Objective:
This study aimed to analyze the association between the characteristics of egocentric network and HIV prevalence among men who have sex with men (MSM) through social network analysis.
Methods:
The study was conducted in Guangzhou city from November 2016 to June 2017 using convenient sampling method. Participants were recruited from 13 voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) locations. Data were collected by using nomination generation and nomination interpretation methods. Questionnaire includes two parts, the first part about the social tie, and the second one about social demography and behavioral characteristics of respondents and their nominees. The multivariate logistic regression was applied to quantify the association.
Results:
8.67%(93/1 073) HIV antibody positive MSM had been detected in 1 073 respondents who nominated 4 301 partners in total. Compared to egocentric sexual network with a size of 1-2, the size of sexual network larger than 3 (

Objective:To explore demand for contracted family doctor services in middle-aged and elderly patients with chronic diseases in Dongguan so as to provide a basis for further improving the contracted family doctor service items of chronic disease. Methods:From August to December 2018, a total of 20 middle-aged and elderly patients with chronic diseases who signed up for family doctor service in Dongguan city were selected for semi-structured interviews using the objective sampling method, and the data were analyzed with the Colaizzi analysis method. Results:By analyzing and categorizing the interview data, six themes were extracted, namely, policy and service cognitive needs, disease knowledge and skills needs, drug treatment needs, rehabilitation care needs, psychosocial support and network service needs.Conclusions:Middle-aged and elderly patients with chronic diseases have a high demand for family doctor team services. Medical staff should strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration, strengthen chronic disease health education, pay attention to mental health of patients and use the network management platform of family doctors for elderly patients with chronic diseases to maximize the needs of patients for medical care services.

Objective To explore the psychological experience of the patients suffering chronic hepatitis C. Methods A deep interview was conducted with 14 patients with chronic hepatitis C. Data were collected, analyzed and distilled by Colaizzi analysis method. Results Five major themes were extracted as follows:the relationship between the illness and the body, heavy psychological burden, weakness of support system, high demand of knowledge about the disease, and different coping styles. Conclusions It′s necessary to emphasize the physical and psychological health of patients suffering chronic hepatitis C. In order to improve patients′quality of life and satisfy their needs, medical staffs should provide education about the disease and psychological nursing for the patients, and help them establish support system to improve their quality of life.

ObjectiveTo explore the determinants of average length of stay of three county hospitals and eleven countryside hospitals of Xinjiang province.MethodsRelative data of the county and the countryside hospitals from 2009 to 2010 were collected, and descriptive analysis and rank sum test were employed to explore the determinants of average length of stay.ResultsThe average length of stay of the county hospital was longer than the countryside hospital, the average length of stay had significant differences between the gender, age, and the disease classfication.ConclusionThe average length of stay of the county hospitals and countryside hospitals had difference significantly.

Chinese Journal of Medical Genetics 2022;39(4):378-382
OBJECTIVE:
To explore the genetic basis for a Chinese pedigree affected with X-linked retinoschisis.
METHODS:
Clinical data of the pedigree was collected. Following DNA extraction, PCR and Sanger sequencing were carried out to detect potential variant in the RS1 gene. The result was verified by using PCR and restriction fragment length polymorphism assay.
RESULTS:
All male patients were found to harbor a c.458T>G (p.Val153Gly) variant of the RS1 gene, for which Their mothers were heterozygous carriers. The same variant was not detected among unaffected members of the pedigree as well as 100 healthy controls. Bioinformatic analysis suggested the variant to be pathogenic.
CONCLUSION
The c.458T>G (p.Val153Gly) variant of the RS1 gene probably underlay the X-linked retinoschisis in this pedigree.

Chinese Circulation Journal 2024;39(9):871-876
Objectives:To analyze the clinical prognosis stratification of fetal heart disease(FHD)and the mid-term follow-up results following integrated prenatal and postnatal management. Methods:Present retrospective analysis was performed on 817 fetuses diagnosed with FHD by fetal echocardiography in Fuwai Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences(Fuwai Hospital)from the 8th February 2018 to 30th April 2022.According to the Chinese expert consensus on fetal prognosis score of congenital heart disease(CHD)and Fuwai Hospital Pediatric Center score,FHD was divided into grade Ⅰ(0 point),grade Ⅱ(1-3 points),grade Ⅲ(4-6 points)and grade Ⅳ(7-9 points). For FHD fetuses that need to be treated in the neonatal period, the whole closed-loop management and treatment were completed, including pregnancy, birth, neonatal monitoring, surgery, and follow-up.The clinical data and mid-term follow-up results of FHD fetuses were analyzed. Results:A total of 752 fetuses completed the mid-term follow-up.The mean follow-up time was(18.5±2.3)months.There were 111 cases(14.8%)of FHD grade Ⅰ,251 cases(33.4%)of FHD grade Ⅱ,275 cases(33.6%)of FHD grade Ⅲ and 115 cases(15.3%)of FHD grade Ⅳ.There were 393 cases(52.2%)of fetal preservation,1 case(0.2%)of intrauterine death, and 358 cases(47.6%)of induced abortion.Compared with the induced fetus, the pregnant women in the reserved fetus group were older, the gestational age was longer, the rate of receiving noninvasive DNA and amniocentesis was lower, the proportion of chromosomal abnormalities or genetic abnormalities was smaller, and the FHD prognostic score was lower(all P<0.05).One case(0.9%)of FHD grade Ⅰ fetus experienced intrauterine fetal death, and 110 cases(99.1%)were born and recovered.164 cases(65.3%)of grade Ⅱ fetuses were born, and all of them were cured by surgery or spontaneously.118 cases(42.9%)of grade Ⅲ fetuses were born,117 cases completed biventricular radical operation, and 1 case completed two-stage operation waiting for the second stage biventricular radical operation. One case(0.9%)of grade Ⅳ was born and completed the two-stage bidirectional Glenn procedure.Among the induced FHD grade Ⅱ fetuses,8(9.2%)had abnormal chromosomal or genetic testing results, and 8(9.2%)had other organ abnormalities.Among the induced FHD grade Ⅲ fetuses,5 cases(3.2%)had chromosomal abnormalities,5 cases(3.2%)had genetic abnormalities, and 9 cases(5.7%)had other organ abnormalities. There was only one case(0.9%)of FHD Ⅳ with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which was retained as one of the twins and was born successfully.Norwood one-stage procedure was performed in the neonatal period, and two-stage bidirectional Greene procedure was performed at 6 months after birth.Other fetuses were induced following the choice of maternity and their family members. Conclusions:Hierarchical management based on clinical prognosis is helpful to scientifically guide the integrated treatment of FHD fetuses and improve the success rate of treatment of FHD fetuses with good prognosis.
