Objective To investigate the application of a new type internal anastomotic appliance of pouch pliers in the retention of anus operation of mesal, low rectal carcinoma. Methods The data of 65 patients with mesal, low rectal carcinoma with the technique of the anal retention using KYGW type anastomotic appliance of pouch pliers were reviewed and analyzed retrospectively. Results 65 patients were coincided success only one time. Anastomotic fistula occurred after operation in 1 case, being cured and discharged at last,no anastomotic stricture. Conclusion The internal anastomotic appliance of pouch pliers in the anal retention of mesal-low rectal carcinoma is an efficient method with better cost-effectiveness and fewer complications, which is easy to manipulate and popular- ize.

Chinese Journal of Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases 2006;0(05):-
Objective To investigate behavior, knowledge and attitude of cigarette smoking, and their relationship among different occupational population in Jiangsu Province. Methods Convenient sampling was used to interview 516 staff from medical institution, schools, government offices, public transportations and waiting rooms, restaurants and internet bars. The content of interview included current smoking,second-hand smoking, and related knowledge and attitude. Results Proportion of current smoking in male(51.2%)was higher than that in female(0.3%,P90%),while it's relatively lower in "second-hand smoking and exact related diseases"(
4.A New Phase of Bacteria Life Cycle:Long-term Stationary Phase

Microbiology 1992;0(02):-
The traditional view of bacterial life cycle consists of four phases, namely, lag phase, exponential or logarithmic phase, stationary phase and death phase.Although the standard textbook description of the bacterial life cycle has been useful, might not always provide us the whole visage of bacteria growth process.Recently,it has demonstrated that bacterial life cycle is expanded to five phases. It is a significant different growth phase after death phase:long-term stationary phase, which may be more akin to the nature environment in which microorganisms exist.Microbial cells survive due to mutating, and forming growth advantage during stationary phase (GASP) phenotype in this phase. It is very important for further study the microorganisms in this phase.

With the rapid development and increased integration of Chinese economy with global economy, China assumes more responsibilities and obligations for global health, resulting in great poten-tial needs for professionals in global health. From the angle of global health talent need , this article deeply illuminated that the global health talent training was helpful to take advantage of international resources to solve the problem of health, serve China's peaceful development strategy, comply with development trend of public health, and remedy limitations of traditional medicine undergraduate. Training undergraduates in global health who are China-specific and global competent is the only way to meet the talent demand of China's future. Multi-level global health education will become an important part of medical education in future in China.

Objective To locate the brain areas in which pain was induced by mechanical noxious stimulation by using functional magnetic resonance imaging. Methods Twenty healthy male volunteers, aged 20-40 yr,with body mass index of 18-25 kg/m2,were involved in this study. The volunteers were stimulated with 300 g von Frey filaments.Functional magnetic resonance imaging examinations were performed 1 week later. The monitoring data were collected during the scanning. The images were analyzed with SPM2 software. Results Bain areas in which pain was induced by mechanical noxious stimulation with 300 g yon Frey filaments were bilateral anterior cingulate gyrus, right contralateral insula and bilateral primary somatic sensory cortex. Conclusion The brain areas in which pain is induced by mechanical noxious stimulation include bilateral anterior cingulate gyrus, right contralateral insula and bilateral primary somatic sensory cortex.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 2012;32(7):781-783
Objective To investigate the effects of different doses of fentanyl on pain-activated brain areas as demonstrated by functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) at 3.0 T.Methods Twenty healthy right-handed male volunteers aged 20-40 yr were randomly divided into 2 groups ( n =10 each); group F1 (fentanyl 1.0 μg/kg) and group F2 (fentanyl 1.5 μg/kg).Mechanical stimulation with von Frey filaments (vFFs,300 g) was delivered to left sole. The intensity of pain was assessed by VAS scores.fMRI was performed before and after fentanyl administration and the changes in the brain areas activated by pain were recorded. Results In group F1 ipsilateral (left) cingulate gyrus was activated after a bolus of fentanyl 1.0 μg/kg under stimulation with vFFs 300 g,while in group F2 bilateral cingulate gyrus and contralateral (right) insula were activated under vFFs stimulation after fentanyl 1.5 μg/kg.Conclusion Cingulate gyrus and insula may be the target brain areas of fentanyl analgesia.

Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(06):-
Objective To study the effect of propofol and midazolam on memory during target control infusion for sedation. Methods Forty healthy male volunteers were randomly devided into 4 groups, all subjects received target controlled infusion with propofol or midazolam for sedation.Group 1 and group 3 were sedated to OAA/S 1 or OAA/S 3 respectively by propofol;group 2 and group 4 was sedated to OAA/S 1 or OAA/S 3 by midazolam. All subjects learned a list of words before sedation and at the different sedation depths predicted. After recovery the explicit and implicit memory were tested using word stem completion method and process dissociation procedure. Results Compared with 0,there was no significant difference in explicit memory among all the 4 groups. While there was significant difference in implicit memory for group 3 and 4,and there was no significant difference in implicit memory for group1 and group2.Conclusion Sedative-hypnotic drugs not only deepen sedation, but also impair memory as serum concentration increases during target infusion.Drug-induced amnesia is independent of sedation.Propofol and midazolam have the same efficacy on memory at the same sedation scale.
10.Serodiagnosis of trichinellosis by ELISA using recombinant nudix hydrolase of Trichinella spiralis
Shao Rong Long, Xiang Yu Tian, Zhong Quan Wang
Tropical Biomedicine 2015;32(4):669-675
Trichinella spiralis nudix hydrolase (TsNd) gene encoding a 46 kDa protein was
expressed in Escherichia coli and the potential of recombinant TsNd protein (rTsNd) as an
antigen for the serodiagnosis of trichinellosis was investigated by ELISA and compared with
those of ELISA with T. spiralis muscle larval excretory–secretory (ES) antigens. The sensitivity
of both ELISA was 100% (30/30), for the detection of anti-Trichinella IgG antibodies in sera of
the experimentally infected mice, and the specificity of rTsNd-ELISA and ES-ELISA was 100%
(54/54) and 98% (53/54), respectively (P>0.05). Serum anti-Trichinella antibodies were firstly
detected by rTsNd-ELISA at 14 days post infection (dpi), then continued to increase with a
detection rate of 100% at 36 dpi. The anti-Trichinella antibody levels at different times after
infection were statistically different (P<0.05). The results showed that the rTsNd might be a
potential candidate antigen for specific serodiagnosis of trichinellosis. But, it needs to be
further evaluated with sera of the patients with trichinellosis and other helminthiasis.
