We analyzed the surveillance data of measles from January 1999 to October 2000 in Jiangxi Province for the aim of measles control. The results showed that 3*!184 measles cases were reported from the province and 1 reported case died. Most of the reported measles cases were under 15 years old. The incidence of measles in age group between 7-10 years old was higher than that in other age groups and most of the reported cases having vaccination histroy were 4-10 year old children. Both the sporadic and epidemic measles in some districts existed at the same time and the reported measles cases extensively distributed in all districts of Jiangxi Province. The outbreaks of measles in some districts had affected the morbidity of measles of the whole province To prevent and control measles outbreak are the main effective measures to control this disease.

Purpose To investigate the clinicopathologic features of cervical adenoid basal cell carcinoma. Methods Clinical and pathological data were analyzed in 12 cases of cervical adenoid basal cell carcinoma and the relevant literatures were reviewed. Results The age of 12 cases of with cervical adenoid basal cell cancer patients ranged from 36~70 years ( mean:53. 3 years) , with a medi-an age of 51. 5 years. Amongst 12 patients who contained no gross definite lesion, 5 patients (41. 7%) had the symptoms of vaginal bleeding. 8 cases of patients underwent hysterectomy, while the other four received cervical conization. Cervical intraepithelial neopla-sia ( CIN) lesions were observed in all 12 cases. The tumor cells were small and uniform, with dark oval nuclei without conspicuous nucleoli and scanty cytoplasm. Tumor infiltrated into the stroma in nests and cords. Glandular differentiation within tumor nests were seen in 12 cases, including two cases of squamous cell differentiation accompanied by partial and minor interstitial edema. Peripheral palisading cells around tumor nests were also found. The infiltrating depth of tumor ranged from 0. 5~10 mm with the average 4. 12 mm. Cancer embolis were available in 2 cases with no lymph node metastasis. 10 cases followed up for 3~78 months with no recur-rence and metastasis, but 2 cases were lost. Conclusion Adenoid basal cell carcinoma is a rare uterine cervical tumor found in post-menopausal women, which are often accompanied with CIN. This tumor has a favorable prognosis and should be clearly separated from adenoid cystic carcinoma and other tumors which also have infiltrative growth pattern.

Objective To observe the expression of Galectin-3 in peritoneal dialysis (PD) fluid in patients with different dialysis ages, and to conduct correlation analysis with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) , fi-bronectin (FN) and related clinical indicators. Methods A total of 109 PD patients who were regularly followed up in the department of nephrology were divided into four groups according to different peritoneal dialysis ages. The concentrations of Galectin-3, VEGF and FN were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The expres-sion of Galectin-3 in peritoneal dialysate of the 4 groups was compared, the correlation with VEGF, FN and clinical related indexes was analyzed, and the correlation was analyzed by Spearman test. Results The concentration of VEGF in peritoneal dialysis patients in group D significantly increased (P<0.05) .Galectin-3 expression levels were positively correlated with VEGF (r =0.358 , P =0.022) , but not significantly correlated with FN (r =0.121, P=0.452).Galectin-3 was positively correlated with clinical indicators parathyroid hormone (PTH) (r=0.201, P=0.037), C-reactive protein (CRP) (r=0.357, P<0.001), left ventricular posterior wall dimensions (LVPWD) (r=0.213, P=0.026), and negatively correlated with clinical indicators total cholesterol (TC) (r=-0.316, P=0.001).Conclusion The concentration of Galectin-3 in the dialysate of long-term peritoneal dialy-sis patients is significantly elevated, indicating that the expression of galectin-3 increases with the extension of peri-toneal dialysis time, suggesting that the detection of galectin-3 levels may be helpful for the evaluation of early peri-toneal fibrosis. The positive correlation with VEGF may suggest its role in promoting peritoneal angiogenesis and fi-brosis.Moreover, it is positively correlated with clinical indicators PTH, CRP and LVPWD, suggesting that it has certain clinical guiding significance on microinflammatory state and myocardial remodeling.

Objective:To investigate the expression changes of farnesoid X receptor (FXR) in the evolution of normal intestinal mucosa, colorectal adenoma (CRA) and colorectal cancer (CRC), and the correlation of FXR expression with clinicopathological features and prognosis of patients with colorectal tumors. Methods:The UALCAN website tool was used to analyze the expression level of FXR gene transcripts of CRC and normal colorectal tissues in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. The patients undergoing colonoscopy and treatment in the Aerospace Center Hospital from January 2019 to September 2020 were selected, and the immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of FXR protein in 100 CRA tissues, 47 CRC tissues and 11 normal colonic mucosal tissues from healthy people (healthy control). Combining with clinical data, the relationship between FXR protein expression and clinicopathological characteristics of patients with colorectal tumors was analyzed. According to the Kaplan-Meier Plotter online database, the median expression level of FXR gene transcripts in CRC patients was analyzed, and the patients were divided into FXR low-expression group and high-expression group, the relationship between the expression of FXR gene and prognosis of CRC patients was investigated. Results:The analysis of data from TCGA database showed that the expression level of FXR gene transcripts in CRC tissues was lower than that in normal colorectal tissues ( P < 0.01). Immunohistochemical examination of the collected tissues showed that the positive rate of FXR protein gradually decreased from the cecum to the rectum. The positive rates of FXR protein in healthy control, CRA patients and CRC patients were 90.9% (10/11), 24.0% (24/100), 6.3% (3/47), and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2 = 35.56, P < 0.01); the positive rate of FXR protein in cancer tissues from CRC patients was lower than that in normal tissues adjacent to cancer [6.3% (3/47) vs. 65.2% (15/23)], and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2 = 27.98, P < 0.01). There was no statistical difference in the positive rate of FXR among CRA patients with different gender, age, maximum diameter of adenoma, and aggression (all P > 0.05). There was also no statistical difference in the positive rate of FXR among CRC patients with different gender, age, tumor site, maximum diameter of tumor, degree of differentiation, TNM staging, and vascular tumor thrombus (all P > 0.05). According to the survival analysis of Kaplan-Meier Plotter online database, the recurrence-free survival of CRC patients with high expression of FXR was better than that of patients with low expression of FXR ( P = 0.003). Conclusions:The expression level of FXR gradually decreases in the intestinal tissues of healthy people, CRA patients and CRC patients. The prognosis of CRC patients with low FXR expression is poor.
