China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2016;29(2):192-196
As an important indicator of total hip arthroplasty (THA) the rate and degree of offset reconstruction play an important role in improving the prognosis and life quality of patients. The reconstruction of femoral offset is closely related to reserved length of calcar femorale, the head and neck length of prosthesis, angle degree of neck shaft and whether lower limb is isometric. Reconstruction strategy includes making a meticulous and standard measurement before the surgery, predicting the reserved length of calcar femorale, selecting a prosthesis with approximate anatomical neck-shaft angle and reconstructing offset by adjusting the head and neck length of the prosthetic during the operation. The aim of this article was to introduce the research progress and influence of offset on hip function, prosthetic wear and postoperative complications such as pain, limp and unequal leg length, and to discuss the reconstruction strategy.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2003;20(4):650-667
To elucidate the adsorption mechanism of CS-A to the surface of titanium, 5 ml solutions of the CS-A were reacted with 2 g of native and 2 g of calcium-treated titanium powder for 48 h at 37 degrees C. Residual CS-A was detected by the carbazole elaborate method. The results showed that no CS-A attached to native titanium. Comparatively, titanium treated with calcium produced a significant adsorption of CS-A. At concentration of 60 micrograms/ml, the adsorption of CA-A to calcium-treated titanium powder attained the maximum, 83 micrograms/g. Only EDTA can liberate the bound CS-A from titanium surface. These findings suggest that calcium ion is necessary for the adsorption of CS-A to titanium.

Objective To investigate the characteristic of ?-amyloid precursor protein (A?) processing in activated platelet in AD.Methods Thirty-six sporadic AD patients and 30 control subjects were included in this study.Blood was collected from the subjects to separate platelets. After treated by thrombin, the soluble amyloid precursor protein (APP) level in the snpernatants of platelets from 36 were analyzed by means of western blot with a specific antibody recognizing soluble APP.Meanwhile A? level was measured by radioimmunoassay. Results After treated with thrombin, the level of soluble APP in the supernatants of platelets in patients with AD decreased by 31.0% (P

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2006;0(07):-
To further explore the result of bilingual teaching in pediatrics,we randomly chose 200 undergraduates of 4 class and released students'questionnaires about bilingual teaching with teaching content before and after class to assess students'understanding of bilingual teaching and analysed appraisal result. We found no significant difference of student score between students accepting bilingual teaching and not accepting the bilingual teaching, but there was difference for English tests and expression level. So we think that students can fully accept the bilingual teaching of pediatrics under the premise with selecting appropriate teaching methods and means.

OBJECTIVETo study the genetic diversity of medicinal Dendrobium by SRAP.
METHODThe genetic diversity of 9 spices Dendrobium was studied by using the optimized SRAP reaction system. The NTSYS software was used to analyze the markers.
RESULTForty primer pairs were selected from 88 amplified 1 782 polymorphic bands with an average of 44.55 polymorphic bands per primer pair. Cluster analysis using UPGMA method based on the data of SRAP amplified bands by 40 primer pairs showed that 9 spices of could be distinguished into two main groups. Jaccard's similarity coefficient ranged from 0.330 2-0.789 2.
CONCLUSIONThe results of this research indicate that SRAP molecular marker is efficient to study the medical Dendrobium genetic diversity.

OBJECTIVETo assess whether the existing three types of pharmacogenetics-based Warfarin dosing algorithms appropriately predict the actual maintenance dose in Han Chinese mechanical heart valve replacement patients (n = 130).
METHODSThe patients' CYP2C9 and VKORC1 genetic polymorphisms were detected by PCR-RFLP. The genotype of CYP2C9, VKORC1 and other information were used to calculate predicted doses. Accuracy of the models was assessed using the absolute value of the difference between predicted dose and actual dose, calculated on both an absolute and percentage basis. Actual weekly dose was also regressed on predicted weekly dose, from which we obtained R(2) values. Clinical accuracy of the predictions was assessed by computing the proportion in which the predicted dose was 20% or more below the actual dose (under dosed), within 20% of the actual dose (ideally dosed), or 20% or greater above the actual dose (over dosed).
RESULTSThe average absolute error is the smallest for the predictions made by the Wen model (3.74 mg/wk), followed by the Ohno model (4.07 mg/wk) and IWPC model (5.05 mg/wk). R(2) was 40.2% in the Wen model, 38.2% in the Ohno model and 26.7% in the IWPC model. When comparing the percentage of patients for whom the predicted doses were ideal, the Wen model works the best (50.0%) in low-dose group (≤ 21 mg/wk), but the Ohno model works the best (85.29%) in middle-dose group (21 - 49 mg/wk), followed by the Wen model.
CONCLUSIONThe best accuracy is achieved by the Wen model and the best clinical accuracy is obtained by the Ohno model for predicting the actual maintenance dose in Han Chinese mechanical heart valve replacement patients.

Objective To investigate the variation characteristics of adenovirus type 55 (HAdV-B55) gene on plateaus. Methods Throat swabs were collected from HAdV-B55 infected patients and used for virus isolation in HEp-2 cells. The whole-genome sequence was obtained by PCR and sequencing.HAdV-B55 gene sequence was blast with the previously reported virus. Results HAdV-B55 strains were isolated from throat swabs, which were named LS89/Tibet/2016.The whole-genome sequence was obtained and submitted to GenBank with the accession number of KY002683.No large fragment gene recombination was found between this HAdV-B55 strain and previous strains, and the sequence similarity with QS-DLL strain was 99.9%.Conclusion This study provides more information for the evolution patterns of adenovirus 55 and will contribute to the prevention and control of HAdV-B55 infection in the future.

Objective To determine the distributions of major pathogenic capsular types and in vitro antimicrobial susceptibility of different serotypes of Streptococcus suis isolated from clinically healthy sows in China. Methods Tonsil specimens of clinically healthy sows from 10 different provinces in China were collected, a total of 421 S.suis were isolated. Capsular types of S.suis were decided using the sera agglutination reaction. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed using a broth microdilution method and the differences between serotypes were decided statistically. Results The prevalent capsular types of S.suis isolated from clinically healthy sows were 9(26.6% ), 3 (23.5%) and 7(15.7% ) types, respectively. 7.4% of isolates were confirmed to be S.suis type 2. Overall, differences in antimicrobial susceptibility among serotypes of S. suis were found. By comparison, lower resistance was observed for S.suis type 2 from clinically healthy sows. Conclusion The prevalence of pathogenic S.suis serotypes from clinically healthy sows again indicates S.suis is a conditional pathogenic bacterium. Differential prevention and treatment regimes should be considered according to antimicrobial susceptibility of different serotypes of S.suis.
