The dynamic changes of germination percentage, germination potential, thousand-seed weight, antioxidase activity in Desmodium styracifolium seeds with different storage time were tested, and electrical conductivity, contents of soluble sugar, soluble protein, starch in seed leach liquor were also determined in order to reveal the mechanism of seed deterioration. The results as the following. (1) The germination percentage, germination potential and thousand-seed weight of D. styracifolium seeds declined, while the seed coat color darkened with the extension of storage time. (2) The activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD) decreased with the prolongation of storage period. The SOD activity declined fastest in 1,095-1,185 d of storage, while the POD activity declined significantly in 365-395 d of storage. (3) The electrical conductivity and the contents of soluble sugar, starch in seed leach liquor increased, while the content of soluble protein declined with the extension of storage time. (4) Correlation analysis indicated that the germination percentage, germination potential and thousand-seed weight of D. styracifolium seeds have a significantly positive correlation with SOD and POD activity, while have a significantly negative correlation with the electrical conductivity, contents of soluble sugar and starch. It can be concluded that during the storage of D. styracifolium seeds, physiological and biochemical changes including decrease in antioxidase activity, rise in electrical conductivity, degradation effluent of soluble sugar and starch, degradation of soluble protein were the main factors leading to the seed deterioration.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of the Governor Vessel-unblocking and mind-regulating acupuncture method plus repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) in the treatment of post-stroke insomnia. Methods: A total of 72 patients with post-stroke insomnia were randomly divided into 2 groups, with 36 cases in each group. The control group received rTMS treatment with a frequency of 1 Hz and a motion threshold value of 90%. The observation group received acupuncture with Governor Vessel-unblocking and mind-regulating method based on the rTMS treatment of the control group. The points were Baihui (GV 20), Shenting (GV 24), Yintang (GV 29), Fengfu (GV 16), Sishencong (EX-HN 1), Shenmen (HT 7), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Shenmai (BL 62) and Zhaohai (KI 6). The treatment was performed once a day for 5 d a week followed by 2 d of rest for 4 weeks. The improvements of Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI), self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) scores were observed after treatment, and the clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups. Results: After 4 weeks of treatment, the PSQI, SAS, and SDS scores of the two groups were all reduced, and the intra-group differences were statistically significant (all P<0.001). After treatment, the three scores in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P<0.05, P<0.05, P<0.001). There was a statistically significant difference between the observation group and the control group comparing the clinical efficacy (P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapeutic effect of the Governor Vessel-unblocking and mind-regulating acupuncture method plus rTMS in treating post-stroke insomnia is better than rTMS alone, and it can better improve the anxiety and depression of patients.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the efficacy and safety of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) combined cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) for refractory heart failure secondary to ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM).
METHODSPCI and CRT were performed in 7 ICM patients confirmed by angiography with NYHA class IV, QRS duration >/= 130 ms in 6 of them, III degrees AVB in 1 patient, fast ventricular heart rate Af in 1 patient, ventricular fibrillation history in 2 patient. All of them had their LVEDD >/= 55 mm, and LVEF = 0.40 detected by UCG. PCI was performed first in 5 patients, and their follow-up angiography showed no restenosis 6 months after PCI, then CRT was given. CRT was performed first in 2 patients and 2 weeks later PCI was combined.
RESULTSThe procedures of PCI and CRT were performed successfully in all patients. Five patients received right atrial and biventricular pacing, one patient with Af received biventricular pacing and atrial-ventricular node radiofrequency ablation at the same procedure, and the another one patient received CRTD. One out of seven patients died of re-AMI 4 months after the combination therapy, and the other 6 patients had been alive 5 - 41 (23.2 +/- 13.8) months during the follow-up period. The heart function of the 7 patients had further improved after PCI and CRT combined therapy compared to that of PCI or CRT only. Their NYHA class decreased from IV to II, 6-minute walking distance increased steadily, and mitral regurgitation reduced and QRS duration shortened significantly. The LVEDD decreased and LVEF increased significantly in 2 patients without ventricular aneurysm, and slight improvement or no change were in the other 5 patients.
CONCLUSIONFor patients with refractory heart failure secondary to ICM, the combination of PCI and CRT could obviously improve their heart function, quality of life and prognosis, which also very safe in perforation.

Chinese Journal of Hematology 2007;28(7):478-483
OBJECTIVETo investigate the biological difference of clonal cells between myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
METHODBone marrow (BM) clonal cells (which had cytogenetic markers detected by FISH assay) and blasts were quantitatively analysed in 51 MDS and 11 AML patients. The clonal cell percentage in orthochromatic normoblasts, granulocytes and megakaryocytes were assayed. The biological functions for phagocytosis and oxidation of MDS peripheral blood (PB) neutrophils were compared with that of normal controls.
