Objective To study the effects of mifepristone on the expression of estrogen receptor(ER)? and progesterone receptor(PR) in the endometrium of patients with adenomyosis in different menstrual cycles. Methods Forty-seven patients with adenomyosis and 15 normal subjects were divided into 3 groups: mifepristone group(n=24),non-drug group(n=23) and control group(n=15).The expression of ER? and PR in eutopic,ectopic and normal endometrium in proliferative phase and secretory phase were detected by immunohistochemistry. Objective To study the safe drinking duration of purified drinking water of water dispensers, the relationship between the sanitary quality of purified drinking water and the structure of the water dispensers. Methods 30 drinking water dispensers were collected from the market and divided into 3 groups based on the structural types. A following-up experimental observation for the changes of the microbiological indexes of the water samples from the taps of water dispensers with different structures during the different prolongating operating period was carried out. Results The safe drinking duration was ≤ 4 days for the purified drinking water sampled from the taps of the water dispensers with common type at the normal atmospheric temperature and ≤ 14 day for water dispensers with bacterial inhibition type. The sanitary quality of the purified drinking water sampled from the taps of water dispensers was associated with the structural type of water dispensers, but not the brands of water dispensers. Conclusion The experimental results of the water samples collected from the taps of water dispensers with bacterial inbibition type at normal atmospheric temperature was better in quality than those of common type. The water dispensers with bacterial inhibition type provided with hygienic licence should be better recommended to choice.

Objective To investigate the incidence and risk factors of human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV16) infec?tion among women through health screenings in Tianjin urban area. Methods A total of 2 000 women from Tianjin urban area were recruited for this study, and potential risk factors were investigated by questionnaire as well as by collecting cervi?cal exfoliated cells from the participants. HPV type was examined using polymerase chain reaction and pyrosequencing tech?nology, then the risk factors of HPV16 infection were examined by chi square test and the multiple factor logistic regression analysis. Results Among those 2 000 women who received health screenings, a total of 271 cases were HPV positive (13.55%). HPV16 accounts for the most common human papillomavirus types (39.5%, 107/271) while HPV58 account for 15.13%(41/271)and HPV18 account for 9.59% (26/271). Factors related to HPV16 infection were investigated include smoking history, initial age of sex (>25 years old or not) , number of pregnancies (≥2 or not), number of sexual partners (≥2 or not) and contraception measures (condom or other ways) with χ2=6.268,8.540,4.951,7.123,6.053,5.019, respectively. (P < 0.05). Age, alcohol intake, education level and previous gynecologial examination did not differ significantly among HPV16 positive patients compared to those with negative HPV. Multiple factor Logistic regression model analysis showed that the independent factors were smoking history and initial age for sex(≤25 years old)(P<0.05). Conclusion HPV16 is the most common type of cervical infection among women in Tianjin urban area. Changing inappropriate sexual behavior and smoking cessation are effective measures to prevent HPV16 infection and reduce incidence of cervical cancer.

Objective To investigate a practical scientific method for measurement of thyroid remnant in endoscopic thyroidectomy via breast approach.Methods The clinical data of 95 hyperthyroid patients were reviewed and analyzed.The patients were submitted to endoscopic thyroidectomy via breast approach and bilateral subtotal thyroid resection were performed.Thyroid remnant were assessed by naked eyes in 32 cases,thyroid remnant measuring tape in 63 cases.The therapeutic effect was observed.Results All the operations were successfully performed.There was no dyspnea,bleeding,recurrent laryngeal nerve and thyroid gland injury,postoperative recovery was well.The function of thyroid gland was reviewed after operation every 2-3 months,and reviewed by color ultrasound after operation every 6 months.Followed up for 1.8-6.0 years.In 32 patients whose thyroid remnant were assessed by naked eyes,3 patients showed relapse after operation 3 months,2 patients developed hypothyroidism.In 63 patients whose thyroid remnant were assessed by thyroid remnant measuring tape,there had no relapse and hypothyroidism.Conclusion Using thyroid remnant measuring tape in endoscopic thyroidectomy,according to 3.0,2.0,0.5 measurement method,make 1.06 g/cm3 as standard,is scientific,practical and clinical feasible.

Background Diclofenac sodium eye drops,pranoprofen eye drops and bromfenac sodium hydrate eye drops are three clinical commonly used nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs).The variation of cytoxicity among these drugs and whether the cytoxicity is related to the supplements are also unknown.Objective This study was to compare the cytotoxicity of three non-steroidal anti-inflammatory eye drops and their active components with cultured human corneal epithelial cells (HCECs) in vitro,and to discuss toxic origins of these drugs.Methods HCECs were cultured in different drugs with the final concentration of 0.10％,0.05％,0.02％ and 0.01％.Cell proliferation was evaluated by MTT assay.Then,0.002％ eye drops (1∶50) was added,and the migration and damage of the cells were deceted by transwell migration assay and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) assay.Results The cytotoxicity of three nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory eye drops on HCECs was concentration-dependent (all at P=0.00).Diclofenac sodium eye drops showed the most dominant effects on the proliferation,migration and damage of HCECs among the three eye drops,while bromfenac sodium eye drops showed the least effect on the cell damage (proliferation:Fdrug =20.25,P=0.00;migration:F =103.43,P =0.00;damage:Fdrug =164.16,P =0.00).Compared with the eye drops,their active components showed less cytoxicity.Pranoprofen appeared the least effects on the proliferation,migration and damage of HCECs (proliferation:Fdrug =332.27,P =0.00;migration:F =332.27,P =0.00;damage:Fdrug=154.83,P=0.00).Conclusions The cytotoxicity ofdiclofenac sodium eye drops is more obvious than that of pranoprofen eye drops or bromfenac sodium hydrate eye drops.The cytotoxicity of the three eye drops originates from their supplements or the interaction between the supplements and active components.

