was introduced to analyze the HepG2 cells proliferation. Cell apoptosis, mitochondrial membrane potential(ΔΨm)and cytochrome C were measured by high content screening(HCS). Cleaved-caspases protein expression was detected by Western blot. CCK-8 assay indicated that TMP significantly inhibited HepG2 cells proliferation in dose-dependent manner compared with the control group. Moreover, it was found that TMP could also induce HepG2 cell apoptosis, directly increase the release of cytochrome C, decrease ΔΨm and increase cleaved-caspase-3 and cleaved-caspase-9 protein expression. TMP may inhibit cell proliferation and induce cell apoptosis by stimulating the mitochondrial pathway apoptosis in HepG2 cells.