RESULTSAlmost all MDS patients BM had a higher clonal cell percentage (mean 48.2%) than blasts percentage (mean 6.7%) (P < 0.01), but with the subtype of MDS advancing this percentage gap was closing up, and in 11 AML patients no such gap was observed. This gap in MDS patients with + 8 abnormality was smaller than in those with 5q -. In MDS BM, clonal cells were detected in segmented granulocytes (mean 45.9%), orthochromatic normoblasts (mean 46.0%) and mature megakaryocytes (mean 38.0%). In Addition, an approximate amount of clonal cells with the same karyotype abnormality in BM were detected in MDS PB (mean 37.3% in blood vs 48.6% in marrow). Functional analysis showed that the neutrophils in MDS PB could exert nearly normal physiological functions (P > 0.05), but those from AML could not as compared to healthy donors (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONThere is a significant difference in the biological features between MDS and AML clonal cells.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the clinical value of submucosal tunneling endoscopic resection(STER) for gastric submucosal tumor(SMT) originating from the muscularis propria (MP) layer.
METHODSClinicopathological data of 23 cases with gastric SMT originating from the MP layer treated with STER from September 2010 to December 2011 were analyzed retrospectively.
RESULTSThere were 13 males and 10 females. The age ranged from 28 to 73(mean, 52.4) years old. Of the 23 SMTs, 11 were located in the cardia adjacent to the gastric body, 4 in the cardia adjacent to the fundus, 5 in the lesser curvature of gastric body and 3 in the gastric antrum of greater curvature. All the SMTs originating from the MP layer, 14 were located in the superficial MP layer and 9 in the deep MP layer(including 5 gastric SMTs close to serosa). En bloc STER was performed successfully in all the patients. The mean lesion size was 2.1 cm(range 1.5-3.2 cm). The mean procedure time was 54.8 min(range 30-125 min). Pathological examination showed that the lesions were leiomyomas(n=10), stromal tumors(n=8), glomus tumor(n=2), Schwannoma(n=2), and calcifying fibrous tumor(n=1). Both lateral and vertical margins were negative in all the cases. Three patients developed pneumothorax and subcutaneous emphysema and 5 pneumoperitoneum. One patient developed effusion under the left half of the diaphragm and secondary infection. All of them recovered uneventfully after conservative treatments. No delayed bleeding or GI tract leakage was noticed. None of the 23 cases encountered submucosal hematoma or infection. No tumor residual or recurrence was found during the follow up(range, 3-18 months).
CONCLUSIONSSTER is a safe, effective for appropriate lesions in the MP layer of the stomach. En bloc resection and accurate histopathological evaluations can be achieved.

Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology 2017;25(12):664-670
Objective The left ventricular myocardial strain of acute myocardial infarction on cardiac magnetic resonance cine imaging was measured by feature tracking technique. The relationship between left ventricular myocardial strain and the transmural extent of Myocardial Infarction was evaluated. Methods 74 patients with acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction were included. All theses patients received primary PCI within 12 hours. After 2 to 5 days. ECG gated steady-state free precession sequences were collected. Gadolinium contrast enhanced imaging was performed on short axis. 20 patients repeated same scan after 3 to 5 months. TomTec 2D CPA and Segment software were used to analyze the images. The peak values of the regional myocardial strain indexes. The transmural extent of myocardial infarction of segment in left ventricular was measured. Results There was no significant difference of longitudinal strain in non-infarction,non-transmural infarction and transmural infarction segments at the basal and middle segments. The circumferential strain peak and the radial strain peak of non-transmural infarction segments were lower than those of the non-infarction segments. The circumferential strain of transmural infarction segments were the lowest(basal level:-14.24%±9.05%,P<0.05;middle level:-12.71%±8.92%,P<0.05;apical level:-13.81%±11.13%, P<0.05). GLS was improved while LVDd was increased when compared the acute phase of myocardial infarction to that of 3-5 months after primary PCI. The circumferential strain and longitudinal strain of the non-transmural infarction segments was improved. The circumferential strain and radial strain of the transmural infarction segments 3-5 months later was improved as compared to the acute phase. Conclusions There was differences in myocardial strain in non-infarction,non-transmural infarction and transmural infarction segments from patients with acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction who had accepted primary PCI. The circumferential strain and longitudinal strain of the non-transmural infarction segments were improved after 3-5 months. The circumferential strain and radial strain of the transmural infarction segments after 3-5 months was improved as compared to the acute phase. Cardiac Magnetic resonance could combine feature tracking technique with gadolinium contrast delayed enhancement technique, giving both function and tissue characteristic evaluation to the myocardial damages after acute myocardial infarction.
