1.Reason analysis of catheter-related infections in ICU patients and the countermeasures
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2012;28(21):68-70
[Objective] To explore the reasons of catheter-related infections in ICU critical pa-tients and raise up the countermeasures.[Methods] The clinical data of 46 patients with catheter-related infections were surveyed and analyzed from May 2010 to March 2011 in our hospital.[Results] Elderly patients occupied the majority of ICU patients with catheter-related infections. The main infection sites included the respiratory system, urinary system and gastrointestinal system.Establishment of artificial airway was the main cause of infection, indwelling catheter came next.[Conclusions] ICU patients has a high incidence of catheter-related infections. We should handle the ICU management appropriately, strengthen the control and prevention of factors of catheter-related infections, strictly enforce disinfection and segregation regulation, cut off infection way, enhances the resistance of patients, limit antibiotic use and various invasive operation in order to reduce the incidence of catheter-related infections.

Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2015;(1):113-119
Objective:To establish a method of morphologic measurement of the mandibles and obtain the average values of three dimensional morphologic measurements of the mandibles .Methods: A me-thod of morphologic measurement of the mandibles was established firstly .The three dimensional CT data of 54 normal adult skulls were measured by this method .The data were analyzed by SPSS 13.0 statistical software. Results:In the study, 84 groups of mean values and standard deviations of the length , width, height, depth, thickness and angle of the mandibular contour in males and females were obtained .There were significant differences between the male and the female in the 66 of the 84 groups data , while the 16 of the 84 groups data had no significant differences and distributed symmetry on both sides of the mandi -bles .No correlation was found in the mandibular contour data in length , width , height and depth .Con-clusion:The characteristics of adult mandibular contours are different between males and females , indi-cating that each individual has its own morphologic features .

Objective To investigate the effects of the traditional herb-epimedium on the expression of interleukin-6 (IL-6) mRNA in bone of ovariectomized rat. Methods Forty female rats were randomly allocated into 4 groups, 10 in each: ovariectomized (OVX) group, sham operation group, OVX followed by epimedium (group 3)or nilestriol (group 4) for 3 months respectively. All rats were then sacrificed, and total RNA were directly isolated from their right tibia. Interleukin-6 mRNA expression was detected by relative semiquantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction technique. Lumbar bone mineral density (BMD) was measured by dual-energy X ray absorptiometry before sacrifice. Results The BMD of epimedium group was significantly higher than that in the OVX group ( P

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2001;29(3):249-252
The fluorescence characteristics of reaction products of sparfloxacin with halide (F, Cl, Br, I) have been studied. It was found that sparfloxacin was oxidized by nitrous acid then reacted with halide further to formstrong fluorescence substances in acid media. Their fluorescence intensitites enhanced with aggrandizing of atom radii of halides, which could emit the strong fluorescence 58~151 fold more than that of sparfloxacin itself. Thus a new sensitive method for the direct determination of sparfloxacin in human urine by derivative-synchronous fluorescence was presented. A plausible mchanism was proposed to explin this behavior.
7.Effect of a distal protection device on epicardial blood flow and myocardial blush in primary percutaneous coronary intervention
Chinese Journal of Emergency Medicine 2006;0(06):-
Objective To study the effect of a distal protection device (Pereusurge GuardWire: GW) on epicardial blood flow and myocardial perfusion in primary percutaneous coronary intervention. Method Acute STEMI patients treated with primary PCI were eligible to be studied. Inclusion criteria were: (1) within 12 hours from the onset of chest pain;(2) culprit leision with diameter stenosis≥70% and TIMI flow grade≤2. Exclusion criteria were:(1) patients undergoing thrombolytic therapy before PCI; (2) a culprit lesion in the left main coronary artery;(3)reference vessel diameter

Objective To compare the safety between laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) and open cholecystectomy (OC) for benign gallbladder diseases in elderly patients. Methods A total of 120 patients above the age of 60 with indications for cholecystectomy and tolerance to general anesthesia were divided into two groups (LC Group and OC Group), in admission order of odd or even, with 60 patients in each group. Peri-operative parameters including operation time, analgetic consumption, postoperative gastrointestinal recovery time, length of duration with fluid infusion, length of bed rest, postoperative complications, and hospital stay were compared between the two groups. Serum total triiodothyronine (TT3) and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) levels, as well as the functional recovery of the abdominal muscles, were also recorded and compared. Results Peri-operative parameters were better in the LC Group than in the OC Group. Serum TT3 levels decreased significantly after surgery in both the LC Group (F=8.26,P=0.000) and the OC Group (F=124.70,P=0.000), with a more significant difference in the OC Group.Postoperatively, serum TSH levels decreased insignificantly in the LC Group (F=1.87,P=0.157) and significantly in the OC Group (F=27.24,P=0.000). Lasegue’s test at 7 days after surgery showed significantly higher leg-raising times in the LC Group than in the OC Group (t=3.640,P=0.000). Conclusions Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is superior to open cholecystectomy in the treatment of benign gallbladder diseases in elderly patients.

Objective To investigate the clinical pathological factors of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) with clinically node-negative sides of neck stage central lymph node metastasis. Methods Analysis of 136 cases of cNo stage of PTMC of clinical and pathological data, and using the PCR method for the detection of BRAFV600E mutation in the paraffin coated tissue. Results One hundred and thirty-six cases with PTMC lymph node metastasis rate was 38.2% (52/136),BRAFV600E mutation rate was 44.9% (61/136).Single factor analysis showed that the lymph node metastasis was related with BRAFV600E mutation and capsular invasion (P< 0.05).The size of the tumor was close to significant level (P=0.057).Multiple regression analysis showed that BRAFV600E mutation and capsular invasion were independent factors for affecting the central lymph node metastasis (P < 0.05).Conclusion The routine central lymph node dissection should be performed in patients with BRAFV600E mutation and tumor invasion.
