Objective To translate the English version of good death inventory( GDI) into Chinese, and test its reliability and validity among medical staff and general people in China. Methods The English version of GDI was translated and revised, and was used to investigate 595 people. The reliability and validity were tested. Results The Chinese version of good death scale consisted of 18 items, and three factors were extracted. The cumulative proportion in anova was 52.890%, and the factor loading of every item was greater than 0. 3. The correlated coefficients between items and their sub-scales ranged from 0. 558 to 0. 778. The Cronbach′s α coefficient of the scale was 0.894, and split-half reliability coefficient was 0.787. Conclusions Revised Chinese version of GDI has good reliability and validity, and it can be used for measuring the level of medical staff and general people in China.

Objective To examine the correlation between the hospital evidence-based culture and evidence-based nursing. Methods A total of 752 nurses were investigated by the Chinese version organizational culture & readiness of EBP scale and nurses′ belief of EBP scale. Results The mean score of the organizational culture and readiness of evidence-based practice (EBP) scale was (3. 80 ± 0. 77) and average 3 dimension scores were less than 4 score. The mean score of nurses′ belief of EBP scale was (3. 61 ± 0. 36). Correlation analysis showed that the score of the organizational culture and readiness of EBP was positively correlated with the score of nurses′ belief of EBP (r = 0. 275,P < 0. 01). Conclusions In order to promote the level of nurses′belief and EBP development, the total levels of the organizational culture and readiness of EBP in hospital should be further improved, especially strengthen the levels of people who are committed to EBP and skills and resources of EBP possessed by the hospital.
