Objective: To investigate the effects of selenium enriched yeast on antioxidative activities and immune functions in pregnant dairy cows. Methods: Twenty-four healthy Holstein-Friesian dairy cows were used for the experiment. All of them were pregnant as comfirmed by rectal palpation and divided into 4 groups, of which 3 were assigned for test groups(TI, T2, T3) and one served as control (C). Three different selenium (Se) sources namely Se-yeast (Sel Plex50, from Alltech ), mixture of Se compounds (70% Sel Plex 50 + 30% Na selenite ) and Na selenite were respectively supplemented to 3 test groups. Whole feeding experiment lasted for 168 days. During the experiment, the blood GSH-Px activity, serum Se concentration, erythrocyte superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity, malonaldehyde(MDA) level in serum, lymphocyte transformation rate and T cell count were determined. Objective To investigate the influence of Chinese medicine ( CM) treatment on life span of middle-late primary hepatic carcinoma (PHC) patients. Results A multicenter retrospective cohort study was carried out in 489 PHC patients at the stages of Ⅱb, Ⅲa and Ⅲb collected from 15 domestic hospitals. With CM treatment as the exposure factor, the enrolled patients were divided into CM group, western medicine (WM) group and the CM-WM combination group. The main outcomes included median survival time (MST) and survival rate, and the effects of CM treatment and minimally invasive therapy on MST were observed. Results Half-a-year survival rate, one-year survival rate and two-year survival rate were 50%, 9%, 1% in CM group, 70%, 30%, 6% in CM-WM combination group, and 50%, 10%, 0% in WM group, respectively. The survival rates in CM-WM combination group differed from those in CM group and WM group (P<0.01), but the differences of survival rates between CM group and WM group were insignificant (P>0.05) . MST at the stages of Ⅱb, Ⅲa, Ⅲb in CM-WM group was obviously prolonged as compared with the other two groups (P<0.01), and MST at the stages of Ⅲa, Ⅲb in CM group was also obviously prolonged as compared with WM group (P<0.05) . The difference of MST at the stage of Ⅱb was insignificant between CM group and WM group ( P>0.05) . CM treatment and minimally invasive therapy were effective on prolonging the survival time of PHC patients ( P<0.01) . The results of COX regressionanalysis showed that Karnofsky scores, CM treatment and minimally invasive therapy were the preventive factors for the prognosis. Conclusion CM-WM combination group has the best long -term therapeutic effect. CM -WM combination treatment is effective on increasing MST and long-term survival rate, in particular for PHC patients at the stages ofⅡb, Ⅲa and Ⅲb. CM treatment and minimally invasive therapy are helpful for the prolongation of the survival time of PHC patients.

Objective To explore the dose-effect relationship and optimal concentration of sodium taurocholate (NaTc) to establish acute necrosis pancreatitis (ANP) complicating MODS in a rat. Methods 280 SD rats were randomly divided into control group (n =40) and 3.5%, 4%, 4.5%, 5% ANP group (n = 60, respectively). ANP groups were induced by retrograde injection of NaTc solution into the pancreatic duct of rats. Rats in each model group were sacrificed at 1, 3, 6, 12 and 24 h after the model induction. Serum amylase, serum total bilirubin, creatinine, blood gas analysis, and pathological changes of pancreas were determined. Survival rate at 24 h after the model induction was observed in other 20 ANP rats in each group. Results In each groups, the serum amylase level, creatinine, blood gas analysis and pathological changes all increased corresponding to the increase of NaTc, and there was significant dose-effect relationship and time-effect. In 4.5% group, the dysfunction of liver and kidney reached the peak at 6 h,while the respiratory dysfunction reached its peak at 12 h. Its incidence of MODS was 52.5%, which was significantly higher than those in 3.5%, 4.0% group (15.0% and 37.5%) ;and 24 h survival rate of 4.5% group was 65%, which was significantly higher than that in 5% group (30%). Conclusions 4.5% NaTc solution may be the optimal concentration to establish the ANP model, which had higher incidence of MODS and 24 h survival rate.

Objective To investigate the time-course change of intra-abdominal pressure (IAP), TNF-α in rat with acute necrotizing pancreatitis (ANP) and its mechanism. Methods 80 SD rats were randomly divided into ANP group and control group. ANP group was induced by retrograde injection of 4.5% sodium taurocholate into the pancreatic duct in SD rats, while control group was induced by injection of saline at the same dosage. Eight rats in each group were killed at 1 h, 3 h, 6 h, 12 h and 24 h, respectively. The serum levels of amylase, TNF-α were determined;IAP, amount of abdominal ascites, pancreatic pathologic changes were evaluated. Results The levels of amylase in ANP group increased progressively with time, which were 32-folds higher than those in control group at 24 h. The serum levels of TNF-α in ANP group reached the peak at 6 h, and were significantly higher than those in the control group. The amount of abdominal ascites increased post-ANP induction and reached the peak at 24 h, which was 4.7-folds higher than that in the control group. The IAP significantly increased 1 h after induction, which was 3 times as high as the control group in 3 h group and 9 times in 12 h group. Pathologic injuries deteriorated progressively and reached the peak at 24 h. Conclusions Significant IAP occurred in ANP rats and reached the peak at 12 h, TNF-α reached the peak at 6 h, therefore IAP may be the secondary response to inflammatory reaction.

