China Occupational Medicine 2022;49(2):180-185
Objective To compare and analyze the occupational exposure limit(OEL)of hexavalent chromium compounds in
China and foreign countries. Methods The OEL and background information of hexavalent chromium compounds released by
nine official and unofficial organizations in seven countries/regions were collected and sorted. The classification, limit levels,
formulation principles and compound characteristics labeling of OEL were compared. Results The OEL values published by
nine organizations ranged from 0.000 02 to 0.050 00 mg/m3
. Among them, the limits of seven organizations(including China)
did not clearly distinguish the soluble types of hexavalent chromium compounds;the limits of eight organizations(including
China)were calculated in terms of chromium;seven organizations(including China)have only developed OEL for long-term
exposure. The OEL of hexavalent chromium in China was 0.050 00 mg/m3 which is relatively loose. Its carcinogenicity label was
consistent with international standards, its sensitization label was consistent with some countries, and its percutaneous
absorption label had not been included in the characteristic labeling of limit values. Conclusion It is suggested that the OEL of
hexavalent chromium in China should be revised timely, and the systemic adverse effects caused by percutaneous absorption of
hexavalent chromium compounds should be focused on. At the same time,it is recommended to systematically adjust the
management concepts and principles of all carcinogens.

Objective To explore the role and their relationship of Ki-67, VEGF and p27 expressed in adult patients with acute leukemia. Methods The expression of Ki-67, VEGF and p27 in bone marrow mononuclear cells (BMMNC) were analyzed by immunocytochemical staining, and their correlations of Ki-67, VEGF and p27 were statistically analyzed. Results The expression of Ki-67(42.48±25.78)% or VEGF (44.89±24.01)% on BMMNC from acute leukemia cells was significantly higher than that in the control (11.40±9.94)% or (16.90±12.54)% (P<0.01). But the expression of p27 (23.65±13.30)% was significantly lower than that in the control (50.23±22.68)% (P<0.01). The expressions of Ki-67 were positively correlated with and VEGF in patients with acute leukemia were positively correlated(r=-0.666, P<0.01), and the expressions of Ki-67 and p27 were negatively correlated with p27 in patients with acute leukemia (r=-0.316, P<0.05).Conclusion The evaluation of expression of Ki-67, VEGF and p27 on acute leukemic cells provides new insights to the pathogenesis is helpful in mechanism and is helpful in the diagnosis of acute leukemia.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the effect of the comprehensive rehabilitation training, including multi-joint isokinetic muscle strength, balance, and weight-support training, on the senile patients after total hip arthroplasty. Methods50 patients after total hip arthroplasty were divided into group A (n=25) and group B (n=25). The group A received the comprehensive rehabilitation training combined with the 3 systems, while the group B received the routine rehabilitation training. They were assessed with the Harris scale and the life satisfaction before and 4, 8 and 12 weeks after rehabilitation. ResultsCompared with that before rehabilitation, the Harris score of all the patients improved 8 weeks after rehabilitation (P<0.05), while it improved more in the group A than in the group B (P<0.05). The incidence of hip joint recovery was more in the group A than in the group B as well (P<0.05). The life satisfaction improved in both groups 4 weeks after rehabilitation (P<0.01), and it was more in the group A than in the group B 12 weeks after training (P<0.05). ConclusionThe rehabilitation combined with isokinetic, balance, weight-support training can promote the functional recovery after total hip arthroplasty

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(1):9-12
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the risk factor, type and characteristic nystagmus of the otolith abnormal migration during diagnosis and treatment for posterior semicircular canal benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (PSC-BPPV). The therapy and prevention is also discussed.
METHOD:
Four hundred and seventy-nine patients with PSC-BPPV were treated by Epley's canalith repositioning procedures(CRP) from March 2009 to March 2012. We observed otolith abnormal migration complicating during diagnosis and treatment. According the type of otolith abnormal migration, the additional repositioning maneuver was performed.
RESULT:
The rate of complication was 8. 1%(39/479), with canal conversion in 5.4%(26/479) and primarily canal reentry in 2.7%(13/479). The rate of incidence of conversion to horizontal canal conversion and anterior canal were 4. 8%(23/479)and 0. 6%(3/479) respectively. All the patient was cured in follow up. The risk factors were unappropriated head movement during or after CRP, including another Dix-Hallpike were performed immediately.
CONCLUSION
To prevent the complications, the pathognostic positioning sequence and angle of head rotation are commenced during CRP. Appropriate short time postural restrictions post-treatment is necessary. Careful observation of nystagrnus variation is crucial to determine the otolith abnormal migration.