Background Limbal stem cells (LSCs) play an important role on the stability of corneal epithelium and corneal transparency.Rho-associated coiled-coil containing protein kinase (ROCK) inhibitor can promote cell proliferation and reduce apoptosis,such as human embryonic stem cells and karatin epithelial cells.Objective This study was to investigate the improving effect of Y-27632,a ROCK inhibitor,on the activity of rabbit LSCs in corneal preservation medium.Methods Corneal preservation solution was prepared by adding 12.5％ chondroitin sulfate,10.0％ low molecular dextran,20.0 mg/L dexamethasone,100 mg/L tobramycin sulfate,9.5 g/L Hepes and 0.375 mg/L L-glutamine in MEM.The corneas of New Zealand white rabbits were collected and preserved in the corneal preservation solution with or without Y-27632 for 4,7,14 days,and the density and morphology of corneal endothelial cells were examined by using 0.25％ trypan blue staining and 0.2％ alizarin red staining.Isolated corneal epithelial cells were seeded on 3T3 feeder layer and cultured for 7-10 days until colonies formation.Colony shape of LSCs was observed under the light microscope,and colony-formation efficiency was analyzed after Giemsa staining by Image J software.Results The morphology and density of corneal endothelial cells were normal in the corneal preservation solution with and without Y-27632 for 4 days.In the seventh day after preservation,the cells remained the regular hexagon in shape in the preservation solution with Y-27632,however,the cellular membrane was slightly shrinking with the positive staining for alizarin red in the preservation solution without Y-27632.The density of corneal endothelial cells in the corneal preservation solution without Y-27632 was (2 262-± 75) cells /mm2,while in the preservation solution with Y-27632 was (2 425 ±95) cells/mm2(P＜0.001).The cloning spheres of LSCs were similar in preservation solution both with and without Y-27632 in the freshly isolated cornea or preserved corneas and exhibited more cells inside.But in 7 days and 14 days after preservation,the cloning spheres were much smaller in the preservation solution without Y-27632 group than those in the preservation with Y-27632 group.No significant differences were found in the cloning-formation rate and survival rate of corneal epithelial cells in corneas freshly isolated or preserved for 4 days in both groups (all at P＞0.05).In 7 days and 14 days after preservation,the active rates of corneal epitheli.al cells were (73.00±2.12)％ and (56.00±0.71)％ in the preservation solution with Y27632,which were significantly higher than (66.00 ± 4.00) ％ and (49.00 ± 0.71) ％ in the preservation solution without Y-27632,showing statistically significant differences between them (t =3.098,P =0.018;t =9.798,P =0.000).In addition,the cloning-formation rates of LSCs were (11.05±0.21)％ and (3.10±1.97)％ in the preservation solution with Y-27632 in 7 days and 14 days after preservation,revealing significantly elevation in comparison with (2.05 ± 1.20) ％ and (0.40 ±0.14) ％ in the preservation solution without Y-27632 (t =18.107,P =0.000;t=3.184,P=0.017).Conclusions Y-27632 promotes the vitality and cloning-formation ability of LSCs in corneal preservation medium,suggesting its potential use during storage of cornea.

Obesity is an independent risk factor for acute pancreatitis (AP),and the morbidity risk and severity of AP in obese patients were significantly increased than those in non-obese patients.However,the exact mechanism has not been fully elucidated.In recent years,the researches on the role of adipose tissue (AT) in AP have gradually attracted wide attention of scholars both at home and abroad.To better understand the pathogenesis and new therapeutic targets of AP,in this paper,we overviewed the recent research progress on the role of AT in AP.

Chloasma is a common pigmentation on facial skin among middle-aged or young women. The characteris-tic of chloasma is acquired brown spots on exposed facial regions. Modern traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) clini-cal treatment mostly follows syndrome differentiation and treatment as well as prescriptions of TCM doctors from pre-vious dynasties. On the basis of different facial location of chloasma, the author explored the correlation between the facial lesion location and five zang-organ under the guidance of TCM holism concept. The creativeness of combining division differentiation and channel pattern differentiation, and the application of channel tropism medicine, provide new ideas for chloasma treatment.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) diagnostic methods contain inspection, auscultation-olfaction, inter-rogation and palpation. The clinical doctor collects information through the four diagnostic methods. Various symp-toms of the disease are especially used as the main evidence to determine different diseases and to identify the syndrome. Therefore, the TCM four diagnostic methods are the basic means of disease understanding in TCM. This article collected and analyzed clinical data in order to summarize the unique features and focused aspects of TCM four diagnostic methods application on TCM surgery and dermatology. This article was aimed to provide new ideas for TCM four diagnostic methods in the clinical diagnosis of dermatological diseases.