A method for the determination of bisphenol A, octyphenol, nonylphenol in water samples was developed using stir bar sorptive extraction (SBSE) based on poly (vinylimidazole-divinylbenzene) monolithic material (SBSEM) combined with high performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection.To achieve the optimum extraction performance, several main extraction parameters, including extraction and desorption time, pH value and contents of inorganic salt in the sample matrix, were investigated.Under the optimized experimental conditions, the method showed good linearity and repeatability, low detection limits (S/N = 3) and quantification limits (S/N = 10) of the proposed method for the target compounds were achieved within the range of 0.13-0.66 and 0.44-2.19 μg/L, respectively.The extraction performance of SBSEM to the target compounds was also compared with commercial SBSE which used polydimethylsiloxane as coating.The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of the target compounds in water samples.The recoveries of spiked target compounds in real samples ranged from 37.8%-101.1%.The results indicated that the developed method possessed advantages such as sensitivity, simplicity, low cost and high feasibility.

ObjectiveTo explore the features of the cleanliness change with time during the use of laminar operating rooms in order to establish reliable quality assurance system. MethodsTwo grade 3 lami-nar operation rooms were chosen to be tested after one and a half year and two and a half years, laser counter was used to detect the static particulates after cleaning for 30 minutes and 45 minutes. ResultsAfter the laminar operation room was used for one and a half years the amount of 0.5 μm particulates in indoor air was less than 350 per liter, and after two and a half years it's above 350 per liter after cleaning for 30 minutes, an obvious difference than the previous one. The anaount of 1 μm and 2 pan particulates also increase obviously, but ff cleaning for 45 minutes the amount of 0.5 μm particulates in indoor air will fulfill the qualification. Al-though the amount of 0.5 μm, 1 pan and 2 μm particulates after 2 years using was higher than the one and a half yesrs'using after cleaning for 45 minutes, but the difference had no statistic meaning. CondusionsThe elesnliness of laminar operation rooms will drop as time prolonged, Amount of particulates in indoor air will in-crease too but the cleanliness can be ensured by extending cleaning time. After the quality assurance sys-tem was established the amount of smile particulates is still within the standard level

Objective To systematically evaluate the consistency of sensitivity (SEN) and specificity (SPE) between positron-emission tomography (PET) /magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and PET/CT in the diagnosis of lymphoma.Methods The databases,including PubMed,Cochrane Library,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM),CNKI,Wanfang and VIP,were retrieved till October 2016.The studies published the SEN and SPE of PET/MRI and PET/CT in the diagnosis of lymphoma were collected and selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria by two reviewers independently.Then,data extraction and analysis were performed by two independent reviewers.Resnlts A total of 6 studies,including 221 cases of patients with lymphoma,wereincluded.Among the 6 studies,4 of them provided patients-based and site-based data (including one provided data about staging ofdisease),and 2 studies only provided site-based data (including one provided data about staging of disease).The results indicated thatboth PET/MRI and PET/CT can accurately detect the lesions in patients with lymphoma,and the locations and numbers of lesions found bythe two methods were almost the same.Additionally,PET/MRI and PET/CT had high SEN and SPE for detection of lesions in patientswith lymphoma.and had high consistency in the diagnosis of lymphoma.Condusion The SEN and SPE of PET/MRI were similar to those of PET/CT in the diagnosis of lymphoma.PET/MRI may become a significant method for diagnosing lymphoma.

Objective To investigate the protection effect of dexmedetomidine against H2O2 injury in Human renal tubular epithelial cells(HK-2 cells). Methods HK-2 cells cultured in vitro were randomly divided into four groups(n = 24): control group, dexmedetomidine pretreatment group, H2O2 injury group, H2O2 injury +dexmedetomidine pretreatment group. Cell viabilities were measured by MTS assay, cell apoptosis were detected using flow cytometry, and expression of HIF-1α protein was quantified by western blot. HK-2 cells were divided into 8 groups by combining with three treatment factors such as PI3K inhibitor LY294002, dexmedetomidine and H2O2 injury. MTS assay was used to detect cell viability and western blot was used to quantify protein expression of HIF-1α,Bcl-2 and Bax after treatment in each group. Results Dexmedetomidine significantly increased the level of HIF-1α、 Bcl-2 in HK-2 cells after H2O2 injury, thus improved viabilities and reduced apotosis of cells. Moreover, effect on H2O2 injury cells of Dexmedetomidine was reversed by PI3K inhibitor LY294002. Conclusion Dexmedetomidine could protect against H2O2 injury by up-regulating HIF-1α expression through activating PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway in HK-2 cells.

Objective To compare the difference of the Cif gene expression and the inflammation markers (such as WBC and CRP et al)between mucoid and non-mucoid Pseudonmonasaeruginosa,combining with the clinical data.Methods Real-time RT-PCR was used to determine the expression level of Cif in Pseudonmonas aeruginosa and clinical data were collected to discuss the relationship among the number of WBC,the level of CRP and the Cif gene expression.Results The expression level of Cif gene in mucoid Pseudonmonas aeruginosa had a significantly higher than the non-mucoid Pseudonmonas aerugi-nosa,which was statistically significant (t=2.09,P<0.05).Specimen data collected from patients with the infection of mu-coid or non-mucoid Pseudonmonas aeruginosa showed that the number of WBC and the level of CRP were not significantly different (t=0.65,0.60,P>0.05).The data also showed that the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator in-hibitory factor (Cif)gene expression level had little correlation with the number of WBC (a=0.095,R2=0.029).Conclusion The expression of Cif gene may works for the biofilm formation of mucoid Pseudonmonas aeruginosa,which maybe a new virulence factor to Pseudonmonas aeruginosa.