Chinese Journal of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Diseases 2015;33(6):430-434
OBJECTIVETo investigate the eligibility and main problems for occupational health inspection agencies in China, and to provide technical references for improvement of occupational health inspection.
METHODSA survey was performed in occupational health inspection agencies that obtained eligibility before June 2011 in eight provinces: Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Hubei, Guangxi, Shanghai, Chongqing, and Shenzhen. The survey used the General Information Questionnaire for Occupational Health Inspection Agency made by the project of Occupational Health Surveillance and Diagnosis and Identification of Occupational Diseases in China and Australia.
RESULTSA total of 650 agencies obtained eligibility for occupational health inspection in the eight provinces. These agencies contained 343 centers of disease control and prevention (CDC) or health and epidemic prevention stations (52.8%), 219 hospitals (33.7%), 25 institutes or centers for occupational disease prevention and control (3.8%), 29 community health service centers (4.5%), and 34 other agencies (5.2%) including departments of preventive and health care and preventive medicine outpatient departments. Four hundred and fifty-three agencies completed the questionnaire survey with a response rate of 69.7%. The main types of eligible agencies were different among various regions. A majority of occupational health inspection agencies were hospitals in Shanghai and Zhejiang (67.1%, 62.3%), departments of preventive and health care in Shenzhen (70.0%), and CDCs in Chongqing, Jiangsu, Hubei, and Guangxi. Each agency obtained 3.5 occupational health inspection eligibilities on average. Most of agencies could perform eligible health inspection for dust, harmful physical factors, or harmful chemical factors (84.8%, 87.9%, 87.2%). Moreover, 72.8% of agencies were eligible for all the three types of inspections. A few agencies were able to perform eligible health inspection for harmful biological factors or radiation work (22.5%, 23.0%).
CONCLUSIONAn occupational health inspection network has been established in these surveyed regions. CDCs, institutes for occupational disease prevention and control, and hospitals are the main agencies for occupational health inspection. In order to build up a network of occupational disease prevention and control, various agencies should make full use of their own advantages and enhance abilities and technical cooperation.

Objective:
To characterize the features of human brucellosis from national reports of occupational diseases and infectious diseases in China during 2006-2016, and explore the correlations between human brucellosis with the livestock and their products.
Methods:
From January to October 2018, the data of human brucellosis were extracted from China's annual national reports of occupational diseases and infectious diseases from government circulars during 2006-2016. The data on the number of livestock and the output of livestock products were obtained from China Statistical Yearbook, China Animal Industry Yearbook and China Animal Industry and Veterinary Yearbook. The standards of Diagnosis of occupational infectious disease (GBZ 227-2017) and Diagnostic criteria for brucellosis (WS 269-2007) were compared. The statistics were analyzed using Excel 13.0 and SPSS software 22.0. The linear regression and multiple regression were used to explore the relationships between human brucellosis with the number of livestock and the output of livestock products.
Results:
The diagnosis of human brucellosis in national reports of occupational diseases was based on GBZ 227-2017, which referred to WS 269-2007. There is an increasing trend from 2006 to 2009, and then declined to 2011, but rebounded from 2012 onwards in human brucellosis in national reports of occupational diseases. The general trend showed an increase during the 2006-2014 period, and then a decrease onwards in human brucellosis in national reports of infectious diseases. The Spearman correlation from SPSS showed the

Chinese Journal of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Diseases 2018;36(10):738-741
Objective:
To analyze the relevant literature on China’s occupational health standard from 2001 to 2016, and to provide a basis for further improving China’s occupational health standard system.
Methods:
Wanfang Data, CNKI, VIP, PubMed, Embase, and Web of Knowledge were used to retrieve relevant literature on China’s occupational health standard from 2001 to 2016. Information of the literature was collected, and type of literature, time and region, first author’s affiliation, and research funding were analyzed by bibliometrics.
Results:
The relevant literature on China's occupational health standard was concentrated domestically and in the health system, and the number of documents was highly correlated with socio-economic conditions. The literature was dominated by the research on onsite application of occupational health (53.08%) , while there was less research on occupational health standard (11.78%) . The number of published articles and funding intensity were significantly different between centers for disease control and prevention at different levels.
Conclusion
It is suggested to accelerate the application of evidence-based medicine and systematic review in the development of occupational health standard, enhance the research ability of county/district-level disease control officers, assist them in summarizing and publishing their daily work experience, and give them appropriate funding, so as to promote the accumulation of knowledge in the field of occupational health.
