Gingival recession is one of the common oral symptoms. Periodontal soft tissue defects caused by gingival recession and problems related to aesthetics, prosthetics and orthodontic treatment have garnered increasing attention. This article reviews the etiology, classification and treatment of gingival recession to provide a reference for the diagnosis and treatment of gingival recession. Anatomical characteristics of teeth, bacterial and viral infection, Occlusion trauma, Improperbrushing methods and other daily behaviors and iatrogenic factors may lead to gingival recession. Miller classification is the most commonly used classification standard. It is divided into 4 degrees according to the relationship between gingival recession and the association between the gingival membrane and the loss of adjacent alveolar bone or interdental papilla. Gingival surgeries, such as coronally advanced flap, laterally positioned flap, subepithelial connective tissue graft for Miller Ⅰ degrees and Ⅱ gingival recession retreat, obtain a more satisfactory success rate. Regarding the Ⅲ degree gingival recession, the postoperative curative effect is poor and can only cover part of the root. Regarding Ⅳ degrees gingival recession, surgery cannot reach the root surface coverage. For patients with Miller Ⅳgingival recession caused by severe periodontitis, the surgical treatment is poor, and repair methods, such as sputum, can also be considered. In recent years, a variety of biological materials have been jointly applied to gingival surgery, such as tooth enamel matrix derivative (EMD), allograft acellular dermal matrix (ADM), porcine collagen matrix (PCM) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). The use of these biomaterials can improve root coverage, increase gingival thickness and keratinized gingival width, avoid the requirement of palatal flap removal, reduce the surgical risk and increase patient compliance.

Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of mumps in Guangxi from 2011 to 2019, and to provide a scientific basis for formulating effective prevention and control strategies. Methods Descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the incidence data of mumps in Guangxi from 2011 to 2019. Results From 2011 to 2019, a total of 146,132 cases of mumps were reported in Guangxi, with an average annual incidence rate of 34.23 /100 000. There were 88,919 male cases (60.85%) and 57,213 female cases (39.15%). The incidence rate decreased from 62.26/100 000 in 2011 to 16.46/100 000 in 2015, and increased from 18.60/100 000 in 2016 to 46.90/100 000 in 2019. There were seasonal variations in the incidence, with the incidence peaks occurring from April to July and from October to the following January. 85.39% of cases were under 15 years of age, and 76.82% of cases were among kindergarteners or school children. A total of 228 mumps outbreaks were reported during 2011-2019,including 5,347 cases, accounting for 3.66% of the total cases. The incidence rates of mumps in Nanning (56.09/100 000), Hechi (48.26/100 000), Liuzhou (46.77/100 000), Baise (46.34/100 000) and Fangchenggang (40.68/100,000) were relatively higher than other places. Conclusion The mumps incidence is on an upward trend in Guangxi since 2015-2019, occurring mainly in older children or students. It is suggested to adhere to the second dose of mumps containing vaccine for kindergarten and school children and strengthen the surveillance and outbreak control of mumps in schools.

Chinese Journal of Pediatrics 2020;58(3):223-227
Objective:
To analyze the clinical , immunological and genetic features of a child with BCL11B mutation induced neurodevelopmental disorder.
Methods:
The clinical data and genetic test of a child with BCL11B mutation hospitalized in the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology in Children′s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University in December 2018 were extracted and analyzed. The literature was searched with "BCL11B mutation" and "immunodeficiency 49" as key words in Chinese databases and Pubmed until January 2019 was reviewed.
Results:
A male patient aged 3 years and 11 months with facial dysmorphisms and delayed language and motor development was admitted due to neurodevelopmental retardation over two years. Laboratory tests showed normal human immunoglobulin (IgG 12.90 g/L, IgA 1.02 g/L, IgM 1.15 g/L, IgE 532 000 U/L), Trec (228) and proliferation of T and B cells. The lymphocyte subsets revealeda reduced percentage of B cells (0.108) but normal absolute numbers (0.574×10-3/L), and an increased percentage (0.828) as well as absolute numbers (4.415×10-3/L) of T cells. A heterozygous BCL11B mutation was detected by sanger sequencing, showing a de novo frameshift mutation c.1887_c.1893delCGGCGGG in exon 4. Two papers were found which were all in English, with total of 14 patients(13 patients with complete information). Thirteen mutations were reposed, including 7 frameshift, 2 nonsense, 2 missense, and 2 chromosomal rearrangements; Thirteen patients had heterozygous mutations. All patients had delayed language and motor development and facial dysplasia which were mainly hypertelorism, thin eyebrows and small palpebral fissures. Some patients had dental anomalies, ametropia and allergy, and a few were combined with immune impairment, but without overt signs of immunodeficiency. Only one patient had multisystem anomalies and profound immune deficiency.
Conclusions
BCL11B is essential for development of the nervous and the immune system. In this study, the de novo mutation of BCL11B gene resulted in neurodevelopmental and immunological disorders.
