Objective: To investigate the effects of lycopene on T lymphocyte subpopulations and pulmonary alveolar macrophagic (PAM) functions in rats with acute lung injury (ALI). Methods: Rats were randomly divided into the following groups. (1) Control group, (2) ALI model group, (3) Low dose group, (4) Mid dose group and (5) High dose group. Control group and ALI model group were treated with solvent of lycopene, and the other groups were gastrically incubated with lycopene. Thirty-five days later, control group were given physiological saline, ALI model group and lycopene administrated groups were injected with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) (6.0 mg/kg) to induce ALI. One hour, four hours or six hours after LPS or physiological saline challenged, abdominal aorta blood for measuring lymphocyte subpopulations and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid for measuring function of PAM were gathered respectively. Results: (1) At h 1, the percentages of CD3+,CD4+ and CD8+ of lycopene administrated groups compared with control group were not significantly different. At h 4, the percentage of CD4+ was similar to that at h 1. As for the percentages of CD3+, except high dose group [(28.8?9.9)%] was significantly lower, low dose, mid dose and ALI model group showed no significant difference compared with control group[(39.5?4.5)%]. The percentages of CD8+ of ALI model and lycopene administrated rats, separately (10.2?3.9)%,(10.3?2.8)%,(9.8?2.8)%,(10.1?3.5)%, had been significantly reduced compared with control group[(15.1?2.5)%]; between ALI model and lycopene ad-ministrated groups there was no significant difference. The instance at h 6 was the same as that at h 4. The percentage ratios of CD4+ T-lymphocyte to CD8+ T-lymphocyte of ALI model rats were not significantly different compared with control group or lycopene administrated groups at h 1 and h 6. At h 4, the ratio of the CD4 + and CD8 + in Low dose and Mid dose groups had significant difference and ALI model, high dose hadn’t when they were compared with control group. (2) Lycopene increased the phagocytic function of PAMs significantly at h 1(P

Objective To determine the consistency of urogenital hiatus ( U H ) data between the semi‐automatic measurement and manual measurement using transperineal pelvic floor ultrasonography . Methods Total of 286 three‐dimensional images of minimal U H dimension were obtained . And they were divided into study group ( 100 images) and test group ( 186 images) randomly . T hree experts traced and created the w hole profile of the U H of those images in the study group by M AT LAB . T hen the semi‐automatic software was obtained through machine learning algorithms . In the test group , 6 parameters of U H ( including anterioposterior diameter , transverse diameter ,circumference , area ,left and right levator urethral gap distance) were measured by two experts ( D 1 and D2 ) both manually and semi‐automatically . T he time experts spent on measuring was also recorded and compared . Results T he time used for semi‐automatic measurement was significantly shorter than that for manual measurement [ ( 7 .49 ± 1 .51 ) s vs ( 42 .42 ± 11 .08) s ,( 7 .52 ± 1 .37) s vs ( 43 .45 ± 9 .09) s for D1 and D2 , t = -12 .09 ,-13 .64 ,all P=0 .00] . T he Pearson correlation coefficients between semi‐automatic and manual measurements of 6 parameters were 0 .857 -0 .985 ( P < 0 .01) ,0 .853 -0 .979 ( P < 0 .01 ) in D1 and D2 ,respectively . T he interclass correlation coefficients ( ICC) of six parameters were ranged from 0 .846 -0 .985 for D1 and 0 .843~0 .979 for D2 ( all P < 0 .01 ) . T he Bland Altman plot also showed good agreement between two methods . Conclusions Intellectual recognition and semi‐automatic measurement has simplified the process for U H measurement ,and it is proved to be a reliable and timesaving method that is practical for clinical use .

Objective:To analyze the expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and neuronal nuclei (NeuN) antigen in hippocampus based on the depression model of juvenile rats caused by chronic unpredictable stress (CUS), and to explore the effect of electroacupuncture vagus nerve on CUS depression model. Methods:Six juvenile SD rats were selected as the control group (without any stimulation), and the rest were divided into CUS group, pseudo stimulation group, fluoxetine group and electroacupuncture group by random number method after CUS modeling, with 6 rats in each group. Fluoxetine group was given 10 mg/kg fluoxetine intervention; control group and CUS group were given the same amount of normal saline intervention; In the electroacupuncture group, the distal vagus nerve was stimulated after ligation, while in the pseudo stimulation group, only vagus nerve was isolated without electrical stimulation. After 28 d of intervention, the five groups were subjected to Open-field Test and Sucrose Preference Test. Hippocampal neurons were detected by hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining, and the expressions of GFAP and NeuN in hippocampal were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results:After CUS modeling and before intervention, the number of vertical and horizontal movements, sucrose consumption and sucrose preference in CUS group, pseudo stimulation group, fluoxetine group and electroacupuncture group were significantly lower than those in the control group (all P<0.01); After the intervention, the above indexes in CUS group and pseudo stimulation group were still lower than those in the control group (all P<0.01), but the above indexes in fluoxetine group and electroacupuncture group were significantly higher than those in CUS group and pseudo stimulation group (all P<0.01). HE staining showed that the arrangement of hippocampal neurons in CUS group and pseudo stimulation group were loose, and there were cell swelling and pyknosis, which was significantly improved in fluoxetine group and electroacupuncture group. Immunohistochemical results showed that compared with the control group, the expression of GFAP increased and NeuN decreased in the hippocampus of CUS group and pseudo stimulation group (all P<0.01); Compared with CUS group and pseudo stimulation group, the expression of GFAP decreased and NeuN increased in fluoxetine group and electroacupuncture group (all P<0.01). Conclusions:Electroacupuncture of vagus nerve can obviously improve the depression symptoms of juvenile rats, which is similar to fluoxetine, and may be related to regulating the expression of GFAP and Neun in hippocampus.

Objective:To explore the clinical characteristics, causes, diagnosis and treatment of transplant renal artery stenosis after pediatric-to-adult kidney transplantation. Methods:Between July 2014 and March 2019, clinical data were retrospectively reviewed for 25 en-bloc and 27 single kidney transplant cases. Results:One en-bloc(4.0%)and two single kidney recipients(7.4%)were diagnosed as renal artery stenosis at Month 13-23 months post-transplantation.It was higher than the rate of stenosis in adult-to-adult transplant cases(1.1%)during the same period. As compared with recipients without stenosis, stenotic ones had younger pediatric donors( P<0.05)and yet similar body weight of donors as well as recipients( P>0.05). The inner diameters of stenonotic sites were(1.40-1.63)mm and predominant stenotic site was proximal renal artery rather than anastomotic site. The remaining parts of major renal arteries varied from 2.31 to 4.93 mm in diameter. It was normal in children with a corresponding age.All three cases responded well to percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and stenting. Conclusions:The cause of stenosis may be an undeveloped local artery diameter due to extensive tissue dissection around artery. Therefore cautious selections of infantile single renal graft for adult recipients and preserving surrounding tissue of renal artery assist in the prevention of graft arterial stenosis.
